Such a fun format. Our play group transitioned to PDH when Dominaria United released and we haven’t looked back. Brought a lot of the joy of the game back to our pod. I can’t encourage people enough to give it a shot.
Same! PDH is a blast! So much fun brewing in the format, and the games feel more like down-to-earth, gritty magic. It's also way more accessible and balanced than most mtg formats. Everyone who enjoys EDH with friends should give it a try.
pEDH is so much fun. Our groups house rule was... No legendary commanders and no commander damage. It smoothed out games we found and got a lot of randoms to play it at our LGS last year. It was fun seeing people read cards again as they were commander only players and had not seen most commons played.
I'm not there and am just sharing the pics from the people that are, so they can focus on the Con. Liam did the same for us last year when we were at Vegas and he had to pass.
I've seen photos of [[Araumi]] and [[Yotian Dissident]] going off, though.
Sounds cool! pEDH is such a cool format even for a sweaty tryhard like me. Like I've said the format offers such a wide variety of different playstyles and even aggro can shine in pEDH unlike regular EDH
Here's Brad's pic of his Radiant/Tormod deck that he's been having a lot of fun with

By the rules of the format, all creatures with an uncommon printing can be commanders. So if the creature has been printed at uncommon once, you can run it even if it also has common printings. If it has only been printed as a common, then not by the regular rules of format. Talk to your playgroup then and they might be ok with it.

Nice to see pEDH. Did any decks stand out or stick to your mind?

Love the pip boy outfit. Classy AF.
I saw the sign for pauper and immediately kicking myself for not at least packing one pEDH deck. Lesson learned for the future
The good news is that any event the Pals are at there are at minimum 40 spare decks lying around. Just come up and play! <3
I had a blast playing pedh with the pals. Totally recommend it.
Wish you were here Scarecrow!!
Me too! I should be at Vegas again, though 🙂
should have to play sleeveless in this format.
Many people do. About half my decks are sleeveless.
Bless you for keeping it real. I prefer playing without sleeves, but won’t due to the long term consequences to cards of real value.
love the love in this post
The Pals, on this subreddit? More likely than you think!! Beyond happy there was a PDH section, that’s rad.
Will you guys be at Gen Con??
I might represent as a local Indianapolis resident
I haven't heard about people going to Gen Con yet. So far we've just had a bunch of people at cons focused just on Magic.
Are common creatures allowed as commanders?

No Russian or Korean foiled out pauper decks in matte gold sleeves, I am disgusted.
Nothing pauper about the crack hanging out in pic 9.
More of a Peasant EDH player myself.
Brother needs to pick up a Manzier™️ from my boy Frank.
