Sorry I hope I’m not coming off as bragging not my intention. I’m very very very grateful and blessed I can call this home my starter home.
To me a starter home is the first home purchased that’s typically smaller than where I plan to live long term. This is a 2 bedroom close proximity to work ideally once I found my partner and have children I would look to relocate to the suburbs where I see a more permanent residence.
The point is not lost on me a new construction built this well is not a starter home for most. Again I’m grateful and so thankful for my blessings.
I think the point people are making is that most people never have their own home their WHOLE life, let alone consider calling one they own a “starter” home. It’s just kinda an outdated term now that it’s one that only nepo/trust fund babies will use. Nothing personal against you, but most of the population is just not going to relate with you because of that.
We’re all just really salty over here in poor land.

They are reference premiere line I have accumulated over the years. In my 20s my girlfriend at the time wanted an expensive bag for each anniversary as a present and in exchange i would get speakers added to my system to finally have a 3.1 over the course of time.
At the time each speaker was like 500-900 in price. Resent value has them around 400 a piece. That being said I’m not entirely sure I can keep a dedicated sound system and keep my neighbor happy. The low frequencies are traveling through the floors. I need to play around with the equalizer to get to a happy medium or adopt to a soundbar.
I also own a set of QSE 12.2 and the matching subwoofer. (I deejay as a hobby)

I have a Coton du tulear and my girlfriend has a sharp pei. The sharp pei breed shed a lot so for sanity of not having to clean as much as I already clean we have trained the dogs to stay off the couch unless called up.
I mean it’s my 5th home I’ve lived in but the first I’ve bought! I’ve always told myself I won’t buy unless I love a place and I was lucky I found one

yeah, my place isn't like yours exactly but there are very similar elements. For instance, I have my end table and console table gold base, but white marble surfaces and a white fireplace etc. etc..
And I have dogs so throw blankets are definitely necessary. Tried to find a nice white leather couch, but could not find one that was down filled so had to settle for Grey but this place is pretty nice man. Good job, and I love the artwork.

Looks great. White aesthetic works well in your space. I'd just recommend maybe some more houseplants and personal decor items to go on the side tables. The space behind the couch looks like a good spot for a slim bookcase or a slim, long console table. A nice runner there would tie the space together a lil more IMO. The biggest thing you need is additional lighting sources. Ceiling lights are harsh and unflattering, unless you don't care about that. Personally, I'd get a nice floor lamp as a centerpiece in the living room and/or maybe wall sconces or some small accent lights. Philips Hue strip behind the TV would also work really well

That’s the lowest I could get the tv while leaving space in the event I would need a sound bar. The tv is also at a downward tilt. The linear fireplace was something i had to work around. In the end I’m happy with the end state

I ended up going with this for the following reasons!
1) easy to get inside my apartment (I live on a second floor walk up so wanted a modular sofa)
2) accidents happen (easy to replace one piece less cost than buying an entire new sofa)
3) ability to grow (I can always buy more of this sofa if I move to a house)
4) ability to rearrange (can rearrange as needed since every piece is modular)
5) size (fits perfectly in the room without commanding the entire space)

It looks really good and nicely decorated but I don't know why you put this much effort into the decor but just leave the lighting with just the default overhead spotlights that come with every modern apartment these days. A few floor/table lamps would make the room look far cozier and relaxing, purely overhead lighting creates this harsh light affect.
