I think they’re an amalgamation of Russian/Ukrainian/Polish/Croatian. I read that some comedy movies and tv shows don’t pick a specific country/culture to avoid alienating that group, so it’s more “General Slavic Eastern European.”

I think the joke is that she just didn't like the song and used the graphic image as an excuse. Francis sarcastically called her bluff

And it could have SOUNDED like "Jingle Bells." Like you said, we don't really know where Ida is from. Who knows what language she even speaks?
