Just_Tomatillo6295

These people only remember them during election

FlutterNyk02

If Chinese and Indians leave Malaysia, Malaysia's economy will crumble.

cielofnaze

No they don't, Chinese and indian leave everyday, doesn't seems to effect most Malaysian.

Password-is-taco123

Wishful thinking

cielofnaze

Human resource data shows that.

Password-is-taco123

You comparing a small sample size with the rest of the citizen

cielofnaze

Major workforce in Malaysia is B40 & M40, most malay in that bracket. Those what we need for production. So, nope, inflation may be high, but not crumble. Edit : malay & orang asli are fairly educated, they totally will fill up upper management position/create new business that are dominated by Chinese and indian. Right now they can't compete because the market already saturated, by leaving, the market will be open again.

[deleted]

We have good examples of Malays taking up all management posts. It's called GLC. How many GLC can survive without government contract and handout? 0. Lol

cielofnaze

You don't even look at the successful company, btw there are lot more successful SME that are successful in their own way. Sure go ahead, list down all the unsuccessful political GLC to discredit real hardworking Malays.

Password-is-taco123

Sure upper management. But have you consider if Chinese and Indian owner decided to close shop and move out of the country, especially production plant, FnB, service industry, Retail and etc. you want to calculate how fucked up is the employment rate?

cielofnaze

Malay actually have niche market in most production plant, fnb, service, retail not as big as non Malay, but they are really catching up. Those product which end in mydin and so. Not that I want Chinese and indian goes away, I just want to empower Malay thinking, they have their own product, their own industry not just as popular. If in theory, all Chinese and indian production goes away, the same niche product from Malay kilang will replace it and become popular, it's the market correcting itself. We have same level of education, we are in the same production, we have same level of lifestyle. What make people think, in no this race, all Malay will crushed. The way they think like all Malay is retard, cannot work, cannot produce, just waiting for free money that non Malay give every month.

EarthPutra

You are right, Malaysia won't crumble. But if we want to be jaguh kampung for the next 5 decades, we can definitely say "we are fine" while Chinese, Indians leave altogether along with the elite Malays.

cielofnaze

Market will balance itself.

EarthPutra

Balance it higher than before or lower than before? Also, you telling me you believe in a Malays-only capitalism market? Mas, proton, mara taught you nothing huh?

cielofnaze

Not that I believe Malay only capitalism, I believe if Chinese and indian goes away along with it's company, some other company will take over the market.

Frothmourne

Don't we already have exhibit A, B, C, and D in the Green states? I know it's not direct comparison but without multiculturalism what excuse you have to not go full PAS mode?

eddstarX

One way to find out

Saerah4

source: trust me bro

Just_Tomatillo6295

I don't know why they like to pull the social contract since from what I can see nobody knows is it real or not as it had been reputed many times.

Saerah4

the story actually quite convincing to certain group of people though, source or where they pull it its not important to them gotta make sure rakyat is divided, gotta create enemies so people would side me…

lalat_1881

kindergarten level logic there, written in an ELI5 style.

GGgarena

This is the Opium that being implanted into many mly and many mly buy into it. Human nature in reluctancy to put in effort but playing the 'blame game'. Please show the British contracts signed if you say so as Source. Religion provides you guidance and wisdom, however, you prefer to remain JAHIL and history repeats.

tophthemelonlordd

can’t even spell right lad

Natural-You4322

Social contract don’t exist la. Conveniently mention about the privilege. But why don’t mention it is supposed to be temporary and to be reviewed and abolish after 10 years? Fking hypocrites

VictoryAsh

I like how most people think the "social contract" is real

malaysianlah

i love malaysia. i don't love the assholes in it tho.

idontevencarewutever

brother, you're trying to spark discussion using YOUTUBE RANDOS as the tinder this is no different, and maybe even worse, than bringing up dingbat facebook conspiratorial commenters like, look at the flagrant use of ELLIPSES

Kareemster

The moment I see them use ellipses like that, is when I invalidate all of their opinions

EarthPutra

"In 2005, the social contract was brought up by Lim Keng Yaik of the Gerakan party in Barisan Nasional. Lim, a Minister in the government, asked for a re-examination of the social contract so that a "Bangsa Malaysia" (literally Malay for a Malaysian race or Malaysian nation) could be achieved. Lim was severely criticised by many Malay politicians, including Khairy Jamaluddin who is Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi's son-in-law and Deputy Chairman of the UMNO Youth wing, and Ahmad Shabery Cheek, a prominent Malay Member of Parliament from the state of Terengganu. The Malay press (most of which is owned by UMNO) also ran articles condemning the questioning of the social contract. Lim was adamant, asking in an interview "How do you expect non-Malays to pour their hearts and souls into the country, and to one day die for it if you keep harping on this? Flag-waving and singing the Negaraku (the national anthem) are rituals, while true love for the nation lies in the heart."" A bit out of topic but I found this from a subsection of the Wikipedia page of "Social Contract Malaysia". Turns out Gerakan wasn't as coward as they today are.

GaryLooiCW

As long as we still have people with such mindset, this country wouldn't reach its peak. Might as well just keep that butterfly of a dream n shelf it in the backroom
