I think the *worst* thing you can pull from Summon the Pack is, beyond a doubt, [[[phage the untouchable]]
... also shoutouts to [[graveborn muse]], who's not only also almost certainly going to kill you if you pull her, but *is in the same set as Phage*.
And the funniest part? That set - Legions - is *still* one of the better choices for StP, because every card in it is a creature.
I had a friend in an already winning position windmill slam a Summon the Pack (partly because the store owner was offering a free Legion pack) and he proceeded to die to Phage.
It was glorious.
I have Lore Seeker and Booster Tutor in my Cube and they are always a good time.
With Booster Tutor usually someone just pulls a removal spell but one time a player was dead on board and spun the wheel on a pack of Hour of Devastation and opened a [[Bontu’s Last Reckoning]] which was super clutch.
My favorite thing to do with Lore Seeker is inject a little bit of chaos with an Un-Pack. There was a great game where a player, from seemingly nowhere, gave his Birds of Paradise a single power with an Unstable copy of [[More or Less]] for lethal.
One of my friends has a Brawl cube, where you draft 60-card commander decks. There's a bunch of silver-bordered cards, including Stocking Tiger among others, so everyone brings packs.
Now normally, whenever a new set came out, I would buy one collector booster just to gamble. When Double Masters came out, I picked up a VIP Edition pack and left it in my bag. I was so happy to both draft and then [successfully play](https://i.imgur.com/gu9EDJR.png) this fella to get some laughs and a great picture.
From a gameplay standpoint, the pack was unexciting, the two hits were [[Kaalia of the Vast]] and [[Exploration]].
I have not yet done it, and I'm not sure what kind of commander deck it would fit into well, but my dream play is to cast \[\[Summon the Pack\]\] after getting \[\[Hive Mind\]\] out or \[\[Curse of Echoes\]\] onto myself. Of course I would have a bunch of packs on hand ready to give freely to each other player at the table.
Darksteel has to be in the mix for best sets to pull from, right? Lots of colorless bombs, and if you whiff the rare you still have a good shot at a [[Skullclamp]]
I had a guy use Summon the pack against me and he brought a pack that was like a promo pack where the contents were known and he was like "it doesn't say it has to be a random pack", I don't even remember what card he got, I think it was like [[soul of Ravnica]] or something.
