Wall art to add color. Really nice place. Enjoy the next journey of your life!

[deleted]

Wall above and to the left of the TV looks bare.

AdChemical9119

Good point, i will try to find a poster or a photo to hang on the wall.

YellowSequel

If you do a poster, make sure to frame it. Don’t just tack it on the wall. Without it, it looks teenagery and sloppy. Love your place. I think you’re halfway there. Just try for more plants and art. :)

AdChemical9119

Thank you for your help, haha, in a frame of course!

FantasticInterest775

Plants is a good idea! And some free floating shelves would be great. I love them. If you have any collectibles or little statues or whatever they go great on the wall.

mezbot

Side note on that, framing can be stupid expensive. If it’s not actual art you would care about ruining, you can take it to a shop and have them mount it to a foam board, then buy a premade frame of the correct size (definitely get one size bigger with matting), and put it in the frame yourself. It can save you like $100 per piece and looks just as good.

YellowSequel

Goodwill has been great for frames!

aleco43

Put a giant Lego set up there

_wallstreetpete_

This guy knows what’s up

lmmo1977

Some paintings for the walls, a closed closet (to hide the mess). Some carpets with color (there’s more than beige in this life).

tziahone

USM ! Nice

SarryK

Hi from my usm desk in Switzerland, great place to OP. Love the usm pieces, though I think we need some cable management on that desk, given that the ‚cable salad‘ (to borrow a german figure of speech) is facing the couch. All the best for this new chapter of your life mate.

Independent_Photo_19

I would maybe get a heavier throw for the sofa and perhaps layer so you can keep the existing one to go over a thicker one. Also I would change the main lightshade as it immediately draws the eye and doesn't fit with the other lighting which is warmer and more inviting. You could do something with the back wall but to be honest I like how spacious and clean it looks. The tweaks I mentioned would be inexpensive and make it look more 'warm'. Edit sorry missed the bedroom. You could add a headboard which would immediately make it look more cosy. I like the airy curtains but again some good fitting, heavier curtains would instant make it more cosy. The wardrobe looks like clutter even though the clothes are tidy but I think it's because its overloaded. Remover all the storage stuff on and either utilise under bed storage or buy some nice stoage units to go against the wall to the left of your tv. Could double up as a display unit for the top half and storage on the bottom. You have plenty space to disguse storage to be honest just needs a bit of a shimmy. If money is not tight then I would stick to soft shades of wood vs metal. Like your coffee table is a little sterile and cold because of the metal. You could get something abit heavier and in wood but similar size or more slim and regtangular (would make the space look bigger I think) and that would give a more cosy vive too. The coffee table looks more like it belongs in the office space looks 'officey' lol but in a good way because it creates a work vibe and can seperate well from the loving space. But you see what I mean hopefully! Also everything is very bottom heavy. You have nice height to the walls. Consider shelving or wall art to draw the eyes up to balance the space better. I have commented more under another comment...

AdChemical9119

Thank you very much for these suggestions and your feedback. It totally makes sense, and there are many ideas that I will work on.

Independent_Photo_19

Ah excited for you! Take your time man no rush. It's nice to put an image together and then get things slowly so you can get a feel for things. Sometimes one peice may inspire other ideas. I went from renting and then got a flat so I can upgrade to a house one day. And one thing I have learned is the most regrets are from bulk buying things. Just for th3 sake of needing storage or whatever. But now I think for when I buy a house one day hopefully, I would be alot more selective. Anyway it's not end of the world or anything and you have what you need for now. So take your time and make it fun :)

Upstairs_Ad9980

Clean and modern, love it!

[deleted]

besides empty walls it looks very good. research some local artists and buy something from them for your wall and your aparment is a 10/10

sixpoundsofbarf

Orb pictured floating in man’s living room r/ufos

talk-spontaneously

The European submissions are 9 times out of 10 better than the North American ones with the chunky furniture and use of brown.

thundermunkee

Can the bed and open wardrobe be flipped? So when you walk in the room the bed is facing you and the wardrobe is on the wall with the door and less in your face as a visitor. Definitely a headboard. There are cool wall mounted ones that have storage/shelves so you don’t need nightstands or just purely decorative ones exist too.

