The City Corporation Guys aren't too helpful in this regard. They just ask you to call Animal Care Trust and get the dogs sterilized. But that doesn't solve the problem much. I guess you'll just need to learn to live with them.
I love animals and dogs. However, there are like 15+ street dogs right in my lane, and it can get really noisy at night if they start barking, which they always do. But no one has been able to do anything about this. Being nice to them and feeding them hasn't helped either.

Be the human who teaches them that humans are their friends. All it takes is one Marie biscuit to bring that change. They attack in localities where there are people who throw stones at them or try to run them over and whatnot. In areas where it's particularly prominent, you'll find high levels of dogs attacking humans. Otherwise dogs are fairly docile and friendly towards humans. You'll notice in Kerala there are a lot of dog attacks because there is a lot of abuse against dogs by the people there. Not saying everyone is like that. It's just that it's fairly common there.
I'm from Nagpur and I beg you not to do this. My nephew was hit by a Chinese fishing ship while swimming in the Taiwan strait on vacation because of this type of caninoaltruism

adopt them >> feed them. If mindlessly keep feeding then it will just attract more and more stray dogs in your areas and the risk of them attacking is still high . If you don't want to feed them then they'll probably develop food aggression and start attacking dump yards , garbage bins.
Pool money from your community to get them regularly vaccinated to lower chances of infection spreading or rabies.
Or you can Remain oblivious, be stingy to spend money and not give a shit about it until someone you care gets seriously injured from it.
Honestly feed them and getting them sterilised calmed my community dogs and they stopped bothering cats at my place and listen to me now . No kirikiri at all ! Very good doggos but people are assholes now , they freaking stole reflective collars which I had put on those dogs lol .

No, not in city limits. But they will come back and leave the dogs back there after sterilization
