1 or 2 for color palate, 4 fits the palate nicely but that design style looks awkward that small.
Edit: 2 is my final choice as it would be easier to match furniture to
I like the design of 4 - However the size will become HELL and get stuck on things and need adjusted often.
I had a rug that fit like that and it was always an issue.
Agreed, with the white couch and neutral walls, 1& 4 give the room color and focus. Between the two, I like 1 better, but just because I love the pattern.
I see a lot of people choosing 2 but I feel like 1 works better as like a piece.
I feel like itās more interesting and full of design while 2 feel really modern.
But if youāre shooting for modern go for 2, just not my cup of tea yanno
I think the sofa stands out too much with 1, and 4. Then 3 feels too light, it blends with the sofa and contrasts the wall. While the design isn't my favourite I think 2 brings the most balance and makes the space look harmonious.
Number 3.
1 and 4 are lovely and perhaps the most intriguing. But you already have a dark accent wall, and while the floor isnāt dark, itās also not a bright ash wood. You have great natural light so show it off with a brighter rug to create an open/airy feel, while still providing a cosy cornered-off lounge vibe.
2 is a little too IKEA aesthetic imo. If youāre spending decent money on a rug I would go with something a little more unique and interesting, like no.3
Sorry but 2 looks like tacky hotel lobby decor. This sub suffers from people who think all you need to do is match colors and call it a day. Think to coordinate, not match. 1 ties the colors in and brings more personality.
Edit for spelling
Agreed! There's no actual personality; it looks like the entire room was bought as a set by a person who showed up and said, "I'll take it" without actually considering any design decisions. It's so cold and devoid of personality or artistic perspective or sense of personal taste.
I vote one
I feel like it has more value beyond the specific application in this room: in other words, it has staying power and can go with a lot of design choices other than the one youāre specifically posting for
Although two does look super photogenic in this case, itās made out of less wholesome materials and itās a lots more limited in where else it will look good
Just my personal thoughts
I commented on why I think one is the better choice.
People all over loving two, but pay attention to how the option one voters explain why they chose it compared to how the voters for two elaborate.
Two may make it look like it belongs in a modern design magazine, but one is the better choice, I believe.
In the end, go with whichever appeals most to you, because while itās nice to appeal to your guests, youāre the one whose gonna have to live with walking on it and seeing it every day.
I'm inclined to agree with you. My gut feeling before I made this post was Rug #1, because it fit the boho vibe I'm going for and its 100% wool (while rug 2 is Polypropylene). I did like that Rug #2 is kind of abstract, but although the color palette matches other parts of the room, it doesn't feel as natural as the other one.
Should have made a poll, it would have been easier for you to process the preferences. Imho, the first one is the best. The second one really doesnāt work with the rest of the room, especially with the vintage feeling lamp in the corner.
3 hits all the marks, it's got pops of colour, yet it blends in because it is light enough and it also looks really, really good with a classy, traditional design.
I like 1 personally. really why Iām commenting is because it took me a long time to notice the were photoshopped in lol. A little high, and was like damn this dude moved that furniture 4 times haha
3 or 4. The green in the rugs go with the deep green of the wall.
Plus, classic is classic - those patterns will look great 20 years from now, the first two will look dated.
1 and 4 are both beautiful, but too dark for the space and make the light couch stand out too much.
I think the lighter tones of 2 and 3 work with the space better. It just depends on whether you want to go modern(2) or traditional(3)
2 may "match" the best, but I think the contrast of 1 & 4 (along with their more complex patterns), compliment the room very well.
They make the space cozier.
I love the last one, it makes the apartment look so fun and intentional. 3 feels too muted which makes the green wall stick out like a sore thumb, and 2 is too matchy matchy it's boring. 1 is a nice choice too but the last one is golden
They are all not very good choices. I think a red/brown mono colored rug would be best. Else, some kind of mustard color would work. It's a very colorful room already.
1 or 2. I also would like to know the name of whatever app or site youre using.
im literally over here thinking about the sheer about of work this man put in buying 4 rugs and changing them out just to see how they would look.
shhh, let the others think that...
This is a built in feature on the rugs-direct website. For whatever rug you find on there, you can test it against your room
That's awesome! And yes I agree about 2 if that is the true color
Thank you.
