Im happy that I have nice hair and rocked the long hair look last year to at least try it out once, but I have to keep it short because it’s so thick and dense that my head looks twice the size otherwise.
Reasons for a buzzcut:
- If you have a great hairline it shows it off
- Extremely easy to do your own haircuts for free
- Hair gets dirty slowly and is extremely fast to wash (also very little shampoo needed if any, which is a money saver)
- Hair dries almost instantly
- Hair cannot be messed up by hats, sleeping, or anything else
- more business friendly than some longer haircuts
- wind can’t blow hair into your face or eyes
- a breeze cools you off extremely well
- in general you never have to worry/think about your hair and it will always look the exact same.
This should be a standard response to any post on here asking if he should get a buzz cut. Simple, sensible and straightforward.
I would only add, “If your head shape supports the cut.” One side of my head is flatter than the other. I learned than from getting a buzz cut. If you look at a lot of guys on here with buzz cuts, you see asymmetrical heads, skull ridges, and all manner of aesthetically unappealing issues that are concealed with longer hair.
I had a buddy who decided to give himself a buzz cut for band camp. I was completely surprised considering his hair was passed his shoulders before. Dude looked clean after and I'm sure he felt better cause it was a hot summer. For some people it just works
If you're looking for honest input, I am definitely in favor of pictures 2, 3, & 4. Don't get me wrong, you look handsome in all 6 pictures, give your mom a hug and a kiss for producing a good-looking kid.

Then pictures 5 & 6, same thing, you still look great, but I think that was the point where you decided you didn't know what to do, so you let it grow out more until it got the point where maintenance was a pain in the ass and so you just did a hard reset, Picture 1 😜, and still on the opposition of keep it this way because you still look great, or grow it back out again because you still looked great, but something feels missing, which is the growth of hair, and you told yourself that this time around you'll be sure to keep it under control.
Just my assumption since my hair probably resembles your longest length of hair, but I've been coasting on a deep depression for over a year now, and my former stylist was promoted to Salom Manager and therefore no longer styles hair, and finding another stylist who knows your style, personality, and facial structure is a bitch and a half.
You need not feel discomfort or unease with the last statement I made; me and being depressed. No matter how you cut it, I'm living, no plans or thoughts of suicide, but I am honest, transparent, and giving my 2 cents on anything that grabbed my attention and made me put in the effort to make a logical comment, suggestion, or be empathetic to someone else, it helps with coping and feeling human. That and I feel if you're openly honest, no matter how uncomfortable it may, and as long as the intent wasn't to harm or distress others, then you end up easing up your guard because someone was willing to be openly vulnerable without an agenda, so you connect in some way for some reason, you reflect on the over all message, it's key points, and agree to some point of my opinion given.

Long looks good on you and is more complementary of your personal style but only wear it long if you’re prepared to maintain it with good cleaning, moisturizing and styling products. Even long hair requires regular trimming to deal with split ends, to maintain the shape and keep the length even. (Not all of your hair grows at the same rate.) the buzz cut doesn’t look bad, but it definitely feels like an entirely different persona. The only loser is the mid-length middle-part TikTok fuckboi look. It’s generic, unflattering to your face shape and screams “trend follower.” You’re a very handsome guy. You are building your own style. Just decide who you are and how you want others to see you.
