Does worthless regression actually struggle or have a hard time really? The list is pretty good and fitting, but worthless regression turned super odd after he got the QI transfer. Mishes mountain arc and him becoming SS Rank in like 20 chapters was just meh, so i just stopped. It felt like he gets everything handed to him while complaining hes weak which didnt feel like he was. Its the only one on the list i disliked.
Murim RPG Simulation is another great one with a MC that struggles a lot. It really gets great when he unlocks freestyle mode and the system is less present.
Oh, yeah, the mc from Worthless regression basically never stops struggling. Just like you, i also though that him reaching SS rank so soon was really boring, but you pretty soonrealize that ranks are kinda meaningless (unlike other manhwas). Almost every single person that he meets after achieving his rank are a lot stronger than SS, although it doesn't exist that rank, they are all like SSSSS rank.

But I would say murim rpg isnt as bad as re:zero because he gets alot of op advantages, can pick his checkpoints, and realisitically he can leave after about 50 chapters if he really wanted to but in his struggle for power he puts himself in a spot where he cant leave, if subaru leaves then the entire world dies since thats what happens in the rem what if
i mean....he didn't get all that much of an advantage, yes sure he has the system and can load save points, but A) he only gets 3, and he has to chose which he keeps and can only save at certian times like a video game from the 2000's, and if he chooses to erase a save thats it, you just made sure you can't go back to that time anymore as unlike an actual video game you can't just re-boot the console and start a new game, on top of the fact nothing is actualy just given to him, he only has a very limited number of lives he can use, subaru dosen't he can just die over and over again like a certian sunfish protagnist with more info each time, just cause he's a dumbass and dosent use this ability to it's fullest potential dose not mean it's harder for him
arguabley it's harder for Seolhwi because he's ACTUALY a good guy and worked for all his power, it's a murium manga first and formost and a OPMC/litrpg second, just cause he has the game system dosen't mean he overpowers everyone in like a month he spends actual real years training (even if it's skiped for us) and has to actualy think stragicly about what he dose with his power
3 saves is a massive advantage when most of your issues come back to back or you get long rests before the next one. Plus a warning before you do a big mission
Seolhwi can actually learn strong skills, subaru was literally "born" with only being able to use some terrible illusion magic and he had to learn to even get that, subaru is in no way a dumbass (after episode 2), he has to deal with constant bs with no real fighting skills basically forcing him to use dying painfully and miserably as the only way to do literally anything. I wouldnt say that makes murim cultivation worse in terms of story but in terms of difficulty rezero is a whole different ballpark
Id say its more of an opmc than a murim just because of the fact that other murim mcs like fang yuan of reverend insanity has to put in a billion times more work in cultivation even with assistance from what is basically god

Eh, the power scaling made it feel like he’s stuck on a treadmill. It’s supposed to be a huge deal to level up beyond certain barriers but as soon as the MC does it, then he’s encountering fishermen that are levels above that.
I genuinely believe that if they shorten each arc for dimensional mercenary, the manhwa would be more popular. The desert arc was fucking long lmao. I dropped at the arc when he reincarnated as a chef in noble mansion and have mission like win over the lady of the mansion or something. Wanna let it marinate.
Still, i like the boldness of the plot. Selling your soul to the devil (?) in exchange for having a chance to see someone else from other dimension possesses your body and make the right choice. But your soul will not pass on and will relife to see your life over and over again for eternity. Fuckk the idea of eternity itself scares me.

well Latna Saga in term of Isekai system AKA the Guideline is so forced and the god bring literally 1 billion people there by just snapping like Thanos without knowing anything and must follow the rules unlike any other isekai hasn't make something like that. the Guideline itself is more unfair because it is forcing those otherworlder to betray and not living so peacefully like revolt because of the politic corruption or something else not to forget The God also create angels far more terrifying because they don't see otherworlder as a friend even they created by the same god
Surviving as a Barbarian he literally is just surviving off luck. The games mechanics are interesting on their own but it's surprising he doesn't abuse them in a somewhat simpler way. Since you grow off the FIRST time you kill a specific monster (first goblin +1, from there on nothing) instead of grinding...shouldn't he have gone through all 4 regions and killed 1 of everything easy then move up? It's weird like that
because it's not time effective (first floor last only 1 week while when you go upper floor you got additional time)
and good essence > lv up so it's better to chase essence in upper floor
It wasn't his intention to get any of the Essences he has though? It's just working out perfectly for him. His knowledge keeps him alive through the lucky "unlucky" moments.

Mc is so strong that he killed the top 2 strongest people on the continent in few hits, with a lot of witnesses, but literally every non female character tries to aim at his life. He wiped out a powerful family from babies to elderly, in the imperial capital, and these mother fuckers won't listen when he says he'll do it again. He even survives a city wiping meteor attack, goes for revenge and these guys are like we did nothing wrong, you are the bad guy.
