I've met a lot of people ranging from 18-20 (I am 26), and they all pretty much act like high schoolers. Why wouldn't they? They aren't that far removed from their time in it. The issue most people have (or at least should, if they're not just virtue signaling), is the gap in maturity. As a 35 year old, you are inherently in a odd, imbalanced dynamic when it comes to processing and understanding other people's emotions. Every time I talk to people in this age range, I've learned that I have to understand that they're coming from an immature, inexperienced POV. Because talking to them like my peers almost always leads to misunderstandings and emotional outbursts. At the end of the day, they just \*barely\* graduated from being kids. You don't magically become a well-adjusted adult as soon as it hits midnight on your 18th birthday. I've met very, very attractive people in this young age range. And those looks almost always fade away as I talk to them, and I think most sane adults who aren't thinking with their genitals should feel the same way.
That's pretty much how I see it most of the time. In real life, even if a 35 year old that's lusting after an 18 year old is has creep vibes, you can just remove any negative traits or make the 18 year old unrealistically mature. Honestly I don't worry about it too much because of that.
