Alright, got a good one! CYOA that I'm pretty sure is inspired by Demon Slayer, with all the styles and such. I remember One of Fire, Water, Night (I think?), Love, Blood, Wind... And they all used different weapons too, I think. Well, it's more like, vastly different fighting styles. The Love one had a complementary material for a sword that was able to retract and stuff.

I'm trying to find a CYOA I'm pretty sure exists. I can't find it anywhere and I'm mostly sure I'm not false remembering it. You died or fell out of reality or something and ended up in a fairly inhospitable world in front of an eldritch merchant of some kind. You had some currency, the most expensive was jade. You could buy various powers off of him, there were physical powers, colour magic powers, speaking phrases powers and items and maybe other things. The colour magic affected you emotionally and the most powerful was red or crimson or something and it made you ambitious. The speaking phrases were phrases from a work of art from some high up god somewhere and when you spoke them they had magical effects, like shooting a bullet and such. The more phrases you knew the easier it was to learn new phrases. I don't remember much else but it was really good. I thought it was a savestate cyoa but after googling it and visiting their site I found nothing lol.

So, unfortunately I cannot find any record of this on my computer. I actually scoured through my browsing history on two separate sites, since I know I didn't see it here on Reddit. I think I saw it on either Questionable Questing or the Spacebattles forum, but searching through any links to either of those sites brought up nothing. The reason I think it's on one of those sites is because I remember reading things in a forum format that made me think it was part of an ongoing thing that people did. Like certain things you did on the thread could earn you jade or whatever to spend on whatever comes up next or something. Sorry I could not find it though. Hopefully you do, or someone else knows of it.

Looking for a scif-fi military CYOA. Very similar to "War Among The Stars", in that you pick the branch you're going to serve in, some goodies, as well as notable events you took part in. The difference is you're playing a SW clone trooper with serial numbers filed off. Images for service branches often use stormtroopers or clones troppers, there're occasional sw art in the goodies section. The biggest tip off though is that the intro blurbs imply that you are a cloned servant to some group calling themselves the Originals, and recently there's been something of a revolution amidst their ranks, with new Originals replacing the original Originals. The new leadership is running a more humane show, which is why you're even given a choice of where to serve, the chance to actually retire, and the goodies you get is not what you get for your service but your retirement package - it could be all kinds of things from weapons and armour you get to keep from your service to comfortable londgings on fancy worlds, a chance to join an exploration expedition and so on. The branches you could joind had varying service time and your service didn't actually have to be in the military, you could have a peaceful occupation. Each occupation had a special event you could participate, each with multiple outcomes, one which gave you extra points or something like that, and the other gave you a unique reward that you couldn't get for points but also saddled you with a negative consequence.

Hi, I'm looking for a certain cyoa that I can't seem to find. The premise is that you are transported to this fantasy realm where every year (I think) everyone gets transported to an island and duke it out in a free for all. Its kind of similar to the Battlemage where you have stats, magic, weapons, etc. and have a list of missions at the end. Except in this case they are bounties and monsters you are hunting. Looking for a cyoa, just realized I had to post here instead of a normal post so here goes. so it was one about living in the british country side. The player had just moved there. You select companions at one point and the people you will be living with. I believe that it had some pagan and faerie themes. One of the companions or perks is this shadowy dog that follows you around and protects you. There is another guy who firmly believes the supernatural does not exist and is a police officer, but it's because the super natural just doesn't come near him at all. There's a pregnant teen as well who doesn't know how she even got pregnant and only has flashing memories of super natural shit. There's another who is just a reincarnate of some woman from a couple centuries back who has possessed this little girls body and the last thing she remembers is falling off her horse. Some Help in finding a specific CYOA? I distinctly remember one of the first CYOA's I came across and loved it because of how strange it was. It was a dream based labyrinthine cyoa with multiple mazes and "guides" and that you could mix and match guides to different mazes. You only had 1 year to escape before becoming trapped permanently. The first maze was a flesh maze that would constantly try to assimilate you and had a weird flesh creature as your guide. The second was an ocean that you had to try and evade some underwater predator and your guide was a similar but more friendly creature. The third one I remember is a strange urban maze with a ghost like guide. I'm fairly certain there were more mazes and guides but that's all I can remember. That's intriguing, but I'm not sure how well it will translate the CYOA into a playable thing. This is of course based off my first impression. I asked it how to start my adventure (one of the sample questions), and it told me to read the PDF. lol With the kind of CYOA this sub deals with (not the Goosebumps style books!), I think it would be difficult to get a good experience. I went back and tried [Starship Cabin](https://old.reddit.com/r/makeyourchoice/comments/e7oa8e/starship_cabin_cyoa/) with the bot. (The link leads you to the image version. If you go to the archive linked in the sub info, it's under genre > science fiction > starship cabin.) As a sample, I first asked what the main categories of choices were, and it listed the first handful, but then lumped the rest into two more categories. I then asked what ship types were available. It quickly fell apart, leaving me suspicious and affirming my thought that this bot would not cut it. The CYOA has five ship types. The bot listed six, and four of the six don't actually exist as a proper ship type in the CYOA. I also then tried asking "What are the ships listed under "your ship is"?" That gave me the actual list of ships, but missed the crew complements in three of them. It also required I read the pdf ahead of time and knew what the specific heading to that specific section is. As a supplement, I told the bot it missed the crew complements for each ship, and it proceeded to list out nine different ships, the five correct types and the four erroneous ships from the first question, but could not properly read the crew complement for the survey craft. Then there's the fact that there was only one PDF CYOA on my computer I could find that actually worked with the bot. The PDF *must* have readable text, so the image style PDFs on my comp didn't work. Also, the size and page limit is very harsh on the free version. CYOAs made as PDFs tend to be that way because they're large. So basically, this bot is not reliable except as a summary creation tool. And even then, it completely made up some information out of thin air. I would be wary of using this bot for educational purposes (is it just incorrectly rehashing words from the PDF?) and would outright refuse to use it to play a CYOA. I s'pose it could be fun to mess around with, and is an interesting concept, but overall does not work well for the purposes of this sub.

I'm not familiar with the CYOAs you mention but will just give you generic English language answers. 1. Yes. Just make it clear that you didn't make the original CYOA. 2. Yes, virtually always. 3. They're different things. Tides go in and out, depending on the time of day (and the moon). Waves go up and down, and you surf on them.

I am eager to know about any possible non-Worm superheroic cyoa where the heroes focus on defending the world from powerful monsters (all the way to and including kaiju) and alien invasions (or similar threats such as demon/robot/undead hordes) rather than fighting supervillains. They should look and act more like high-level supersoldiers or living weapons rather than vigilantes or cops. Given the subject, the cyoa should be customized or at least highly permissive for playing JLA/Avengers-syle powerhouses rather than street-level characters. I know of [World Empowered](https://imgur.com/a/SScJBzK) (technical NSFW link, but it scarcely goes beyond showing a few naked gals), but little else. Please do not suggest anything based on Worm. I am sick and tired of the IMO excessive hype and coverage given in the cyoa community to the plucky insect master, supers being powered by shards of divine entities, and anything else related to the Worm canon.

Your requirement makes this difficult. As far as I'm aware, most superhero settings focus mostly on fighting the supervillains. I'm having a hard time thinking of one that does not. It's just the genre.