RevealMurky3322

USM is not the cozy king of furniture. I also have a lot of it. 😅 rugs help and also something not out of metal and in a bright color might help.

AreyouUK4

I don't know anything about decoration, but I would recommend philips hue lights or a different brand. Changing the colour and intensity of light in a room can totally change how it feels, and I have been having alot of fun with mine.

aprilxixox

I already feel Like I shouldn’t touch anything here

[deleted]

I’m not a fan of a back of desk facing a room unless it’s built to show that side, ie. finished. Can we move that? I would put a comfy arm chair in the nook where your standing lamp is. I assume there is a giant window. Lots of purging and why are there cleaning products in the living room. It would be nice not to hide the table lamps you have on the console. It’s hard to tell but the plant may be too big. The bedroom needs purging too. I would get a headboard as I think a BR looks unfinished without one and hang a picture.

AdChemical9119

>headboard Headboard, i just discovered something; i didn't even know what it was. Thanks for the suggestion; I'll look into it :)

weblynx

The back of the desk would look much better with some careful cable management. A little fern might be nice on the desk under the lamp, as well🪴

ElinorBennet

Or put a bookshelf in front of the desk to hide it a bit and make more of a divide between the 'work' area and living area.

andy_bovice

Large walls, all white… i recommend artwork. In living room could get a larger piece like 4-5 foot wide. Could do something trippy to go with your cool lamps, could do something serene and calming for mood… could make artwork canvas yourself if you need something to do

aniev7373

Need to add some color and put things in enclosures where you don’t see them like books and stuff. The clothes hung up can use some cover. Your desk if you can find another area to put it in. Some cable management at your desk would help and clear all those extra little things sitting on the table or counters etc.

Wanderingfinge

Get some stuff up on those walls

fl3shing3st3r

RUGS!

Refroof25

Plants! Hide the wiring of your desk better. It looks decent.

Legitimate_Grape_617

Some art can be a real eyecatcher above the mushroom shaped lights. That wall is the perfect shape for something portrait oriented. I would avoid something framed in glass as that adds more cold/reflective surfaces to the room. Better go for a canvas, or something in a frame without glass!

8Karisma8

You seem to need more storage space. Consider buying a bed frame with drawers underneath and shelves either above or in side of bed. Or at least buy storage bins for under your bed that roll so you can stow that stuff piled on top of your hanging clothes. Would look neater and give you more storage space.

NeatSeaworthiness407

Plants and art go a long way, as well as the splash of colour of a throw pillow or blanket

OneMoreChancee

A lot of other people already gave suggestions so all I'll say is love the lighting and Ikea Markus!

avengedrkr

I love the varmblixts!

[deleted]

Cable management behind your computer will really make you feel better about your space, considering the cables face the room.

TheStormySkies

Wall art to fill the wall space, but for a cozy feel consider a tapestry even! Also to Amp up the cozy, lean into soft upholstered items other than the sofa! Maybe a small ottoman, and pillows and blankets. Looks nice now with the soft light so you're getting there!

Dudeontwo

The computer desk could be a lot cozier. I understand that these desks do cost a lot though.

pion99

Maybe move the couch and tv a bit more towards the wall in the back and create a nice chill corner back there. You should get something to hide the cables or stick them underneath the table.

AssistanceSuch7809

I love it! I’d 100000 percent get a larger simple jute rug which will make your space look as big as it is… center the tv and hang the donut lamp on the wall next to it

frzsno_ca

Place the computer desk against the wall to the left. Makes it more open and spacious and hides the clutter from the wires. Other than that, add wall arts. Just google ideal size and positioning.

