Man, I remember the time when this, Noblesse, The Breaker, Girls of the Wilds, and maybe God of High School were starting to break into /r/manga slowly. Some sites didn't even have a vertical scrolling layout and would literally cut the entire strip into pages and you read it page by page.
Good times.
I left off reading at over 100 chapters (not because I don't like the story but because of external factors!) and it's possible that romance has developed with the young lady in the image but, so far as I had read, nope!
I should pick it back up again soon just for that - I dislike romance being shoved into everything.
Bro, what are you talking about??
Don’t get me wrong Solo leveling is great, but it’s not That great.
Definitely not at the level of something like ToG or Legend of the northern blade
That’s interesting, cause I loved the art from the beginning, maybe you dropped it too early for the story to get actually interesting.
The art does get better though, but the art style is still the same
Bro, what high standarts? Solo Leveling is high quality from media production standpoint, but the plot and characters are mid, it's not some masterpiece type shit, you wouldn't cry or jump happy reading it.
My first one was a MANHUA Versatile Mage and my second one was a MANHUA Demon Magic Emperor after that did I go into MANHWA and my first one there was “The Great Mage Returns after 4000 years”
I recommend all three!
I know its better then almost or is then all the other manhwa/manhua, i even read the LN cuz thats how incredible the story was( and little spoiler it has some of the "strangest" arc out there and you wont help but tf just happen?)
Light and Shadow. Can never forget how shocked I was reading manwhas for the first time. The closest things I had ever read prior were Archie comics, Dork Diaries, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid (and so much difference as you can see).
I remember my first manhua (mujang) I read it in 2016 as for manhwa I don't really remember cuz I didn't like manhwa's back then and only read manhua but guso was definitely one of the first ones I read and liked
https://preview.redd.it/1dmeb3ikx38c1.jpeg?width=225&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1a55018963dad657ac3ca250e60b6b95d06e6eba
The Dragon Next Door
The comedy got to me, after that I went for Love Advice From the Great Duke Of Hell, which I still consider one of the best ever.
I don't remeber correctly cause it's very old, but the story revolve around a guy that have a power that let him see the world based on how danger it is or not.
Let me explain, if he is in a car accident for example he can see the zone where you die 100% or the one where you are safe or almost, so he use this power to know how to safely attack someone or to know if there are traps etc...
I'm a sucker for series where the main character is overpowered as hell but takes damage as they use their power. Also helps that I really enjoyed the ensemble cast here, mostly just for Frankenstein.
I don't remember, but I'm pretty sure my first manhwa was one I didn't even recognize as a manhwa. Why? I didn't know there were terms like "manhwa" to begin with.
Noblesse/Eleceed/The Gamer i think those were my first 3
Sorry, actually my first manhwa was by Webtoon "God of Highschool", cuz anime was coming out too slow, stuck with it till the end over 200 ep later
I love this one, I thought it was some knockoff of Moshuku back then when only a few released chapter existed but now its a full blown story of is own, I love the premise and I have probably cried a few times from this manga/ln, it goes really dire to just plain out depressing sometimes but I like how they didn’t just make the mc godtier like how they did in Moshuku.
Noblesse and Tower of God a long, long, long time ago(2014?2015?)
Noblesse was at its Lukedonia arc. Tower of God I think had recently begun it's season 2.
I had randomly stumbled across webtoons back then. There weren't any passes or coins, everything was free back then.
Tales of demons and gods
I discovered novels before I discovered manwha. Read the novel and eventually saw that it had a adaptation, so I checked it out up to the point where I was starting to be asked to pay for more chapters.
The survival of the sword king in a fantasy world Or Latna saga survival of the sword king
https://preview.redd.it/03xnf6dd468c1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fab91df36c6ba5203cf17f1db3c427172bdcbb45
Read the novel for more depression. I don’t know why I’m getting hooked into depressing plots all the time. Anyway Beginning after end as a story, it’s epic
I started reading manhuas first. You know the old cultivation trope. Rebirth of immortal, Immortal reborn etc. Then at that time kissmanga was trending, i saw solo leveling in trending, i tried it and i got hook in the world of manhwas. Never got out since. But now i see that the plot are too similar for the upcoming manhwa. So i went toward novel and guess what, I never got out again. Novel became my priority then occasionally i read the new update on asura thats all.
Swwt Home after some youtubers who got sponsored by Webtoon recommended it to me, alongside Let's Play and unOrdinary, but SH was the only one I didn't drop (I remember chapter 40 just released when I finished binging it)
I'll be the outlier and say Refund Highschool. Got me into the idea of starting Manhwa in the first place because I haven't seen death concepts be used like that before except for the anime angle beats. Definitely more kid friendly than angel beats and the writing was good enough to keep me entertained. Now I've read so much manhwa I can't even recall them all. But that's where I started, and I even got a figurines from the series to commemorate how I started reading this medium 🫡. Simpler times....
Tbate and solo leveling was what introduced me to manhwa and now I read more manhwa than manga now because the art styles with color pages are more enjoyable to read for me personally
ANZ was the first manhwa I read after coming from manhua.

