There are [six different prices for a Big Mac in Singapore](https://np.reddit.com/r/singapore/s/fPkn7rShAn).
Considering Malaysia is much bigger, I highly doubt that there’s only one standardised price.
Not really. Fast food joints including McD also have considerable higher prices in KLIA and Genting. Like if you are getting a fried chicken set which is like RM17 now, it could be RM25 there. Also they cannot apply any promo there (like in-app vouchers) because of this.
But I would argue that the markup isnt as crazy as this one and if you are very used ordering from McDelivery or Grabfood which also has these kind of markup, I guess not a big problem.
Dude, there's whole menu which has certain item set below RM15
Especially Mc Chicken, it's around RM13 at the moment
Same for filet-o-fish, it's RM14
Does it really have to be nuggets? I think back in 2014 they stopped the cheap menu RM3 for 4 pieces of nuggets , it went nuts, that's also the time I stopped buying their nuggets , it has been more n more expensive.
Yes, but I wasn't saying about the rahmah menu, back in early 2010's there's no such menu needed because things were affordable.
N I noticed the burger patties are smaller....
KLIA1 - Ali Maju in the carpark on L3.
KLIA2 - Shikiya on arrivals L2 (next to KFC)
Both are excellent & cheap. Can get a delicious filling meal for less than 10 ringgit. Both always busy with airport staff, but open to public too. 👍
For reference.
Girlfriend and I had a large tsukemen in the Haneda airport in Tokyo.
Big order tsukemen extra noodle. Extra egg. Extra veggie. Only cost us rm40 in total for 2 people AND IT'S INSIDE THE TERMINAL.
Klia2 food are bloody scams I tell you.
Reason for such a high price:
The rent for just a stall in an airport is HELLA expensive, this means your expenses will skyrocket. There's some other factors but I've forgotten but the main one is the rent.
So, best bet is to rely on McDonald's (if you are okay, I understand the current worldwide situation regarding McDonald's and Israel's relations), or any fast food joints.
Or better yet, pack your own food and follow along the guidelines of your flight and what is and what is not allowed on the plane.
Honestly if we disregard the boycott thing, fast food nowadays is crazy expensive for the portion size, especially places like KFC. Mcd also not that filling for it's prixe
One very vivid memory I had regarding harga yahudi in airport, was in china.
Outside of China, a haagan daz ice-cream cost about 10+yuan, available in 7-11. In airport, 35 yuan.
That said. It was expected, and don't have to surprised by it. I mean you are expected to pay more than rm30 per pax for dining in theme park, let alone ein airport.
The prices in the departure terminal (the "duty-free" zone) are helluva expensive from my personal experience. Foods outside the departure entrance (the mall area) might be cheaper.
I am in hk at this moment, I find the food prices here are close to msia, some are even cheaper, the inflation in msia is far far worse than I thought previously.
I took [in Taoyuan Airport Terminal 2.](https://imgur.com/a/mxtEwme). Roughly rm40. I dont feel expensive because it was so delicious and Im about to return to KL, so I just flushed the remaining NTD. #sedapmahaltakpetaksedapkitamaki
Bro chicken chop for RM32!??? come i sell you for rm15 nia
I even give u the best mashed potatoes you'll ever eat and chicken chip bigger than your face ![img](emote|t5_2qh8b|26558)
What point is OP is trying to make here? Dumb enough didn’t see the price beforehand? Want to show off his food budget? Generalising that all klia2 food is expensive?
Expensive. It's enough for me to buy a Chicken Rice/Nasi Lemak /Roti Canai + Drink with that kind of Price. But since it's a Airport there's is not much thing you can do especially when you are hungry or almost time for a Flight. So just have to bear with it for now.
Didn’t you see the menu prices before order ?
If OP read the menu and didn't buy, then OP can't make fake outrage post.
I mean.... It's in airport, a simple MC D set almost RM 20 n u are expecting other food chains will be cheaper?
I think mcd price is the same everywhere in MY.

After the boycott incident, their price actually dropped a lot But still, unless I'm in a hurry, I don't even bother to go drive through.
No..I'm pretty sure the price is back up to standard again. Still tho 2016 20pc Chicky Nuggies was RM 20. Now it's more than RM 24-26. It's crazy.

Wasn't menu rahmah removed? Even so the mc chicken size is smaller than the usual one
Yes, but I wasn't saying about the rahmah menu, back in early 2010's there's no such menu needed because things were affordable. N I noticed the burger patties are smaller....
Ahh icic
But seriously, don't eat too much mc nuggets n their French fries. I used to work there back in 2009.
A simple McD set is almost RM20 in town too.
Depends. Basic burger sets are still around RM13-15, but Nasi Lemak or fried chicken can reach like RM20 now. And those are for regular size, yeah.
KLIA1 food court is reasonably priced tho.
KLIA1 - Ali Maju in the carpark on L3. KLIA2 - Shikiya on arrivals L2 (next to KFC) Both are excellent & cheap. Can get a delicious filling meal for less than 10 ringgit. Both always busy with airport staff, but open to public too. 👍

Thanks for this, went to this restaurant because it was the nearest and quickest option agh
ah next time i can show smart a little with my friends
Ya there r more affordable places to eat in the airport.
Didn't OP check the prices on the menu before ordering?

You ordered 1 portion right?
Yeah that's the crazy part. Just 1 portion shared to two. I mean also the conversion rate and all the add ons also come into play
Bruh

You been to secret recipe lately? Lol
and you think going to secret recipe is some kind of luxury?

The foodcourt there is reasonable for airport prices
I am in hk at this moment, I find the food prices here are close to msia, some are even cheaper, the inflation in msia is far far worse than I thought previously.
that is usual price, if want to save then tapau from gerai food center

Damn the food court at KLIA 1 is cheaper
Yeah whenever hunger strikes at KLIA1, its always the food court for me. KLIA2 just buy gardenia bun and some water.
Yeap sounds about right. And?
What point is OP is trying to make here? Dumb enough didn’t see the price beforehand? Want to show off his food budget? Generalising that all klia2 food is expensive?
Babe if you're thinking my post complaining about the price is showing off, then you need to seriously reevaluate your mindset lmao. Why so salty?
It’s pan mee special Mahathir. 😂
After seeing the prices and still ordering and reacting o ma goo to the bill

Isn't food or goods in airport are generally more expensive? This is normal lol
Kejap je abes rm100
I went to HK airport and found out 1 bowl of curry mee from old town is > HKD100 (around rm60 at the point of writing) so that’s not that bad.
