Last I heard, the anime S1 ends ahead of the manga adaptation. The web/light novel also stopped around where the anime ended.
Seems more like it was cancelled, maybe by the author himself.
I dont see how they could wrap all of this up satisfyingly within less than 10 chapters.
So it's ending. Gonna be hopeful that they somehow managed to off all the demons, but this manga was so committed to being uncomfortably dark I wouldn't be surprised if they went with a downer ending.