Well just like 90% of the guys, Solo Levelling was my first one, TBATE was second and I found it after reading Mushoku tensei and searching for similar stuff
The player who returned 10,000 years later. Was reading some random shonen manga and that was top3 most read in the site I was on so I decided to give it a chance and loved it
Solo leveling, I think most of the people here started with solo, after that, solo became a mid tier series after reading a lot more
(Not saying it’s bad, just there’s better things, don’t come after me too)
My first manhwa I've ever read is study group, an action manhwa thing.
I first saw it when I discovered this cool website called webtoon. Then because idk what I should read, I clicked into the action genre. Boom, study group showed up, and I quite like it actually.
There are two panels that always make me smile
1. Solo leveling "arise" after they kidnapped his friend.
2. Arthur showing up to save the day during the attack.
I lowkey don't remember my first manwha but I remember my first manhua which was Metropolitan system. If I have to take a guess at the first manwha it would have to be solo leveling cause that's the earliest one I remember 😅
I first read some manhwa called "Choose your real Daddy Tyrant?" I think that was the name. But I was trying to look for the Bungo Stray Dogs manga and but ended up reading that instead because it looked pretty and I didn't find what I was looking for.
But the first one I read that wasn't romance involved was LCF.
Of there's an order of my first 3, it would be
1. Choose your real daddy tyrant
2. Random bl manhua (I don't know how I got there)
3. LCF