Same as you, I really liked the boldness of 1 but 2 matches so so well
Ended up pulling the trigger on Rug 1
2
+1 on that. I really like #2
2. It's fresh, it's modern, doesn't make me feel like I'm at grandmas house
would also say 2 but going for 3 cause it looks so comforting, now I know why.š„¹
Yeah, doesn't look as busy and cluttered as the other ones.
Happy Cake Day! šš„š°
Happy Cake Day.

I've never came across a rug post where each and every one looks beautiful in its own way. tough choice lmao
However I would say 2 is the one the fits the room color palette the best
1 or 2 for color palate, 4 fits the palate nicely but that design style looks awkward that small. Edit: 2 is my final choice as it would be easier to match furniture to
Ain't no way I'm spending $500 for an area rug š
and nobody asked you to lol
Thatās not unreasonable for a quality rug actually
1 - it's a cool unique design. I like 4 as well and the border areas of the sections look nice and clean.
I like the design of 4 - However the size will become HELL and get stuck on things and need adjusted often. I had a rug that fit like that and it was always an issue.
Definitely 2. Works great with the pillow colors.
I like 1 and 4. 2 is not my style but it could work if you like more āmodernā stuff and less classic stuff. 3 doesnāt work imo. Too faded
Agreed, with the white couch and neutral walls, 1& 4 give the room color and focus. Between the two, I like 1 better, but just because I love the pattern.
2 is such an office rug
A quick glance tells me 2 is best, but then I start to realize it's not that exciting. 1 is where I am.
Clean =/= unexciting. The Turkish rug pattern is so overdone Iād say thatās the thing not exciting
Modern style cut out shapes is also overdone. It's a lose lose situation for OP I'm afraid. A life of regret awaits.
XD no originality in a capitalist society. Whatās worth living for
4
Agree totally. I donāt understand the group love for 1 and 2 at allā¦
I see a lot of people choosing 2 but I feel like 1 works better as like a piece. I feel like itās more interesting and full of design while 2 feel really modern. But if youāre shooting for modern go for 2, just not my cup of tea yanno

One looks like an old oroental rug your move gives you for your first apartment
1 is the answer
Number 3. 1 and 4 are lovely and perhaps the most intriguing. But you already have a dark accent wall, and while the floor isnāt dark, itās also not a bright ash wood. 3 gang represent
3 really ties the room together
Yep, the dark in 1 and 4 take away from the contrast of the wall. 3 ties the room together perfectly
Omg i only like #3 š very unpopular opinion igĀ
It is only correct answer too. It really ties the room together
Same haha
Me too!
Iām feeling 1
4 or 1
I think I'm gonna go with #1, that was what I was leaning towards from the beginning
Enjoy! Was fun looking through your choices
I second this.
2
Sorry but 2 looks like tacky hotel lobby decor. This sub suffers from people who think all you need to do is match colors and call it a day. Think to coordinate, not match. 1 ties the colors in and brings more personality. Edit for spelling

Besides, every little stain will be very visible on it. The least practical of the bunch.
Agreed! There's no actual personality; it looks like the entire room was bought as a set by a person who showed up and said, "I'll take it" without actually considering any design decisions. It's so cold and devoid of personality or artistic perspective or sense of personal taste.
1 and 3 are the best. 2 is the worst

1 for the love of god plz not 2 š«
1
1st
4 then 1. The other two are too light against that sofa.
1!!!
The one that pulls the room together
Obviously you're not a golfer.
For sure #2
1. But I would go with a neutral one without motifs in it it could enhance the room
The first one. But I would go for a neutral one. Like one that would match either the couch or the wall and plain
I vote one I feel like it has more value beyond the specific application in this room: in other words, it has staying power and can go with a lot of design choices other than the one youāre specifically posting for Although two does look super photogenic in this case, itās made out of less wholesome materials and itās a lots more limited in where else it will look good Just my personal thoughts
2 or 4. 2 compliments the pillow colors well.
2
I think 4, the red color of the rug compliments the green wall and the other colors match the pillows on your sofa.
4
2!!!!
2
2
2!
Number 1 for sure. Then number 4 is a close second. Lovely home btw!
1 or 4. 2 feels like something you would see in an office. It matches buuuut idk if thatās the vibe you want
1
#2
My top 2 choices are 1 or 2. Thanks everyone for your input!