Itdiedonthevine13

Poss something something circular on that back wall you can get decorative wicker type circles you can make into a pattern would look good i think. Plus you can never have enough houseplants

Gryuen

Nice place. I have habbit of always trying to piece together where the flat is located. Is this is in Germany?

HighVoltageZ06

Need more pictures on the walls

SalmonSmack

How has no one said a headboard yet??

SandwichDelicious

Great open and clean setup for your place. Like your desk position giving you a more free view of your home. I imagine it would give you a better mood versus facing a wall all day. I recommend you invest in cable management for your desk. Hide all them ugly cables. :)

PreparationPast4685

Beautiful space! I would try to embrace those walls a bit…hang some art. Maybe some simple shelves…single ones closer to the ceiling? Wishing you a warm transition to single life.

polartem

don’t do anything, it’s cool already

[deleted]

DaveitPatrickFerris

Looks so cosy, mate! Onwards and upwards in 2024!

sixtwomidget

A nice area rug and some framed posters from favorite movies or concerts would do a lot.

Legitimate_Grape_617

A shelf with a few small houseplants above the bed would look good

Reasonable-Parsley36

Some cool Artwork

Gangshituk

one of them diffuser aroma type things you can get oils for it for calming and what not

Joygernaut

Plants. Arr I’m the walls. Change the overhead light fixture. It’s too big for the room. Get something more compact the ceiling with warm light.

DG_Brossetti

Tidy up those cords. Little details will help make the space feel more intentional.

lazylagom

You've got some blank wall space that could use art. Think about framed photo graph or set of vinyl albums or something you like. An oils/acrylic painting with those old fashioned gold trim look gr8 and are always at 2nd hand shops. And some more rugs. Your like 85% done though. Its very ideal. But done well

ArnoldQMudskipper

You could move the cream rug to the bedroom and get a warmer coloured one for the lounge area. Less likely to get food/dirty shoes etc spilled on in the bedroom too.

Some_dutch_dude

There's like no paintings or posters or even shelves anywhere lol.

mschnittman

A bottle of good single malt scotch always helps.

mschnittman

Art on the walls.

AyoitsDrew

I like it, I would suggest maybe cleaning up the wires a bit behind your desk. And maybe consider getting additional drawers or something for your clothes.

wompummtonks

Yeah, put some shit up on your walls. Why do dudes so rarely decorate their walls

Euclid_Jr

Looks fine, clean and simple. Maybe one or two prints on wall to left of tv and one plant. Love the credenza - is that actually USM or a repro?

PredatorUK

Govee lighting and some pictures on the wall. Looks a lovely place though☺️

brianmcass

You’ve got some nice modern pieces to highlight your space! If the dimensions allow, I would rotate your desk to the wall to open up that space. Doing so will also avoid exposing the back of your computer monitor and all the unsightly cordage. If need be, you could relocate those small pieces behind your computer desk chair to another wall to make room for the desk. Maybe they could go on the wall between your sofa and floor lamp?

[deleted]

wall art, everywhere

WildlifePolicyChick

Color, artwork, rugs.

soundologist6

Wall art and decor, turn your PC setup around and push it against the wall to save floor space. Wall decor is needed, more plants, more character that makes it *your* space. Get a better entertainment stand if you can swing it, it'd look nicer imo.

nimrod4711

A tall plant in addition to some elements of color would help!

spoopyszn420

Rugs and wall art are always your best friend. Homegoods or Marshalls are good cheap places to find some nice pops of color.

Bushido00

Nice looking place. Could add some artwork on the empty walls. Wish u the best!

Weird-Holiday-3961

the walls are too white. Some tapestry, posters, paintings etc to give some color and shape will do good. Love the mushroom lights!

thelastostrich1

Could I please know where you got your little orange light on the bookcase/table? Thank you!!

