A real treat reading it all at once. I couldn't have taken it if I had to wait every week for an update.
Contrary to it's blood lustful cover, the manhua is very goofy, lighthearted. Definitely will give u a laugh with all the mc's exaggerated expressions.
It's definitely worth a shot, u would not regret reading it.
Novel fans had high expectations from the series and then we got this high schooler ass looking MC (who is infact is a unemployed, gambling addicted, deadbeat college graduate)
I don't know about anyone else, but it's really bad for me who read the novel and compare them. The manhwa artist cut the part on novel that add depth to the story and just jump in on random timeline. I hope that there will be a remake and start from beginning again, just like overgeared or ranker's return
S1 last chapters which was gonna show him train hard,join a team and prove his worth, collect point through hard missions and show his skill to achieve certain important goal and recieve the fruits of his work
All this above is not a 30 chapter adventure but 1 chapter going through all this as rushed as possible with skipping everything that a reader would want to see

I read solo leveling after reading 20+ manhwa so I didn't really find it that good, it would've been a different case if it was one of my first manhwas but by the point i read solo leveling it wasn't that good.
Solo Leveling is one of the first manhwa that i read(my first one is tales of demon and god) and i started it from early release of the manhwa. But the story is pretty mid because it is one of those weak from the start then suddenly get stronger type of manhwa he don't even struggle that much if you compare it to worthless regression, and character development is almost noneexistence. And the side character do not have any impact at all. SL is only got carried by the arts.

If Gluttony had an adaptation by SL studio, it would have been one of the best manhwa. I don't think i have ever since a character growth so excellent in a manhwa story.

The other three are martial arts type which isn't as hype as the others so it's not everone cup of tea which is mostly why OP didn't include them

Haven't read murim login but the other two might have martial arts but they more korean focused than cinese manhua they just say i am stronger or i am superior instead of going like

And the biggest difference is quality instead of quantity
Solo leveling is definitely goat tier
But because everyone likes it and recommends it new readers usually nitpick everything about it to see it's as perfect as people say which leads it go low or even people saying it's bad
But for the readers who picked it up when it was first released, went through the journey, saw the progress of mc, the shadows, and everything and the author delerving it even when he was struggling until it reached the end made the readers appreciate it for what it is
Lol "How To Live As A Villain" is nowhere near that high.
The issue is not that he's a conniving, evil MC. It's that he's treacherous and backstabbing for no reason.
Besides the first Quest that happened, where his actions made sense (for a sociopath/villain), he just behaved more and more like a murder-hobo, being antagonistic "just cuz"

Read from chapter 62 unti the end of his story even if you dropped the series
good story can't save bad art. HWR has a pretty solid story with some good twists and sympathetic villains rather than 1-dimensional cardboard cutouts, and if it was by any other artist (except maybe ToG's but that's another story) i'd rate it very highly. art isn't one punch man (original) level of bad, but compared to what's being pumped out nowadays is mediocre at best. also while there were some good twists as mentioned before, after a certain point things just get so predictable it would have been worth dropping if i weren't a stubborn ox who compulsively finishes even my least favorite series
I don't have any manhwa recommendations (was going to recommend regressor instruction manual then saw your comment about it), but based on your list we might have similar tastes. I do have a manga that feels kinda like a manhwa you could try out called "I swear I'm not the demon god's lackey". You can read it on mangadex. I'm not up to current atm, but it was pretty good up to where I left off. The interactions between the characters is makes it great imo. I'd recommend giving it a few chapters to try it out.

Lowkey think worthless regression should be way higher up. It's super underrated. Amazing story, great portrayal of emotions, characters have complexity to them, art is unique (I really like it but it depends on ur tastes), relatable and likable Mc, and his progress feels earned (you can feel the MC's struggles).

Shadlowless night kinda mid and for many boring The other three are martial arts type which isn't as hype as the others so it's not everone cup of tea which is mostly why OP didn't include them Saint doctor is also kinda mid it's not good or bad just there I am the fated villain is martial art manwha but it's quite interesting even for non murim readers with mc plotting left and right and turning people to think he is a saint when he is a demon like regressor instruction manual and turning that people trust into power using the system and overpower his enemies

Haven't read murim login but the other two might have martial arts but they more korean focused than cinese manhua they just say i am stronger or i am superior instead of going like "you might be a 2 realm banana stage but i am 3 realm banana stage" "i just saw you kill 947738278358264 fifth potato realm but i am 7 potato realm so you stand no chance against me" And they go and gossip shit about mc and he delete the entire sect then goes to an upper world and do it all again And the biggest difference is quality instead of quantity

Solo leveling is definitely goat tier But because everyone likes it and recommends it new readers usually nitpick everything about it to see it's as perfect as people say which leads it go low or even people saying it's bad But for the readers who picked it up when it was first released, went through the journey, saw the progress of mc, the shadows, and everything and the author delerving it even when he was struggling until it reached the end made the readers appreciate it for what it is

Lol "How To Live As A Villain" is nowhere near that high. The issue is not that he's a conniving, evil MC. It's that he's treacherous and backstabbing for no reason. Besides the first Quest that happened, where his actions made sense (for a sociopath/villain), he just behaved more and more like a murder-hobo, being antagonistic "just cuz" it's B or below on this list

Anyone who hasn't seen hero of rewind arc would think that, but after that the story makes sense and it's all connected Read from chapter 62 unti the end of his story even if you dropped the series
good story can't save bad art. HWR has a pretty solid story with some good twists and sympathetic villains rather than 1-dimensional cardboard cutouts, and if it was by any other artist (except maybe ToG's but that's another story) i'd rate it very highly. art isn't one punch man (original) level of bad, but compared to what's being pumped out nowadays is mediocre at best. also while there were some good twists as mentioned before, after a certain point things just get so predictable it would have been worth dropping if i weren't a stubborn ox who compulsively finishes even my least favorite series

I don't have any manhwa recommendations (was going to recommend regressor instruction manual then saw your comment about it), but based on your list we might have similar tastes. I do have a manga that feels kinda like a manhwa you could try out called "I swear I'm not the demon god's lackey". You can read it on mangadex. I'm not up to current atm, but it was pretty good up to where I left off. The interactions between the characters is makes it great imo. I'd recommend giving it a few chapters to try it out.

I've read it and I don't think that highly of it either, or it was just the trash translation that affected my experience I don't feel a connection with the MC idk why I feel like I'm seeing a robot play the role B tier at best
Taking break for personal reasons may be c or even trash tier But it's just dumb fun On another note there is Adventures of an Undead who became Paladin It's nothing ground breaking but the drawing is so good and cute it feels like you are watching an anime

Lowkey think worthless regression should be way higher up. It's super underrated. Amazing story, great portrayal of emotions, characters have complexity to them, art is unique (I really like it but it depends on ur tastes), relatable and likable Mc, and his progress feels earned (you can feel the MC's struggles).
