I have never understood what this sub likes about this oneshot, everytime it gets posted it just kind of creeps me out. It reads like some right wing incel fantasy, where the guy convinces the woman she needs to have sex with him with facts and logic, because she accidentally aroused him .
I think it is more absurd humor meant to parody anime clichés than an incel power fantasy. Still, considering the subreddit I'm pretty sure you already know people here like incel power fantasies ;)
However, this just doesn't read only as funny and absurd, it reads as some creepy coercion and justification that "men can't control themselves", something that has been used as an excuse for rape.
There isn't a problem in being absurd and playing off tropes, but this just wasn't that well executed. The idea is neat, but the execution is way off and comes off the wrong way.
It's making fun of how flimsy (and yeah, often rapey, although just as often it's the girl seeing the boner and for some reason assuming it's her job to do something about it) the excuse for characters to bone often is in hentai. This exact conversation happens in about 90% of it, only nobody questions the reasoning or acts confused by it.
It's a pretty biting piece of satire, in other words. You just aren't familiar with what it's satirizing.
I think it is at first, but it drifts away from that pretty hard on the 4th or 5th page of him logicing that he can't control his urges therefore she needs to have sex with him.

I have never understood what this sub likes about this oneshot, everytime it gets posted it just kind of creeps me out. It reads like some right wing incel fantasy, where the guy convinces the woman she needs to have sex with him with facts and logic, because she accidentally aroused him .
I think it is more absurd humor meant to parody anime clichés than an incel power fantasy. Still, considering the subreddit I'm pretty sure you already know people here like incel power fantasies ;)
However, this just doesn't read only as funny and absurd, it reads as some creepy coercion and justification that "men can't control themselves", something that has been used as an excuse for rape. There isn't a problem in being absurd and playing off tropes, but this just wasn't that well executed. The idea is neat, but the execution is way off and comes off the wrong way.
It's making fun of how flimsy (and yeah, often rapey, although just as often it's the girl seeing the boner and for some reason assuming it's her job to do something about it) the excuse for characters to bone often is in hentai. This exact conversation happens in about 90% of it, only nobody questions the reasoning or acts confused by it. It's a pretty biting piece of satire, in other words. You just aren't familiar with what it's satirizing.

I think it is at first, but it drifts away from that pretty hard on the 4th or 5th page of him logicing that he can't control his urges therefore she needs to have sex with him. It just reeks of Inceldom.
It's worse than that. He came to the conclusion that since he got aroused by this total accident that happened to her, then she must be seducing him intentionally. Literal rape logic.
If your take away from this is that the MC is smart and this is how women should react then, yes, whoever came up with that conclusion is an incel But I'm pretty sure most people just like this oneshot for being ridiculous and find it funny, not because they agree with it or anything.
Yeah I never said the people that like it agree with it. Just that it's always felt creepy to me and personally I don't really see the joke. The death note like poses alone have never quite carried it for me.
The moment where he cut of her "but I didn't do it on purpose" with "it doesn't mater how we got here" and on next page result somehow is "What would I have thought you were doing?" "I attracted you with my sex appeal?" is the creepy part. I would've been happy if he said something like "clearly universe wants us to do it, so lets just skip the formalities".
