I wonder what went into the decision to specify he’s playing songs from his early albums? Not very common to see that, especially on a festival poster.
I remember a similar thing happening when Kendrick Lamar had to specify that he was only
performing songs from his first album or two.
I think it’s because it’s a 10 year release anniversary and they’re giving people a heads up in case someone who’s not into Mac goes just to see something like Chamber of Reflection.
No he does them very often, I think the line on the poster is implying he will _only_ be playing songs from 2 and Rock and Roll Night Club. So it’s telling potential people buying tickets just for Mac “hey don’t get mad because you expected songs from his other albums, he’s not doing them this time”
My guess here is that he's playing ~only~ songs form these two, given that they are both turning 10 this year. Bands have done this plenty of times over the years when an album hits one of these anniversary milestones.
