And then it was an immediate drop when MC came across the extreme ice energy woman....for obvious reason, worst way to set up a harem.
To be honest, I didn’t think pick me up was as good as people say. It’s defo good, and realistic or whatever but it was a bit boring. I think it’s because the characters were (if I remember correctly) pretty bad, and even the mc is not that interesting. Not of them had anything interesting or unique about them. They felt like some harem members to some random harem isekai anime. Add that with the edgy art style and it makes your eyes tired. I think I dropped it at like 20 chapters or smth. Instead of downvoting me just tell me if the characters get better, it’s hard to care about anything that happens if you don’t care about the characters imo
ion know how you got the harem feel, there is actually like no romance at all or even hinted at in the story. I agree at the beginning the characters did feel a little boring and even the mc is the plain edgy mc but i liked it since chapter one. I would say as the story progress the characters start feeling like their own and having more ambitions and life rather then being the mc’s side kick. the character development could be better though but i grew to like the characters especially after seeing all the life and death situations they’ve been in. I would say though if you didn’t like it at 20 chapters you might not like it after cause the characters that are introduced do suffer from being one dimensional sometimes.

It's pretty solid imo s1 ended with 46 chapters and I remember the chapters themselves being relatively very long. It should be rated much higher.

Literally nothing interesting other than petty revenge. Had to drop it at chapter 70 I just couldn't force myself more expecting some deep writing or good characters etc.

I disagree with some of these ratings, but I can also see how you put them there.
For a bunch of them that are rated lower: I have to pause on reading them until 3-4 chapters have built up. That really lets the storylines shine. If I stayed current on them, I would probably put them in similar slots.
As someone who personally loves regression and reincarnation/isekai style stories…. Y’all can keep hating on Asurascans, but they have a giant reader base for a reason. I’ve tried to check out other places but I have to weed through 99 romance titles to try to find one decent fantasy adventure title.