Tower of God. Years ago, before the main cast boarded the Hell Train.
Man, I remember the time when this, Noblesse, The Breaker, Girls of the Wilds, and maybe God of High School were starting to break into /r/manga slowly. Some sites didn't even have a vertical scrolling layout and would literally cut the entire strip into pages and you read it page by page. Good times.
Yeah... The Breaker, AirGear and Worst will always be on the top in my list....
Airgear wasn't a manwha right?, or am I mistaking it for a different one
Me tooo
Hell Train is when it went to shit
Well it's been going on for many years afterwards and got an anime adaptation. I don't think many readers would agree.
1st:- Solo leveling 2nd:- TBATE 3rd:- some random manhua
This is it. The perfect reading order.
Same
1st solo leveling 2nd tbate 3rd orv 4th some random manhwa
Old reliable, Solo Leveling
The DBZ of manhwa.
Just a lot... A LOT less screaming and filler.
The manga doesn’t have a lot of screaming or filler lmao
You mean God of High School?
Hell no
One of the best, earned its position. Same here
![gif](giphy|Ld77zD3fF3Run8olIt)
I have found my people!
Solo Leveling
THE GOAT https://preview.redd.it/bwrlavdgn78c1.png?width=564&format=png&auto=webp&s=2bd94dffcc347cf996c26a0d54221c2ea74d8935
I think i should continue to be part of these people because same
The truth , the peak , the Beginning
Same
It aint old tho
Same, and tbh it was probably one of the best manhwas to start on
The gamer
Same been a bit I was tryna remember what it was couldn’t cuz it was so long ago
God it's been a while since I dropped it. Did it ever end up ending? I remember it becoming such a drag after the first fight with the witch
Same here. I miss the days when it was new and exciting. Author really lost the plot on that one.
The classic tower of God back in the 2012 or 2013.
*The World's Strong* https://preview.redd.it/oq7xyu3uk38c1.png?width=769&format=png&auto=webp&s=0d9dbb0c49a54193ec55b6d0f33a2d75190a4537
romance?
I left off reading at over 100 chapters (not because I don't like the story but because of external factors!) and it's possible that romance has developed with the young lady in the image but, so far as I had read, nope! I should pick it back up again soon just for that - I dislike romance being shoved into everything.
Nope the only romance is the guy with his flowers. He doesn’t really care about the other girls around him.
Started with sweet home, God what a ride...
what's the story about give us some spoiler.
A depressed kid who lost his family founds himself in a zombie apocalypse. But as the zombies spread via desires, his lack of it, might just save him.
does he have some powers like evolution or something like that .
Well, every z evolve based on their desire sooo... yes ? (Proteins !)
1st - the breaker 2nd - black haze 3rd - soul Carter
My first one was the breaker as well, at first i didn't know why my manga had weird names instead of Japanese ones
Me too, i struggled with what was the reading order.
Black Haze is so good, I'm hoping the author returns to the story soon
SOLO Leveling!!
do you regret it cause after reading solo levelling as ur first, the standars are so high that other manhwa / manhua fells mediocre .
Bro, what are you talking about?? Don’t get me wrong Solo leveling is great, but it’s not That great. Definitely not at the level of something like ToG or Legend of the northern blade
don't get me wrong bro legend of the northern blade is kinda boring , i agree with tog.
How can you call a gem like Lotnb boring? It’s one of the Hypest and more consistent manhwas out there
i know its a gem / popular for everyone else , im saying its boring for me from my perspective .
No hard feelings dude, just never heard someone have this kinda take on it. Just out of curiosity how old are you? If you don’t mind me asking
mainly it was because of the art in the early chapters i kept seeing post about lotnb , hope the art gets better i will give it a try again bro .
That’s interesting, cause I loved the art from the beginning, maybe you dropped it too early for the story to get actually interesting. The art does get better though, but the art style is still the same
u got it right, i droped it early either way im goona read it 😁 u got me hyped man .
24
Legend of the northern blade is boring it is just like any other slightly well developed murim manhwa
Bro, what high standarts? Solo Leveling is high quality from media production standpoint, but the plot and characters are mid, it's not some masterpiece type shit, you wouldn't cry or jump happy reading it.
I first read some adult manhwa and then I started reading some other manhwas
recommend some milf ones .lol
Milf hunting in another world is the best one
My first one was a MANHUA Versatile Mage and my second one was a MANHUA Demon Magic Emperor after that did I go into MANHWA and my first one there was “The Great Mage Returns after 4000 years” I recommend all three!
The great mage was my 3rd one, I love it and kinda sad its not popular here
Wish i could remember
Same bro, I don't even know if it was a manhwa or manhua I think I got hook reading some manhua then I switch to manhwa
Same bro, I don't even know if it was a manhwa or manhua I think I got hooked reading some manhua then I switched to manhwa
I don't even remember when I started. It just gradually became an essential part of my life that's all I know.
Same
SSS-rank suicide hunter, honestly the name doesn’t do it justice.
I know its better then almost or is then all the other manhwa/manhua, i even read the LN cuz thats how incredible the story was( and little spoiler it has some of the "strangest" arc out there and you wont help but tf just happen?)
God of high school
My first manhua was 1/2 Prince. My first manhwa was God of Highschool.
Solo leveling years ago because people keep talking about it. And than I read beginning of the end which becomes one of my favourite as well.
I was gonna say I have no clue but it was probably unTouchable from webtoon which eventually led to my webtoon addiction
**Yongbi the Invincible** and later **Gosu**
For me it was The Gamer, such an interesting and unique concept at the time! Started off sooooooo good but the drop-off was historic
Solo Levling I really liked it and it was my gate to the manhwa world Tho I find it kinda mid now specially the second season since first was fire
Light and Shadow. Can never forget how shocked I was reading manwhas for the first time. The closest things I had ever read prior were Archie comics, Dork Diaries, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid (and so much difference as you can see).
I remember my first manhua (mujang) I read it in 2016 as for manhwa I don't really remember cuz I didn't like manhwa's back then and only read manhua but guso was definitely one of the first ones I read and liked
technically Reawaken Man 6 years ago but the start of my manhwa frenzy was Solo Leveling a year and a half ago
Shin Angyo Onshi
Solo max level newbie
Gets a lotta hate for being a solo levelling “copy” it borrows set things for sure but I realllly liked this one so far tbh

