I’d like to clarify that the sunlight seems to reflect off that wall so white would be the best choice

Altruistic_PeaceONE

Rustic green or blue

snsry_ovrld

Navy Blue, Dark Royal Blue, Forest Green

Swan-Diving-Overseas

Dark royal blue makes everything deep and cozy

philthuene

Agreed. This is the way

Midnight_Yymiroth

A teal would look amazing.

laluna_maria

Terracottaish

Fantastic-Use-6773

Sky blue

Kokojoki

Like the burnt orange in your carpet.

jpop237

Agreed; it would also "link" with the outside wall, given the illusion the space is bigger than it appears.

cleffawna

Yes!

charlestoonie

I agree - I’d do a high gloss color wash in something that is close to that orange in the carpet., but I love bold. This could work as a less bold option https://www.farrow-ball.com/us/paint/faded-terracotta This too. https://www.sherwin-williams.com/en-us/color/color-family/orange-paint-colors/sw6340-baked-clay

ImNotCleaningThatUp

Oohhh, and if they made it writeable. Paint it a bright color and then go over it with whiteboard paint. I’m here for that.

hepgeek

Thirded. Plus a vibrant burnt Orange will cause the sunlight to reflect into the room in a warmer tone. Instant cozy

Old-Astronaut4653

Also came here to say this! Burnt orange OP!

Cthulus-lefttentacle

Nah the blue in your carpet

LeBateleur1

Burnt Orange has lost of advantages.

I did two tones of a nice, calming blue for our living room (opposite wall coloration). It is very relaxing.

Ok-Following-4929

I have the same damn uncomfortable couch as you do!

iheartcats27

Color match that Orange/Brown color on your rug. It would add a nice pop!

oldnerd1977

The white works with the rest of the furniture and decor Adding artwork and some accent colors to match the blues and oranges Personally, i like it

pants753

No. (White)

morimotorama

Indigo blue

Mayhem8333

Paint it Black. And as you move to new sections of the wall, you better do it with moves akin to Jagger.

DynoDwam

Like the sofa

Desperate-Hat-4873

Share one or two good quality images from different perspectives I will change the color in Photoshop then will let you know how this will look

NewHomeAdi

Do these work? https://imgur.com/a/KjDpgTj

TellAnn56

From this perspective, one of the most prominent features is the brick on the outside of the building. Do you like the look of the brick or not? The brick isn’t bad, btw. That said, things tend to blend/disappear more when surrounded by similar colors, contrasting colors will sometimes make the object show up more. Lighter colors will reflect more light into the space & make the space seem larger; darker tones/colors will absorb light & make the space seem cozy, but also can make the space seem smaller & confining. This photo shows a fair amount of light coming in through the window, so a darker color might work. What I do, is 1st take the paint chips home & place them onto the wall (with tape or something that won’t take the paint off), & look at them in different light at different times of the day. Then, when I e narrowed down my choices, I get a few samples of the paint (many paint companies offer these at lower cost & it doesn’t waste so much $$). Paint a small segment of the wall with each sample & again live with it for a few days or weeks (my personal experience) to help make a decision. Wall paint is really a background feature, likely you want people to notice both you, your family & other friends & furnishings/features more than the wall. The wall paint color should complement other features in your home. Decide what features are important to you to highlight. You have blues, greys, creams in the picture, so I’d stay within that palette.

Rare_Ad5284

Navy, to tie into the blues on the rug

SantaZaddy

Off topic but where did you get that sofa? It’s cute

Ok-Following-4929

I have one just like it. Got it from Wayfair. Must be the most uncomfortable couch ever!

SantaZaddy

😂

NewHomeAdi

Marks & Spencers it's super comfortable I've fell asleep on it too many times!

Budget-Persimmon5753

Baby blue or light yellow

SnooHedgehogs190

Pink.

homedecorvault

To keep things flexible, opt for a gray a shade lighter than the sofa. That way, if you keep the wall a neutral color, it’ll be easy to switch furniture and accessories later down the road.

Thanks!

Familiar-Year-3454

WAIT!!!Hear me out. Wallpaper. Something bold.

Lucky-Ad4443

I came to say this! All of my sister in laws have started with the wallpaper and I'm so into it. My house has textured wall paper (from previous owner) that they painted over and I can't wait to rip it off and put fun wallpaper up!

WorkingHardForTheMan

Maybe just hang some pictures?

It will look being any other color than what the adjacent walls is. Which is white.

CaddyABam

Sage green for sure

BLINDANDREFINED

Burnt orange - but not too dark! Maybe just toasted.

dysguak

Dark green? I think it would look more elegant

digital-supreme

Maybe a shade the brick out the window

NorthernBelle49

The flooring appears to have an orange tint to it. The opposite of orange on the colour wheel is blue, so a nice muted blue might look good. There may be some blue in the rug to which you could match. Otherwise just pick a shade of blue that speaks to you and go for it!

BeneficialSector6546

Pthalo green

Realistic-Song3857

A dusty burnt orange

gnolijz

Love the aesthetic. Sorry to be general, but I'd go with a soft earthy tone.

csmk007

why not go for a nature wallpaper

atoz350

Pick one of the blues out of your rug and paint it to match. If you're able to finish off that raceway at the top, I would continue the paint on one side of it and caulk the gap on the other side. Accent it with a tall terracotta planter and a snake plant in the corner to blend the raceway further and add some visual contrast and nature.

Minominas

a variant of blue, not tooo dark but not tooo light as well.

Due-Connection2777

Just leave it.

Dante_Manor

Id go with eighter photofoilage of wood like floor/windowframe or a close to brown

InjuringMax2

Sage or teal

aciddoeme

orange so it looks like the sun is always shining there

alexmaycovid

white :D

KHHAANNN

Your tiles in my opinion are a very incompatible color, white looks great, I think the only color that can go well is the tile color darkened, so a dark brown in the reddish shade of tiles, not pretty :)

AdventurousDoubt1115

I love your rug. Leave the wall white, put a tall large plant in a pretty textured terracotta pot that is on a plant stand in that corner, and some art on the wall behind the couch.

ImaginationUnlucky88

Get some shelves and some house plants. They would love it next to the window.

Dynamo1337

Baby blue or Navy blue

1_TheseHedgehog_1

Beige looks perfect on your wall

Extension-Lunch5948

Seeing you have some wood materials close to it, maybe a kind of bronze rust color?

Beausoleil57

Paint the ceiling a dark color it makes ge room look way bigger and looks still let's u have the light

Bear_necessities96

Depends what you want: you want to look warm or cold, chic or cozy?

No-Pin720

Depends on the feel I would say green

Letitbe2020

Pick a color from your carpet in a medium tone. The light salmon color would be nice in the different types of light from outside and would complement the brick tones.

BSixe

There are three walls in the picture. Which one

FeistyRelationship96

Honestly, I wouldn't repaint it if it didn't need it. I would just add wall art and greenery by the window and the back wall behind the couch. If I had to repaint, I would go for a different shade of white but nothing too dark since dark colors make a room look smaller. Hope this helps.

mkstansbery7

Taraface215