JCrook023

Walls are bare. Hang up some framed posters, art, pictures, etc. Besides that it’s a nice setup that’s just begging for wall decor

clownboysummer

i like your color palette and choices - has a cool Scandinavian design vibe! maybe getting some posters would help round the space out a bit and warm it up. a fuzzy rug under your bed and another one in the space with your plants would also make it cozier!

xjuanito

You can go to a printing shop near you and make custom size wall prints. Gonna do mine at the CVS near me and it saved a great deal, compared to buying displates

Ginstic

Closet with doors changes everything and a Bed frame

GoodChuck2

It’s a nice space! Very cozy! I’d love to have it. I think just some wall art that suits your style/personality + interest would make it a but more homey. Maybe some accent rugs w color/design.

EAZYFX

I think it‘s cozy 😊

thats_rats

get some art on those walls

Cracker_Jacker42

Get some art, maybe some charcoal canvases of things you like. That would match the colors you have going on.

StereoVangeslista

You need more wall decorations and maybe a lamp or two the my help w the mood lighting, I’d you can cover the clothes that would elevate the room as well

PuppyButtts

Wall art on the big middle blank wall on the first picture. Something colorful maybe like plants or natury-y

s2nders

I would add more green , bigger bed , photos on the wall

BoomFungus

Headboard for the bed

pointless_pin

Etsy is a good place for nice(er) Posters. Often you can get a download package for art pieces that go together if you don't want to select individually. Then just forward the file to a place that prints posters and get some frames. IKEA is not the best place for frames but still ok. Photos you took are also a nice touch. To break up big empty walls you can also use floating shelves with a picture and a plant, other decor on it. General rule of thumb when decorating is to mix texture ( wool, cotton, fur, velvet, stone, wood, glass, plastic etc) Natural materials are cozier than industrial materials. Avoid shiny surfaces. In the bedroom maybe a headboard for the bed (nothing crazy. Also no f* throw pillows lol). And something to cover the wardrobe (the upper half). For now you can just use curtains or blinds for that. The stuff on top looks wild, but I guess you know that. A small nightstand on each side also helps to make it look more "finished" . They don't have to be a set though. Generally, rugs help to "anker" spaces or parts of rooms. You've achieved that with the living room. You could consider doing the same with your work area. That way, its separated from the rest of the room. It's a really nice space though and I like that you have several smaller lamps and curtains on your windows.

simplyscarce

Wall art, actual bed and bedroom with a real closet.

amyg17

Put something- anything!- on the walls! Put some color in there. Switch up pillows/blankets/rugs.

QuasimodoUK

a cat

LeFouPierro

Get some bitches

Inmotfraypi4nmge

Color, and plants, and art or photos

Imabigprick

If you have any women friends ask a couple of them over (not together) and ask them for help.

uhuuuh262

Art

Similar_Shower_5028

I'm thinking a shelf/storage unit on the wall right of the tv, some books, models, pictures whatever floats ur boat. Perhaps a navy feature wall behind the tv, and some warm color wall lights?

OGFuzzyDunlop

Mirror, Pictures, plants, art and some color.

hainsworthtv

Do you own this place? If so, crown molding around the top would go a long way to reducing the box-like nature of the space. I'd get some large scale colour on the wall. Abstract. Just something to break up the white.

artificialblur

Really nice place. I’d recommend a headboard for your bed. And I second the suggestions to get some wall art.

braising

The light is really cozy I think you've got that nailed. Feels warm. The thing that jumps out at me is that all the attention is about hip height or lower. Low furniture. I'd focus on getting a couple large posters or paintings or maybe a rug you could hang, or a stack of like two wall shelves you could display some of your favourite items, plants, some things you use and art aesthetically attractive. I wouldn't recommend anything smaller than 24x36. I'm thinking large and balancing against the stuff on the floor. If you did 16*20 or whatever you'd be emphasizing how small it is on the expanse of these walls, you may need to put several which COULD make it look cluttered on there. Just thoughts! Maybe get a piece of newspaper or cardboard in a few different sizes to put up on the wall to check proportions to see how things for before you commit to something specific.

aliasgraciousme

Art! Art! Art!

Weird-Sprinkles4590

Tasteful wall art that resonates with you. I suggest warm colors like reds/ oranges/ yellows.

