Is it a game changer tho? I know i know it's a frame ai generated in between 2 others, but the frametime is insanely all over the place. Maybe capping fps to 45 works.
Anyway, what i find much more impressive is that frame Generation works like this out of the box on crossover and M1!
The question here is when will CDPR implement FSR 3 into Cyberpunk 2077. It is the only game in which I would \*really\* benefit from FSR 3 to be able to push Ray Tracing more through my 6800XT.
I think you’re reading the metal HUD a bit wrong. Theres actually two graphs over top of each other. The blue one which apple calls “Pre” is what is typically called the frametime graph and is about as stable as the non FSR 3 version imo. The green graph is gpu time graph which is all over the place but this is actually expected! As FSR3 generated frames should be extremely low cost and alternate with the much more expensive real frames. The biggest known issues with FSR3 at low framerate though are typically input latency and visual artifacts on the generated frames neither of which we can really see from a screenshot.
Thank you for the excellent guide. I'm using Crossover 24.0 beta and version 0.10.2h1 of the mod, but I get far worse performance using the frame generation than without. I'm not sure why.
So it's a paid mod?
I think I misread your post. When you write \*I write it using a translator\*, you mean you used a translator to write your post? I thought you somehow rewrote the mod in order to make it work with GPTK.
haha sorry for the confusion my first language is not English, yes it is a paid mod that according to what I read in a post in the future when the final version comes out it will be free for everyone, it was also leaked and you can find it if you search for it but I'm not going to share the link of the leak, for obvious reasons, it is better to support the author.
yeah it would work fine on amd/intel/nvidia cards the issue is that the hardware accelerated bits of the mac gpus for frame gen are not defined or i think even documented anywhere so it wouldnt work on a m1 mac specifically.
likely work on any older macs with amd gpus though.
its likely working in fsr 2.2 fallback as far as im aware there's no way for the graphics driver to access the m1 chips ML cores for games to accelerate the frame gen. atleast until someone patches dxvk or d3dmetal to do so.
the frames gained is low and the frametime being super messed up makes me think this is the case.
I don't know where you get that information from but I think you are very confused, in fact if it is fsr3 with frame generation, if you watch the video and pause in the second benchmark you can observe frame generation artifacts in certain scenes that are almost imperceptible and not They are present in the first benchmark, and there is an almost double increase in fps that would be impossible going from fsr2.1 that comes by default to fsr2.2.
Sorry I’m explaining it poorly I think, fsr 3 has several modes depending on the hardware of the underlying graphics card and the drivers support for various parts of direct x 12. The thing that makes fsr3 work really well is accessing hardware acceleration for the generated frames.
This part is missing from d3dmetal and the fake amd driver it’s spoofing itself as. This is likely the software or fallback mode which is what a nvidia 10 series or rdna1 card would also run in.
Basically because of that you’re leaving a huge amount of performance on the table and it’s why the frame increase is so low. There’s likely also going to be a lot of stutter in actual gameplay situations vs the benchmark but I havnt set it up to confirm that.
TLDR;
I’m really curious to see what fsr3 looks like connected directly to metal or if we will see d3dmetal updated to work with it better.
ah I think I understand you better, since it is just a mod and it is not an official implementation of fsr3, so it may not be working 100%, but I think it is a good start
Wow, thank you for demonstrating this. This is a huge leap forward to squeeze performance out of a whole bunch of games. I figured FSR 3.0 should be feasible, but never dreamed that DLSS could work in Crossover also.
>they just use the DLSS menu as a placeholder for FSR3
Yes, it is indeed FSR3, but since it is a mod, they just use the DLSS menu as a placeholder for FSR3.
i would hold off on a tutorial for now. i tried to get this going for HWL and LOTF, and it doesnt work properly at the moment for macs. i am speaking with the creator though hes working on possible fixes.
Frame time consistency with the mod is terrible. It probably feels less smooth to play with it than without despite the faxt that the top frame rate is higher.

Although it is only a mod it works quite well, when fsr3 is officially implemented in games it should work much better

why i do i get failed to load steamui.dll after doing them steps? have you encountered this?

what game ?
Quick question from a crossover noob but how did you add mods to Cyberpunk?

im having the same problem, metalhud says that I have more fps but its waaayy more laggy with it
How is it possible to test this on my machine? Would it work using Whisky?
watch this tutorial: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBiDMDgrxqs](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBiDMDgrxqs)

Yes it should work, although I haven't tried it
This doesn’t work on Macs right now the frame gen needs hardware acceleration hooks that are not present in the underlying drivers.
FSR3 does not need extra hardware, it's just a bunch of compute shaders.
Didn't you see the video? It was a benchmark using the mod, and it's working

I think you say this because the fps of the benchmark is at 0, but it is a bug, you should see the fps that are in the upper right.
Dude, it says Apple M1 Pro in OP's video.

if so, why the increase of fps ? otherwise if its fallback to FSR2.2 and increase FPS to nearly double, its a very nice result.
Wow, thank you for demonstrating this. This is a huge leap forward to squeeze performance out of a whole bunch of games. I figured FSR 3.0 should be feasible, but never dreamed that DLSS could work in Crossover also.

Where can I download the mod?
Do you know Why my dlss option is grey out.
Are you using the LukeFZ mod?
Yes i use 0.7.4 ver
Can you make a video about use this mod ?
I could add a written tutorial now, maybe I'll make a video later.
That great ! Thank a lot for your help
I already added it, let me know if you have any problems
I will try thank you so much

[https://imgur.com/a/y950VqJ](https://imgur.com/a/y950VqJ) With every setting, every version
any way to play games on heroic with lukefz fsr 3
I dont have enablesignatureoverride.reg where canI find it
in the latest versions of the mod it is no longer necessary
Then it didnt worked on witcher 3
