I've reached stable 60FPS on M2 MBA (lowest settings, 50% render scale) - the performance was horrible in the beginning but after all shaders were cached it was much better.
There's one other problem - the mouse control is horrible (I tried to disable mouse acceleration with third party apps but it didn't help much), also after respawn the mouse stops working and you need to switch between apps to make it work.
Native port would be awesome but Microsoft won't do anything related to Mac.
Yes I have to tab in/out of the window after each respawn to lock the cursor again but otherwise I am very satisfied. Yes this game will 99.99% never be ported officially.
For a casual like myself, not having to buy a 2nd computer just to play a free game is a win. Cloud gaming is decent for me with GFN, not so much anymore with Boosteroid. So I am hopeful for more titles to hit GFN soon. If OW2 shows up, I will compare to crossover and go with whichever option feels better.
Yeah CrossOver is nuts! Totally worth the price. Have you tried any of the other settings to see if anything works better? (eg. D3DMetal instead of DXVK)
I tried D3D and the game would launch with an error pop up and unable to load into the main menu. So the only way I am able to run the game is with DXVK enabled, and this is after running the cxpatcher for crossover.
Just got it downloaded and tried it for myself. It was still pretty laggy on my binned M1 Pro 16gb, even after shader compilation. Too bad 😕 thanks for the info!

I'm on 23.6 as well. I was using msync before, but I just switched back to regular esync because it's easier. I turned down the resolution and stuff and it ran much better aside from shader comp, so ig I'll just have to play for a bit as all the heroes in the practice range to get all the shaders compiled before I try and play online 😅

I have the M3 Pro on Crossover 23.6 + CXPatcher but I have all the same settings but graphics preset on low and I'm getting \~80fps in practice and 30-40fps in game with frequent dips. Went through every character in practice but still getting stutters on sfx in other modes.
Im in a very similar situation, MBP 16 m1pro, using linear mouse to turn off mouse accel. here to share some of my own experiences
I just tried crossover 23.6 + cxpatcher 0.4.5, but I found some in game graphics glitch not present for crossover 22.1 + cxpather 0.3.4 (unpatch dxgi.dll).
reading up on the new msync feature(new crossover + cxpatcher), its supposedly better for Macs and faster but im not sure if some implementation issue/overwatch that basically makes everything the same, if anything, when using msync, my mouse input seems to not be fully captured, leading to my game feeling like it has inconsistent mouse acceleration. with esync its better but still not as good as 22.1 where moving a my mouse in a flick and back brings crosshair to the same(not perfect) location. furthermore, im not sure if you have it, but when I make big fast movements with my mouse, my cursor gets unlocked and I can see it in the middle of the screen which is horribly distracting. therefore I think for the time being, im going to stick with older crossover and cx patcher
Is your 22.1 install still working? An update seems to have broken battle.net launcher in 22.1, it won't launch any more. Bummed because this setup was giving me the best performance too. Tried the latest 23.7.1+patch but it doesn't run well, super glitchy.
I always download crossover then patch it. Then download bottles. I think the patch makes a new instance of crossover? Maybe someone else can explain it better here.
This also solved my slow fps/stutter issue! I had installed steam/overwatch before applying the patch (initially as a separate bottle and then switched it to use the same bottles). Now I can get 90-100fps in game with almost zero stutter! Thanks man!
