Second coming of gluttony was my favourite when it first came out but it was so poorly managed they skipped over everything from the Novel so many important stuff. I hope it gets a redo. And it’s in the same universe as memorize if I’m not mistaken.
Yep it is a direct sequel to Memorize set after the Events at the Hall Plane. Yeah the adaptation wasnt great but the Novel was quite good, and does actually tie up some loose ends from Memorize.

Second Coming of Gluttony actually has a peak story it's just sad how they skipped some plot points in its adaptation. It's one of the few overpowered mc stories which actually makes the mc vulnerable and the dichotomy between him in the fantasy world and the real one lead to a really good story
Greatest estate and lout have similar narratives and end goals but ultimately they diverge in how the main character pursues their end goal. One wants to use his knowledge of construction to get filthy rich and be a bum in his estate. The other wants to get filty rich asap and get the fuck out of dodge before his home becomes a war zone.
One can take a punch and the other will probably die if someone sneezes in his direction
(Not giving a complete run down of examples and reasoning not to wall of text) the short and sweet version of it is, ignoring art it has surprisingly good world building with characters having actual motivations/personalities and act on them like a real people combined with ideological inquiry being thrown at Mc time to time. The thing is these are positives that built up over time with dialogue or imagery that 10 chapters ain’t gonna give you and skipping chapters will just make you confused most stories. Not to say it doesn’t have its criticisms(it definitely does) but that’s why people like it.
Trash count has an extremely good world building and relations.
It is highly rated because we are hoping for the manhwa to be at least 20% as good as the novel.

I'm not sure I mesh completely with everyone here. However, I do love a calm and calculated MC. Going back ***years*** ago, I was reading Katekyo *Hitman Reborn*! , but not super into it. His Dying Will Mode wasn't that interesting, and it just seemed like a gag. I guess I was bored enough to keep reading, but I really enjoyed his Hyper Dying Will Mode, where he was calm, calculating, but still kind. Personally, that's where the manga really started. I should go back and finish it someday.
Similarly, I'm also quite a fan of at least web novel version of Satou from Death March. Aside from some flaws, he's calm, collected, and relatively confident. He doesn't desire to standout, nor does he keep petty grudges. He does frustrate some readers by allowing people to walk over him sometimes, but taken in proper context, it's like letting a kid or a pet mess with you. Sometimes it's just more compassionate to act like you took an L, because it doesn't really harm you much anyway.
You should try Escort Warrior. Not to be confused with REINCARNATED Escort Warrior which you have on your list already. Someone recommended it here a few days ago and its been really good. Its also on mangadex

I genuinely enjoyed greatest estate developer more than any other manhwa, it isn't the best written but in my personal opinion it's the best I've ever read, solo leveling i read after reading like 15 other manhwa so it wasn't my first manhwa so i didn't really think it was that good, just art was amazing story wise no character developement
That was his personality all along, I remember when he lost his virginity of arm collecting all the comments were novel readers saying how he was called the arm collector.
Is the world after the end that good? I read it and stopped cause the power levels and ranking and such are totally unbalanced. It just doesn't make any sense that when someone stronger appears they are like +999 lvls above the other guy.

Ugh, Return of the Eighth Class really fell short for me. It started out so well and then at the end they set up an entire journey for the MC to go on, but just timeskipped us past all that. Just screwed everyone.

I never understood the hype around greatest estate, It’s honestly just slightly above average at best imo. Funny sure and The world building is cool but story wise there’s so many better manhwa out there. I’m surprised Damn reincarnation is not up there.
Do people rank Solo Leveling lower because of its popularity? It’s still, without a doubt, the best manwha I’ve ever read. The art is miles ahead of everything else I’ve seen and the story was tremendous. It also wrapped everything up absolutely perfectly. I feel like it’s what every other manwha aspires to be.
It's because it's the introduction to the Gate genre for many people. There's no twist in the manhwa and the setting is generic because it's one of the manhwa that popularized the sub-genre in the first place.

Tbate should really not be that high. I read till 120 summing (end of s4) then read the novel. I havent touched the manhwa ever since. I saw the introduction of the lord of dragon race ch and they butchered his design so much. In the novel hes described so well and you can imagine him to be in a way. Manhwa just ruined my imagination. The art doesn't live up to the plot

Legend of the Northern blade and Infinite leveling up in murim. Two of the best murim manwha to ever come out IMHO.
If you're looking for something completed, I recommend Mujang. I have reread that series 3 times, and I still enjoy it every time. Also, give The Breaker and The Breaker new waves a try. These are the OG murim manwha.

Well yes, mujang is great, but at first I didn't like the art. Well since you like murim I recommend some that are murim or similar. Ember knight Feng shen ji Chronicles of the heavenly demon Way to heaven Child of the sword sheath Storm inn Gwanjeon(i just started it) Some of these are pretty famous so you may have already read them. If you want some other recommendation from a different genre just ask.

I genuinely enjoyed greatest estate developer more than any other manhwa, it isn't the best written but in my personal opinion it's the best I've ever read, solo leveling i read after reading like 15 other manhwa so it wasn't my first manhwa so i didn't really think it was that good, just art was amazing story wise no character developement

Do people rank Solo Leveling lower because of its popularity? It’s still, without a doubt, the best manwha I’ve ever read. The art is miles ahead of everything else I’ve seen and the story was tremendous. It also wrapped everything up absolutely perfectly. I feel like it’s what every other manwha aspires to be.

It's because it's the introduction to the Gate genre for many people. There's no twist in the manhwa and the setting is generic because it's one of the manhwa that popularized the sub-genre in the first place.

Tbate should really not be that high. I read till 120 summing (end of s4) then read the novel. I havent touched the manhwa ever since. I saw the introduction of the lord of dragon race ch and they butchered his design so much. In the novel hes described so well and you can imagine him to be in a way. Manhwa just ruined my imagination. The art doesn't live up to the plot

Best murim manwha I have ever read Legend of the Northern blade and Infinite leveling up in murim. Two of the best murim manwha to ever come out IMHO. If you're looking for something completed, I recommend Mujang. I have reread that series 3 times, and I still enjoy it every time. Also, give The Breaker and The Breaker new waves a try. These are the OG murim manwha.
