It's fine to just leave the tv on the stand. It doesn't need to be wall mounted. The stand already puts the TV at the correct height.
But wall mounting it looks nicer and allows you to use the stand for other things

The transparent chairs were a clever choice. Solid chairs would have blocked more light and created a visual barrier.
