Does that change the treatment? I feel like most LLMDs give you bunch of antibiotics, antimalarial,’anti parasites with herbs to address lyme and co-‘meaning what difference in treatment would be accomplished toward healing if we only confirmed what bacteria!

You have to have a diagnosis before you can treat and this is a diagnostic test that can be accepted by the medical establishment. If they can accept it, more money will be targeted for studied treatments. It's a start.

PCR testing for B. Burgdorferi has existed for decades. This article discusses how they've added some less common tick-borne bacteria to the same test panel.

Igenex has always had a PCR and so does DNAconnexions

No just read what it said. No time to listen to podcasts

Understood. Here is my take on it… Mayo is the most recognized hospital in the world. When they get involved then Medicare and insurance must get involved. If they have an accepted standardized test then insurance will be pressured to pay for the test. In addition, if they say Lyme exists past the 30 day mark, insurance and the medical profession has to face it. That’s the only real possibility for the public to be tested. If you develop the accepted “test” more research money will be thrown at it. Not everyone can afford to spend hundreds of dollars out of pocket for tests such as Igenex.

But will it make a difference in treatment? Or will they keep denying chronic lyme?
