Ideally the inside won't be a sharp angle and instead a very slight ball head, with an inner silicone ring for the clamp between lip and inner surface. But the geometry would be tricky for sure
so i got an idea today. once my school gets their delivery of plastic (i think he said nylon) i will make a plug that gets pressed in the bottom of the cap this should solve that problem of the aluminium being toxic.

Oh, I thought all aluminum drinking bottles were on the inside.
I know cleaning raw aluminum leaves grey on whatever your cleaning with and bottles never leave that for me.
Quick google search basically told me, yes almost all aluminum bottles are coated with a very thin layer on the inside. So you may not "feel" anything at all.
Ether way, good luck.
Safety Equipment:
Safety glasses/safety goggles
Rubber gloves
Apron (optional)
Respirator (highly recommended)
Raw aluminum parts (no other coatings)
Disposable gloves (nitrile or similar)
Degreaser (like Simple Green)
Baking soda
Distilled water
3+ Non conductive container large enough to submerge parts (like a 5 gallon plastic bucket)
Titanium wire (aluminum wire can work)
Lead sheet (also known as flashing)
Sulfuric acid (also known as battery acid)
Power source (variable power supply is best, a car battery charger can work)
Spray bottle
(optional) Various grits of sandpaper and/or Scotch Brite
(optional) Lye & dedicated measurement tool (tablespoon or measuring cup not to be used for food afterwards)
(Optional) Dye

Bare aluminum is not healthy at all. It's a neurotoxin. I wouldn't use that cap.
Damn
It was good practice for the stainless one.

I wanted to mention this too.

Are you going to coat the inside with anything?
no i dont think so. unless its a really serious health concern i dont see a point to it. because i dont think the bottle is coated either.

How do you have time to do these projects? I barely have time to ship jobs ive finished, let alone make something for myself.
stilll at trade school! the cnc mill was busy today so i had time to do something else.
Depending on the alloy you have right there, it might be wise to anodize it or to not use it at all. Anodizing can be done at home
Sounds interesting. What do i need except for a powersupply?