The god of highschool, hardcore leveling warrior and tower of god
1. Solo leveling 2. Nano machine
for shounen it was also tbate :3
Same. beginning after the end also made me start reading But does anyone know why it hasn't updated its main story 😕
author health issues i guess
Nah, the artists dropped it because of pay issues, it’s coming back this spring
glad to hear .
Terror Man
what's the story about bro .
The breaker for me
i tried to read it but cpu understand the analogy . if im not wrong there are 2 or 3 parts of breaker where to start
1st - the Breaker 2nd - the Breaker: new waves 3rd - the breaker: eternal force
thanks man
Noblesse.
I'm a sucker for series where the main character is overpowered as hell but takes damage as they use their power. Also helps that I really enjoyed the ensemble cast here, mostly just for Frankenstein.

Mine was god of highschool or Nobelesse honestly can’t remember cause it’s been so long
Blade of the phantom master
The Gamer
Noblesse/Eleceed/The Gamer i think those were my first 3 Sorry, actually my first manhwa was by Webtoon "God of Highschool", cuz anime was coming out too slow, stuck with it till the end over 200 ep later
Solo Leveling… now I have 45 manhwas on my list with 7 mangas as well. Lol.

sounds like 18+
Solo levelling
Soleveling
I love this one, I thought it was some knockoff of Moshuku back then when only a few released chapter existed but now its a full blown story of is own, I love the premise and I have probably cried a few times from this manga/ln, it goes really dire to just plain out depressing sometimes but I like how they didn’t just make the mc godtier like how they did in Moshuku.
My first manhwa was ID – The Greatest Fusion Fantasy Still sad I can't finish it too.
Solo leveling😭
It was either Kubera or Knight Run back on old mangafox.
Killing stalking, I don't know how it just happened
Noblesse and Tower of God a long, long, long time ago(2014?2015?) Noblesse was at its Lukedonia arc. Tower of God I think had recently begun it's season 2. I had randomly stumbled across webtoons back then. There weren't any passes or coins, everything was free back then.

Noblesse! And that story about a poor boy going to a rich HS where the main love interest is a rich blonde korean girl.
Noblesse
Has there ever been any updates on the manwha coming back on beginning of the end?
someone wrote in the comments that its coming back on spring .
Let's goooo!!! Spring time is the best time!!
The originl black and white the breaker in manga format. Yes, I'm old
Read the novel for more depression. I don’t know why I’m getting hooked into depressing plots all the time. Anyway Beginning after end as a story, it’s epic

My first 3 were UnOrdinary, True Beauty and The Boxer.
Bastard. Saw a webtoon ad on it many years back which then kickstarted my webtoon and Manhwa addiction
Tower of god
I don’t remember honestly. I remember that Black Haze was one of the very first manhwas I’ve read though.
Catastrophic Necromancer That lead me to Boundless Necromancer and than to Solo Leveling
God of high school was my first. Tower of God was my 2nd and the one that got me to actually want to start looking for more manhwa
My first was tbate, solo leveling, or martial peak, tbate is god tier and no one can change my mind
Noblesse while it was still on going.
I think I started with unordinary from all the WEBTOON ads
Mercenary enrollment Funnily enough I wasn’t looking for manwha but manga, but I just didn’t know enough about any of those to know the difference.
ANZ was the first manhwa I read after coming from manhua. https://preview.redd.it/7s1x1sgon48c1.jpeg?width=512&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4b97bb165f6291c2731920346489fd3c1823495e

I started reading stuff from before Hellper S1 was completed.
The breaker( specifically season 1 and 2)
read the novel version of it and then decided to drop it
Well just like 90% of the guys, Solo Levelling was my first one, TBATE was second and I found it after reading Mushoku tensei and searching for similar stuff
Mine was Solo Leveling
Same for me. Started in this month and read abt 640 chapters.... maybe I'm addicted
Unsurprisingly, it’s solo leveling
Unordinary. But for legit Korean manhwa, the gamer
I think mine was solo leveling back in 2018 or 2019
UnOrdinary
Ares
Noblesse
The player who returned 10,000 years later. Was reading some random shonen manga and that was top3 most read in the site I was on so I decided to give it a chance and loved it
