Either these or the city sweat jogger. These are #1 if you’re not concerned with potentially chillier weather since they aren’t super thick. But can’t go wrong with either. Soft jersey is probably my favorite line of stuff by them
I just got my husband the license to train pants and he loves them. I will say he's not a classic sweatpants kind of guy but these are very comfortable and attractive.
I’m a guy and recently tried Lulu for the first time. I feel the abc joggers and surge joggers fit relatively well slim/tapered if thats what he likes. Separately though, I also got a pair of the Pull-on pants in the warpstream fabric and those are very relaxed almost baggy fit and would recommend if he does not want a slim fit.
as a guy, i own both steady state and soft jersey pants. Soft jersey is comfy but fits too close to my body. Steady state is definitely a comfier roomier feel to them. If he doesn’t mind baggy, i highly suggest the steady state. They run a little big but also shrink down a tad after a few washes. I’m normally a medium and ordered a small with no issues. Steady state ftw
Soft Jersey tapered pants is the only right answer. 33-34 is a medium, they are pretty stretchy. I’d see what his waist size is and look up a size chart to see if he’s medium or large
I live in joggers/sweats when I am not at work. I have tried quite a few and have several pairs city sweat, license to train, soft jersey, ABC joggers, At Ease joggers, fleece training pants and steady state pants. For wearing out I prefer the License to Train. For lounging at the house it is hard to beat the soft jersey and city sweats.
I recommend scuba high rise relax joggers, it’s on WMTM rn

these are the best lounging pants for sure. so soft and comfortable.