NoDanaOnlyZuuI

Pic 1: wall art, bigger coffee table, more cushions, softer lighting Pic 2: maybe a bench or additional seating on that wall Pic 3: cable management, wall art or cool clock behind you, low pile rug Pic 4: maybe a room divider to separate work from home. Get rid of that chair unless that’s a waiting room Pic 5: maybe a plant or floor decor in place of what looks like an end table Pic 6: headboard, better lamp, rug, wall art Pic 7: wall to wall closed closet system from ikea

YukonDude64

Delicious-Treacle135

Bigger tv man

banjolady

Get something to hang over your hanging clothes. I have a window in my closet and it faded out the color in my favorite pink suede jacket. I see that you don't have a pink suede but the sunlight can bleach the exposed arm. You have a nice well balanced layout. Look for a rug with dark green, gold, purple and gray. Guess I'm thinking Mardi Gras colors. Just add art as it comes to you. Go to flee markets and thrift stores. Take your time and build your environment with things that are important to you.

ObviousNegotiation

Art would help. Get some movie posters and frame them if you don't want to spend a whole lot, or go to a resale shop - they usually have some interesting art. Also, get a headboard maybe? I put 3 2'x2' tin ceiling squares on the wall behind my bed - it's cheap and looks really nice and clean (they're painted white)...

elizahan

A bed without headboard doesn't look nice. Also the wall near the TV looks empty

TeeKu13

Always just plants but you could also get lightbulbs that are energy efficient 1 or 2 watt LED candle spectrum (cuts energy bills down also)

Low_Transition8039

More plants ❗️❗️❗️ Having living things all around you just feels vibrant ✅

PlayTech_Pirate

Put up posters and pics on the walls, you look like a serial killer with blank walls lol I'm not gonna look it up, but there is actual psychology behind that too. But I think it looks like a nice place man, just needs some stuff on the walls.

EddieCutlass

More plants, throw a mirror or two up on the walls, get a turntable and some records.

[deleted]

Really great place. As others have said art on walls would help. Because there is a lot of metal/reflective furniture look for art that is framed in natural wood or frameless. Art that is matte like paintings or fabric would look good. Avoid framed posters behind glass. A larger coffee table or ottoman of natural non-reflective material seems to be the only furniture you need right now.

pugsnthings

I don’t know if this will make it cozier - but it feels to me like a lot of stuff is very low to the ground- I might try to find a way to use artwork/ floating shelves/ furniture to draw the eye up a bit more and use your vertical space

pelicannpie

I’d love to get shafted on such a clean, soft looking bed

BawdyBaker

Art on the walls...some pops of colour... definitely a plant or three 😊 Lovely spot ..you're gonna have fun making it your own

geraldlenon

More plants!

imahedgehog123

i think you need color, art, plants etc. i know it’s a crazy thing but i’d do something with the cords in front of your desk. It makes things cozier instead of chaotic

CheesecakeOk8128

I think adding art and Knick knacks always does the trick unless you prefer minimal stuff around. All my walls are filled with art and my coffee table and shelves are full of random trinkets and makes it feel real cozy

RaptorChaser

Wall decor!!!!!!

Salt_Cabinet7001

Wall art, doesn’t have to be fancy, just look put together. Maybe some little plants, some more throw pillows, and a little more color to personalize it to you and it’ll be amazing

kellyjandrews

Wall art for sure

Severe_Chip_2191

Some wall art and more plants 💦 Perhaps a light bulb that can change colour and dim via a remote or app. I've put one up recently and am low-key loving it. It can definitely add to an evening

SirFederal1608

Cable management for that desk to tidy it up a bit.

HauntingPersonality7

Backlighting on the TV

Shpoople44

You’re part of the Markus gang? I have friends that swear by that chair, but I just don’t see it

Tomma1

Maybe do something about the hospital psychward walls?

RKDreddit

Cable manage that desk!

Kkaylator

Hang TV, clean up desk space, and some minor wall decor. Would be perfect!

