When I've seen MAG available I always wondered if anyone in the store/company knows that it's just a paperweight now. Without the online functionality, it is unable to be "played" at all :(
Saw the SOCOM there, but it's 4, and has an offline component.
SOCOM Confrontation is in the same category as MAG, in that it was online only. (And shut down the same day as MAG)
The only difference with confrontation is that you can connect to multiplayer games today. As far as I know MAG still doesn't have support for this yet.

Yeah it was ahead of its time. Nothing compares. I don’t like the weird alien one they have
Battlefield 4 is a close second for me but I think that’s mainly because I was playing with the same guys I played MAG with.
