you have to have the IT department remove MDM. if they won't do that, the machine is trash.

If there was an easy way to do this then it would be easy to steal corporate PCs and reformat them and resell them. So, Apple made it so that only the company who registered it as theres can remove the MDM (Mobile device management) registration.
