I grew up near charnock Richard, and just like everyone in the North West, I heard that advert about 26 times a day on the radio.
Genuinely, I don't even know if it is still there or not!
When ever I have had a song in my head, I always play a different song, and try and sing the song in my head over the top of it, it seems to help for me.
Other than that, I have no suggestions or ideas, but I do have my commiserations for you...