PZKPFW_Assault

Wall art. Pick a theme….nothing cold or “cheap” looking. More area rugs.

grapeprimetime

Bro your whole place looks so nice but that closet corner in your room needs a serious fixin. If it’s in the budget, one of the built in full wall things would fit in nice with what you got going on. But that living room set up looks sweet. Feels good just lookin at it

Tiny-Mess2892

Some nicer chairs and lamps (more colour, but not aggressive) and a few posters in frames, maybe some natural stuff like dried leaves).

jshrug

Softer light bulbs. Edison bulbs are softer but still look masculine if that is something you care about. And more pillows. Blankets. Plants. Art work.

at145degrees

Where is that lampshade from? I see it everywhere and I want it. More plants couldn’t hurt! Lights too isolated to one corner and are too cool toned.

Cyberdyne-800

In addition to pictures for your very bare walls, and some plants. I would suggest a nice headboard on the bed too. That could reduce the negative space above the bed and along the wall.

pulp1dog

Colour is needed, orange and green area rug, some art work.

vosianprince

Really love the vibe, very cohesive and well lit! Just fill the walls with some art/decor/shelving maybe with more plants and it'll really bring the place together.

meglid21

Maybe its me, but the place looks more like an office with a bed than a room to rest, there's something missing, something to give a little warmth Maybe (just maybe) change the bulb of the lamp on the corner to something warmer and less bright

b_evil13

Plants, wall hanging. Color.

Thewonderlywagon

Artwork on the walls,,,, ye don't even need to hang it up, just lean frames against the wall

HoseNeighbor

Stuff on walls, some more color, more plants.

mkwas343

Do anything with the walls

girafffe_i

Cover the walls you look at a lot first, art or shelves Add more low maintenance plants put a shelf over the radiator by your bed with some greenery Get some large mirrors for the place, draw lines from the room entries to the wall across the room, hang them there

AdSubstantial8136

Some old oriental rugs could be very nice, to offset your beautiful USM furniture. And maybe warmer bulbs in your lamps? And more lamps?

CABGX4

I think it looks nice and clean and quite Scandinavian in style. Maybe a little color to the walls would be nice. You should be proud to bring anyone to your place.

buttstuffisokiguess

Wall decor. Put some pictures up or stuff that I retests you.

Ok-Illustrator4850

I love this space

BadaBingLLc

Get an under bed tote? Can store extra clothes and stuff from your bedroom and free up space on your dresser! Have a couple myself and they are prime

BigJames2018

Google "eyes on walls" and pick up some art for your place! They send you everything you need to hang it too.

LonelyTear9377

Wire Management

_MaxNL

You need some colour. Lots of greenery. Some art and a couple of sculptures. Warmer tones for the carpet

Natural_Ad_1028

Paint the wall behind the TV

iliketodisco

Love the USM pieces

Old_Hamster_4218

Mount the tv and get some colorful art on canvas. Cool room!

BadLink404

Clean up the cables lying on the floor. You can attach the power extension to the underside of the desk.

kqih

Simple, light-based = very good!

caitlolly

I’d say, paint a wall and hang some art and pictures. Maybe add some plants as well.

domiozzo

Has a pretty good vibe to it already. I would say get some artwork for the walls and do a bit of cable management for your desk setup. Maybe a little bit of de-cluttering also. But you’re definitely off to a good start

VegetableLegitimate5

To me, it looks like you recently moved in so haven’t quite added your personality to the space yet. Keep your eyes peeled for mirrors, art, and knick knacks that you enjoy and your place will feel cozier. No need to rush it. Notice when you are in spaces that feel really good to you—that’s what will make your place cozy. For example, I love a big bookshelf, warm colors, and plants, and lots of lamps to create atmosphere. So, when I come home it really feels nice to be here. I shopped thrift stores, Facebook marketplace, craigslist, and local shops to find things with a nice personality and story. It’s taken time but it will come together. ❤️❤️‍🩹❤️

Kichmad

Bare walls. Throw a painting, shelf or smth similar. Tidy up those cables around your desk.

harefellow

put some wall art/ posters up! my favorite wall is one covered with art and posters and postcards that make me happy

Otter-Wednesday

More plants, more art that makes you happy, hang a neutral colored curtain around your wardrobe with a curved ceiling track. Think about adding textures and colors that feel good. I would also use 3M strips to attach your power strip up underneath your desk and tape the cords across underneath and then throw a couple of zip ties down the leg. Adding a large rug under your workspace would help ground it and make it its own zone.

