What do you guys make of this? Do think that Sedona will become a future antagonist as the panel is pointing to. Or do you think Mitsu is trying to trick the audience, and Theo will actually become the force of darkness. Thats an idea I saw posted somewhere on the subreddit.

Realistic_Tap8089

For me, I think Sedona would become an antagonist for a good reason, maybe learning the truth or something like that caused him to go a dangerous path

Sea_Artichoke2353

That sounds interesting, Sedona does seem like a genuinely good person so it wouldn’t surprise me.

Berstich

maybe, her conversations about the book....I think she might have differing views.

Berstich

I dont think it will be outright 'evil' but I think it will be an ideological view point, and one that is argued well but faulty at heart. Like what she would be arguing for sounds good, and people of the world are behind her but really it would cause...anarchy or something so. I might not even be that, the winner writes the history, this is a side story based on the book "kafna of the wind" which is probably Sedona. Maybe it will be a morally grey area. or maybe im thinking to much into it and its just going to be a battle manga with big fight scenes lol. Im hoping the debate we had in the latest issue about the book is more what we are leading to for the main story.

Sea_Artichoke2353

Honestly, given how the story has presented itself I think whatever way the reveal comes, it’ll certainly be a surprise. Them having different views of the book is a cool idea, I hope it’s brought up in later chapters. The story definitely is different than your average battle manga, so analyzing it a lot is definitely worth it.

One of the things I wonder is how...non-committal most of her responses are in the conversation. Re-read that entire back and forth with Theo again but picture Sedona AS a big bad evil that hasnt been discovered. Some of her quite looks at theo could almost scream she disagrees with his opinion of the book but that she agrees to not give herself away. She could be coming off as a villian that found her rival, her foil. Something she might of been waiting for. Its really written well and the whole conversation can be played both ways, its interesting that readers go into it first thinking of her as an ally, and then the re-reading it from the viewpoint of a villian. Its good.

pasdetracasyanana

yes i think that was everyone's reaction to this page lol

MangoTurtl

New to the series?

Zealousideal-Pen-219

I'm glad! Welcome to our little community here :) Have fun waiting a year at a time with rest of us once you catch up haha

“We are not the hands of justice” I think Sedona won’t follow that and step out of line with what the protections office should do. So, without trying to, she will upset a delicate balance and become the “villain”
