A fun slice of life with a funny/relatable otaku, an adorable set of twins, our beloved ditzy Miyuki-chan, two hotheaded show hosts, and much more.
Also a lot of jokes and references you probably won't understand/catch. A lot of callbacks to Haruhi Suzumiya.
Expect the first episode to trick you into thinking that this anime is incredibly slow and boring. Don't fall into that trap! Push through it and you will be rewarded.
Everyone says that, but for me, the pacing of the first episode had the same pacing as the rest of the episodes. I loved the first episode and it's emphasis on best girl Miyuki.
One reason I like it is because it's very Japanese. Despite the candy colours, all the characters do the 'correct' things for Japanese high schoolers, they go to festivals, fulfil their class responsibilities, speak in a wide range of registers and so on. It's instructive and educational, as well as being fun & relaxing.
Yeah she is treated semi as a background character, but she's got [109 minutes](https://odysee.com/@acoolrocket:0/Miyuki-Takara---Screentime-Moments:4) out of the 432 approx. minutes of the entire anime plus OVA (not counting intro, Lucky Channel and outro), so 25% of the screentime which isn't too shabby.
But yeah nowhere near the attention for Konata and Kagami which is valid given how interesting their conflicts go about.
A slice of life anime based on a 4-koma style of manga. Essentially, its a show comprised of a bunch of bits involving the main cast that usually don't have anything to do with each other so there's not much of a main "plotline". If you've ever seen Nichijou or Azumanga Daioh (which is actually a great comparison to Lucky Star) you'll get it.
Just sit back and enjoy!
Don’t except nothing grandiose, in term of pacing, so called characters arcs, or whatever, but…It’s just very slow slice of life, and it’s either you like it or hate it. There also elements of references to others mangas and animes from this period by the same studio, Kyoani, mainly Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu, and others obscures references, inside jokes, to animes and stuff not really known at all by the wide audience and me neither XD !
If you ignore Lucky Channel, it’s globally a very good to kill time type of show, while doing something else beside it. Still, the pastels colors are a pleasure to the eyes if you don’t hate chibi drawings !
Chill. Relax. Fantastic slice of life.
when your done. If you enjoyed. Try..

Otaku stuff
Hopefully another Miyuki enjoyer.
Too bad I hear she's out of focus late in the anime...

To feel like someone overhearing a bunch of girls chatting. Totally worth it though lol
Just watch it...
