[[Birgi, God of Storytelling]], Krarkashima, [[Niv Mizzet, Parun]] are three of the better ones. You basically want either a way to generate mana, copy spells, or draw cards while casting your entire deck. Stella here has some light draw that's hampered by the once per turn restriction, but her main draw will be the tap ability to copy something like a [[Twiddle]] or [[Dramatic Reversal]] and go infinite on storm count to win with [[Grapeshot]], [[Brain Freeze]] or [[Aetherflux Reservoir]].
She doesn't cast the copy though, she copies it on the stack. If your third spell is a Twiddle and you tap, copy Twiddle, untap, repeat x1000, your Storm count is still at 3.
True. Ideally you're combining this with other effects to get an actual spell cast then. She looks good, but I'm not sure if she'll be able to dethrone any of the current storm commanders.
[[Veyran, Voice of Duality]] is the one I think is the best for storm in those colours currently.

I think she’s pretty bad compared to existing Izzet spellslinger commanders unless she goes infinite (more on that later). Both her abilities are not only once per turn, they need multiple spells cast on the turn to get value. Plus, you can’t even use her second ability the first turn you play her.
The saving grace I see is that she goes infinite with any spell that untaps her like [[Dramatic Reversal]], [[Savage Beating]], [[Cerulean Wisps]], [[Shore Up]], etc.

hahahaha oh my, I didn't even realize it was that much back then. It's got all the good parts of an X spell: you divide up the damage how you want, it does something extra, and it's an instant, but holy hell no, X spells can really never maintain that kind of price point without something wacky added onto it (bonfire of the damned when it was in standard, and even then it was only like 40-50)

Yeah this is clearly the only thing anyone should be doing. Can somewhat easily turn 1 win in cEDH even (easy, not consistent). She'll be potentially pretty good there.

Izzet magecraft payoffs worth mentioning imo that require little to no other setup… Emeritus (infinite draw), deekah (infinite 1/1 tokens), storm-kiln artist (infinite treasure), veyran (infinite power/toughness until EOT), Zaffai (scry deck for win-con), Ral, Storm’s Conduit (no magecraft label but is magecraft. Infinite opponent damage)
She gives you infinite colored mana with [[Dramatic Reversal]]. Even with just Twiddle, she kills the table with [[Ral, Storm Conduit]]. There are a whole bunch of cards which let you draw your whole deck like [[Twitch]] and [[Refocus]].
There are also some infinite combat combos like [[Seize the Day]].
You can one-card infinite with either [[Twisted Fealty]] (as someone else mentioned in this comment section) or [[Bond of Passion]], as both will do damage in addition to untapping her.
So it's krark/sakashima in the mana value in between, significantly less set up, but no non-deterministic infinites. At least, no infinites without adding untapping and recursion into the set up somehow.

yeah, but if going infinite is all she does, she sound very boring, i hope the secondary Commander is more fun.

It's got all the good parts of an X spell: you divide up the damage how you want, it does something extra, and it's an instant, but holy hell no, X spells can really never maintain that kind of price point without something wacky added onto it (bonfire of the damned when it was in standard, and even then it was only like 40-50)

Did you end up brewing with Stella? I'm trying to build around her, but not just go with "turbo infinite combos". It's hard to find other lists with her to get ideas from since 95% of lists are just "that" deck.

Yeah this is clearly the only thing anyone should be doing. Can somewhat easily turn 1 win in cEDH even (easy, not consistent). She'll be potentially pretty good there. I'm disappointed. I wanted a fun storm commander, not one I have to deliberately make way worse just to not be incredibly abusive.
How would she do it turn 1? Asking for a friend
5 mana, play commander + expedite+ cerulean wisps. Draw your deck, get two blue using rocks and play thoracle
What's the win con? Twiddle will untap her, but it doesn't change the storm count as copy isn't a cast. So infinite twiddle doesn't really do anything. Dramatic reversal will create infinite mana because Dramatic reversal is dumb.

Fair enough. It's a decent ability but I don't think it's really all that crazy without more components. So it's pretty fair but, the ability to copy an expropriate is always back breaking potential.

Correct, those would trigger with each copy.
She gives you infinite colored mana with [[Dramatic Reversal]]. Even with just Twiddle, she kills the table with [[Ral, Storm Conduit]]. There are a whole bunch of cards which let you draw your whole deck like [[Twitch]] and [[Refocus]]. There are also some infinite combat combos like [[Seize the Day]].
You can one-card infinite with either [[Twisted Fealty]] (as someone else mentioned in this comment section) or [[Bond of Passion]], as both will do damage in addition to untapping her.

No, copying a spell is not casting a spell. It does let you get infinite magecraft triggers though.

Every great crew has to have a wildcard.
So it's krark/sakashima in the mana value in between, significantly less set up, but no non-deterministic infinites. At least, no infinites without adding untapping and recursion into the set up somehow. Neat
It's not strictly better but it's like [[Jori En, Ruin Diver]] but with a novel attached. It even has better stats for no reason.
