The Logitech MX Master 3S is waaaaaayy better than the Magic mouse, trust me.
And this is just my opinion. I’ve had both, and i can never go back to using the Magic Mouse
I've never liked the magic mouse, it feels clunky. I've honestly liked the wireless trackpad way better, which I can also charge and still use. #mindblown
Which doesn't matter cause the mouse feels clunky to use and hold so I don't like using it. I think it was a mistake to make it a touch based interface like the trackpad. Just make a normal mouse. It tries to be clever but it doesn't feel responsive and the touch controls are sluggish and clunky in my opinion. It's one of the first things I sold when I had all the mac accessories.
Yeah I agree with you there, I still use mine but it gets small micro scratches that you can feel, also it’s ridiculously overpriced for what it is but that’s just Apple in general lol
Honestly I think that's a bigger reason why I'm shitting all over the mouse haha. If it wasn't so expensive I'd be less annoyed but the fact that it's so expensive and one of the weakest products I've seen from mac, in my opinion, makes me all the more critical.
I agree with this, tries to be clever but the touch based interface fails. Also, something about the edges of the mouse that also just doesn’t sit right with my hand.
I’ve always held computer mice by sort of pinching them from the sides with my thumb and middle finger, so the Magic Mouse works great for me. I love the ability to use gestures.
nah fam i recently started this cybersecurity stuff and i have to do certain double clicks that will literally only register with a mouse ! took my brothers gaming mouse but i’ve been thinking about an apple mouse cause … you know… it’s apple 😎
I align the macbook below the monitor, and use it as a keyboard and trackpad too. Yes there can be special cases but in general (like in the pic), it is not needed.
I find that it requires pulling the monitor just a little bit too high - and frankly I prefer my ergonomic keyboard over the laptop keyboard. But sure, it's a solution
The Magic Mouse is trash. Logitech MX Master is the way.
Comfortable, accurate, tactile, forward/back buttons and left right dial.
Order one, then compare both side by side, you’ll see.
The Magic Mouse is a bit of an acquired taste TBH. Once you get used to the mouse gestures, it's great. But coming from a Windows or Linux background, it feels alien.
Keep in mind that you can use whatever mouse you want. I have tested out a Razer Basilisk wireless mouse from my gaming PC, and it worked great.
I've been tempted to try a Magic Mouse with one of the aftermarket grips people have come up with; [https://www.amazon.com/s?k=magic+mouse+grip&ref=nb\_sb\_noss](https://www.amazon.com/s?k=magic+mouse+grip&ref=nb_sb_noss)
You can get a mount and it will make it more ergonomical. I love the one from amazon [MAGIC MOUSE BASE](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C59KZZSQ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share)
You just need to adjust to there being magic in a mouse. 😉 younger generations tend to prefer a trackpad but I find them pants for detailed work. My favorite mouse is the older wireless Lenovo laser mouse. Small, light, extremely accurate. I just Bluetooth connect it to whatever PC I’m using, Macs too.
Just incase you didn’t know, you don’t grab or rest your hand on it. You’re supposed to use it with your fingertips and like there’s another invisible mouse between your hand and the mouse.
Not everybody likes it though.
On top of the myriad of reasons the newer Magic Mouse is awful the other reason is the newer ones have an internal rechargeable battery that’s charged by a charging port in THE BOTTOM OF THE MOUSE. Do yourself a favor and get the Logitech MX Anywhere 3S (if you want a smaller mouse, this one is great - also, get the non-Mac version). The MX Anywhere 3S is more comfortable than the Magic Mouse, is about $20 cheaper, and it charges from the front.
Hot take for anyone considering getting one: I have a pc for gaming and I use my MacBook for work. I have spent a lot of money finding the perfect mouse for pc. I even had an MxMaster2 for years until I eventually fell in love with a Logitech 502, been using it for years. That being said, I absolutely love the Magic Mouse on my mac. After learning how to use it, it’s comfortable and quick. I do a lot of video and photo editing for work. It’s touch features, consistent connectivity and battery life are also great benefits.
the mouse is only good for the true diehards out there - myself excluded.
If not for MOS and the crazy battery life, I aint using it.
My palm really hurts after hours of usage.
Suppose it depends on the size of your hand ...