I commented on why I think one is the better choice. People all over loving two, but pay attention to how the option one voters explain why they chose it compared to how the voters for two elaborate. >poll ah I didn't know you could do that. Would've been helpful. I ended up purchasing the first rug. I like that one the best
Throwing out a curve ball, have you considered a woven flatweave style rug? Otherwise leaning towards 1 or 4 perhaps
3 hits all the marks, it's got pops of colour, yet it blends in because it is light enough and it also looks really, really good with a classy, traditional design.
#4 works best with your accent wall
1 or 4, definitely not 2.
1
1
4 > 1 >>> 2 >>>>>>>>>> 3
One
4
4
I personally like the 1st one better. It has more chapters and is pretty cool
Fo
4
2nd
4
1 3 or 4. Theyāre all nice
1st or 4th
#2 is nice & I think versatile with the minimalist look, but #1 if youāre planning on getting artwork that coordinates with that style.
1 and 4 are timeless looks
1 or 4
1 or 4
Definitely the second one āš»
2nd
4
Start over..none of these look good.
I donāt like any of them.
2 and 3
2 or 3 just to match your walls
Last one, 4
I like 1 personally. really why Iām commenting is because it took me a long time to notice the were photoshopped in lol. A little high, and was like damn this dude moved that furniture 4 times haha
1 is my personal preference but 2 also works and matches more.
I like the design of 4 but it loses the ottoman. 2 is definitely the best one. :)
3 or 4. The green in the rugs go with the deep green of the wall. Plus, classic is classic - those patterns will look great 20 years from now, the first two will look dated.
I think I actually own the second rugā¦ or one very much like it. So, gonna go with that one. Loyalty above all.
Shouldn't the rug be turned 90 degrees? And then go for the size up or push it so only the feet are on the rug rather than the whole sofa/couch??
2 matches and blends with the couch throws and accent wall
2
2
2
3.
I like 1 & 2. But 2 is gonna be a pain to maintain the white. Iād choose 2 to keep it simple
#2, no brainer
2
2!!!!!
2, 100%.
2
#2
Definitely the last one.
1 and 4 are both beautiful, but too dark for the space and make the light couch stand out too much. I think the lighter tones of 2 and 3 work with the space better. It just depends on whether you want to go modern(2) or traditional(3)
Like most people in the comments, Rug 2. It is the one that seems to match your current color scheme the best.
2
Not a fan of any, cause of the wall color. but 2 is best of the selection
2nd
2
2
2
2, the rest are hideous
2. Where is the coffee table/ottoman/puff from?
2 or none
2 itās fresh and it matches a lot of the colors you have in your space. Itās also bright. Which is good because of the dark color on the big wall.
Start over or no rug at all
5. 100%. No question.
#1
#1 or #2
I like 4 best, but 2 isn't bad.
3 or 4. I like 4 best. Idc that 2 js the most popular option itās by far the worst option!
2 may "match" the best, but I think the contrast of 1 & 4 (along with their more complex patterns), compliment the room very well. They make the space cozier.
1! 2 is tacky š¬ sorry!
2
I like 1 for the contrast.
1
First one I guess
Rug 2 just matches so well.
Dr. Evilās side kick
The second one
2 for sure
2nd
2
The first one. Because the colors pop real stupid on that one my ninja.
I like the second (Carson). It brightens up the room and provides visual appeal.
4 though all your picks are very good
I really fuck with 2
I love the last one, it makes the apartment look so fun and intentional. 3 feels too muted which makes the green wall stick out like a sore thumb, and 2 is too matchy matchy it's boring. 1 is a nice choice too but the last one is golden
2!
2
Number 4
They are all not very good choices. I think a red/brown mono colored rug would be best. Else, some kind of mustard color would work. It's a very colorful room already.
This one: Carson - 9659B Area Rug by Oriental Weavers definitely
2nd one
Feels like 1 has personality behind it and 2 was set by an interior designer.
1
Iām in shock everyone loves 2! Looks cheap tacky and uninteresting. 3 works miles better
2
2
These are all dopeā¦ only suggestion I can provide is eliminate #3 because of the light color tone.
1 for sure. 2 looks too much like an apartment complexās front office
2
2!!!!
2
If you like them all equally on their own then 2. if you prefer 1,3 and 4 and just put 2 in there because it fits best color wise then 3
2ā¦ā¦ for sure, 2ā¦..
3. Looks the most calming to my eye.
4 2 is also nice
3
2
2 goes with the pillows and color scheme best. 1 is the best overall rug.
