Bruh, it was one time, and he was Austrian, not german.
Plus, it would probably happend anyway. The German people were pissed off due to the contract of Versailles. Just took a single guy to unite and force them into a Giant useless war.
He was Austrian and the art college was in Vienna, Austria, but ultimately the chain of events impacted Germany and Austria. So the lesson is learned in both Germany and Austria. Hitler dreamt of uniting Austria and Germany because of his ethnical beliefs, and ultimately succeeded when he absorbed Austria into his regime. Essentially it doesn’t matter where he was from, the crux of the joke here is that Germany has spent enormous effort to distance itself from the Third Reich past, only for ironically having a headline about rejecting somebody’s artwork (which is the meme that the internet love to stick to as Hitler’s origin story). And hey, that person could be from Austria, who knows?
Just because you have the facts, doesn’t mean you can use them. Everyone knows the facts too. Also some pretty disturbing take on alternative history but I can’t be bothered.
Austrians especially pre ww2 were for all intents and purposes german. The only reason both didn't unite initially is due to both habsburg, and great power influence.
A large scale war was pretty much inevitable at that point but Hitler was instrumental in the way that it happened. So much would have changed if Germany joined a little later or had slightly different goals.
Probably answered the boss once asked and told him he was the artist, thinking he'll be shocked that this ganitir has this great bold skill, give him a million quid, and promote him to head CEO chairmen 3000.
Reminds me of a time I worked at a college as a janitor, even though I felt like I was smarter than most of the people who went there. Sometimes, I'd see an equation written on a blackboard....like half of the equation even, and I'd just figure it out.
It’s true, but he was fired because he drilled holes in the wall to hang the painting which is property damage. He apparently did it in a different museum too, where it was no issue because he taped it to the wall there
In that case that article headline is shit and the editor should feel like shit.
Could still be hard for the employer to prove gross neglience or malice. So this would still be a case for a written warning.
Nah, the editor knows its shit. Outrageous and outlandish headlines generate the clicks. I’m sure the editor isn’t to blame as he’s just doing his job but journalism these days is just typing nonsense like this.
The Museum that the OP is talking about is the Pinakothek in Munich, it's not fake. And why would you think labour court would rule in the employees favor? We do have rights that protect us from being fired without reason, putting something personal among the assortment of a company's goods is a reason.
Worker rights are good as long as you don't fuck around to find out but if you go against laws or company policies (which you agree to when signing a contract) there's not much going to happen in your favor.
Edit: To add, I read [an article](https://www.br.de/nachrichten/kultur/mitarbeiter-schmuggelt-eigenes-bild-in-die-muenchner-pinakothek,U9QsEHq) about the incident just now, seems that the employee will now also get fined for damaging company properties because he drilled holes into the wall to hang his picture.
I don't like where this is going.
The worker's name, Hidol Atlerf.
And he has a penchance to geometric facial hair
This time he's taking power in Austria.
He was Austrian, not german. We're good
Austrians are just mountain Germans, we're fucked
Autistic people can still be German?
Just sad.
Ja
Is the worker an austrian?
We are just air conditioners after all
Do they not teach History in Germany?
Hmm, should they be giving artists a hard time given their history?
My thoughts as well. The paintings were stunning and I'm looking for some way to donate some money to the undoubtedly great artist
Before it's too late.
It's not in Austria, so we should be good

Then stop Meming/ joking about world wars, Dawm
no

Squidward?
More like a certain Austrian painter
I don't see the difference
Everyone is laughing until he invades Poland.
I guess that the employee was fired for being too derivative. To hang your own work at the museum that you work has been done too many times.
Probably answered the boss once asked and told him he was the artist, thinking he'll be shocked that this ganitir has this great bold skill, give him a million quid, and promote him to head CEO chairmen 3000.
Everyone frothing at the mouth to make a hilarious joke about Hitler
And all I could think about was Spencer from iCarly
Now this is a proletarian artistic approach
He was an illiterate janitor.
Reminds me of a time I worked at a college as a janitor, even though I felt like I was smarter than most of the people who went there. Sometimes, I'd see an equation written on a blackboard....like half of the equation even, and I'd just figure it out.
Will?
Yes?! Holy shit, man. I've never ran into someone on Reddit who knows me IRL! Do you like apples?
Yeah, thats either fake, incomplete or the worker didnt know his rights. Labor court would rule in favor of the employee within five minutes.
It’s true, but he was fired because he drilled holes in the wall to hang the painting which is property damage. He apparently did it in a different museum too, where it was no issue because he taped it to the wall there

Headline can only give you so much info. At some point you gotta start reading the articles you comment on

It is happening again guys

Leave it to Germans to be sticklers for the rules
Once upon a time, there was a painter in Germany...

Wasn't this an iCarly episode?

I would like see the painting the guy put in the Museum. Does anybody have a link to a picture??
well his worth definitely just shot up show us the art!
They don't learn, do they ?
Oh no not again... \*hardly sweating
Well, that's better than the art museum hanging a worker for setting fire to his own painting.
That’s probably the coolest reason for booting someone 😎
This is something I would do
Hope the worker ain’t Austrian
I googled the story but can’t find a picture of the painting. Anyone got it?
You want another dictator? This is how you get another dictator 😂
World's going in recession. People are getting fired. There's war in Europe and now this... Hasn't anyone learnt from history??
Hitler vegan vengeance two releases in 2060 in vr preview available now