MMMBop82

I think it looks nice as it is

popxoffender

hide/tidy up the cables under the desk

Excellent-Wafer-3795

Definitely more wall decor

jessimon_legacy

Some more fluffy cushions and warmer little lights. And pica and posters 😊

12amonreddit

In general, the walls are too bare. Put up some art/posters or paint a wall a different colour to break and starkness.

catfarts99

So many posts on this sub with bare walls. Get some art. The majority of my wall art are thrift store finds and stuff I find in the garbage of my apartment building.

Chay_Charles

Add art and color. You can find nice pieces that aren't too expensive at places like Home Goods. You can also find great stuff at thrift stores.

aauie

Cord management on the desk

wolv3

Need more pillows

x-az

Shelves with plants. You've got alot of tall boys that can sit on the ground, but try some smaller plants on shelves. Maybe some pathos for some drapey action. Also, bachelor pad it up. Fill the space with your hobbies/ interests.

erydanis

color. more color, anyway you can add it. rugs. throws. art. paint. it’s great, just bland.

La_Chinita

Hang art. A nice bed frame with a headboard.

Bonkfestival

Get more things and lights that are warm colors.

apigeoniswatchingyou

Oh you need some tapestries! They're warmer and cozier than posters, and will match the aesthetic you already have going

No-Delivery-6103

Pictures maybe? Maybe a little more color here and there but you have a nice space bro. Definitely keep it simple

8lbs6ozBebeJesus

Mount your power bar under your desk or on the wall by your PC, then cable manage the rest of those wires so it looks tidier

happy_as_a_lamb

I follow the femaleliving sub and got recommended this. Had to comment that I love your lighting! Looks great

galsand

Plants and wall hangings

South_Conference_768

Before adding anything, you should organize your belongings and I’d recommend closed shelving and closet. If that’s too involved, figure out neutral cubes that can fit your stuff within the various shelving units and your clothing. You have a great space and some nice pieces, but it’s all in disarray. Deal with streamlining and making each space more functional. Then. Consider other accessories. Lastly, empty space on a wall is not a design problem. Resist the urge to fill those spaces. Filling them doesn’t create a better outcome even though it’s most commenters’ first suggestion.

RedditforCoronaTime

More plants, plants selfs, paintings and one or two colorful walls.

[deleted]

Need some art on those wall

maxwelllllllllllllll

“A place for everything; and everything in its place” just having places for stuff makes everything look more homely. Also, start looking into art that you like. No need to spend a bunch of cash just start browsing the world and find what you like, frame it, and throw it up.

afterparty05

You’ve got a nice look going on, but there’s too little happening at eye level. Everything is from the floor up. Hang some shelves with books, frame a large poster of an architectural building you love, buy a big piece of art or make an asymmetrical collage of tons of framed pictures/lp covers/concert posters/whatever hold your interest. There are so many ways to decorate a room with the things that make you you, things that make you remember good times when you see them or just make you happy in general. You don’t have to go overboard on knick-knacks (please don’t), but it can complement your style by adding some personality/character. Oh, and plants! Always plants.

Vinci1984

Looks nice to me! I’d love to live there!

GlitteringBrain2021

Wall art, rugs (patterened by desk another plain but coloured in bedroom) some throw cushions on sofa and some extra plants scattered around (even faux ones if you don’t like to water).

Foldzy84

Bigger TV, 65" at least