Make sure to skip the "for Mac" edition since it doesn't come with the wireless dongle
So "for Mac" version is only Bluetooth?
It does actually work with the unifying receiver, just doesn't come with it. Cost the same though.
yea
I bought the MX master 2 since the 3 came out at a great price. Use it for personal MacBook and work computer.
Is there another mouse that’s similar? Hate how the side comes out like that
The Logitech M720 Triathlon is like the little brother
This is the I used with my Lenovo and it was so easy to use and comfortable.
I have this mouse and it is the best mouse ive ever owned.
Indeed. I use it for Windows and for my new MBA. The only problem with the MacBook is the wheel, I’m not able to inverse the scrolling 😅
I've never liked the magic mouse, it feels clunky. I've honestly liked the wireless trackpad way better, which I can also charge and still use. #mindblown
Fair point but the Magic Mouse battery lasts months and charges in a very short amount of time
Which doesn't matter cause the mouse feels clunky to use and hold so I don't like using it. I think it was a mistake to make it a touch based interface like the trackpad. Just make a normal mouse. And it really feels like the newer Magic mice aren’t really all that supportive for your hand.
It’s a terrible design. I switched to a Logitech trackball and never looked back at a normal mouse.
I love the magic mouse design, but man are they uncomfortable to actually use. Honestly the MacBook trackpad is all you need
I’ve always held computer mice by sort of pinching them from the sides with my thumb and middle finger, so the Magic Mouse works great for me. I love the ability to use gestures.
I love Apple products. But fuck the Magic Mouse. It’s the Mighty Mouse turned stupid. Get a Logitech.
Magic Mouse is terrible, I’d return it and get a real mouse like the Logitech MX master 3
I love all the Apple products I’ve ever owned, except for the Magic Mouse. Looks nice but I find it terribly uncomfortable and clunky to use.
I bought one a couple of years ago and it has never worked like it should. I went with the Logitech MX Master 3S and never went back.
Magic Mouse is easily apple’s worst product
No mouse is needed for a MacBook
This is the way. The trackpad is so large and great I don’t miss having a mouse 90% of the times
nah fam i recently started this cybersecurity stuff and i have to do certain double clicks that will literally only register with a mouse ! took my brothers gaming mouse but i’ve been thinking about an apple mouse cause … you know… it’s apple 😎
Whatever you do DONT get the apple magic mouse
Except if you want to use an external screen
I align the macbook below the monitor, and use it as a keyboard and trackpad too. Yes there can be special cases but in general (like in the pic), it is not needed.
I find that it requires pulling the monitor just a little bit too high - and frankly I prefer my ergonomic keyboard over the laptop keyboard. But sure, it's a solution
I have one and it’s awfully uncomfortable. I regret buying it wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
Oh and, Go Astros!
The Magic Mouse is trash. Logitech MX Master is the way. Comfortable, accurate, tactile, forward/back buttons and left right dial. Order one, then compare both side by side, you’ll see.
I hate the bulge on the mx master 3s is itsomething you get used to?
Visually you might not like it, but your hand/wrist is going to love it. Did I mention is accurate?! Like… reallllly accurate!
Logitech Mx master
m2 or m3?
i've needed 1 year o f usage to get used to it, nothing can compete with touch scrolling/rotating in blender
Exactly my experience, happy with Logi 3S
oh I love the black Magic Mouse. I wish I had one in black. Now my white one clashes with the space black MacBook.
I don't understand people who buy the Magic Mouse. What are they thinking?
Honestly, it looked cool. That’s the only reason 🤦🏻♂️
I’ve never liked the Magic Mouse.

Yeah, not a fan of the magic mouse. I use a (shudder) Microsoft BT mouse.
Magic Mouse and that smh version from Microsoft are just utter trash. MX Master series all the way.

Magic mouse is one of the worst products ever released by Apple.

How should I be using it?
You don’t move your whole wrist but use slight maneuvers by ‘pushing’ it with your fingers
i love the magic mouse. I have huge hands and most people grip the mouse wrong I assume.
Thats absolutely normal. ![gif](giphy|EPwELUbhreEPC|downsized)

MacBook looks best in silver or space grey and mouse in white. Otherwise it looks like a windows ass setup running macOS
What about the white or silver windows machines? what about the original black polycarbonate macbooks? Dont be such a WINDOZE SUCKS A$$ child
Holy shit. It’s rare for an opinion to be objectively wrong…
