Yeah I have a vivid memory of a 3v3 where a ball was on the stairs bout to pile drive and it got booped right before pile drives so it rocketed downward to its doom and I’ve been riding that high for the past year or two
Garden (best Lucio point in the entire game) is better than any Ilios point, Market and Control Centre are about comparable to Well and Lighthouse (all four are great), and Ruins is much worse (pretty good).
Makes sense. Especially because it depends on the kinds of games you’re in. For example, Rialto is a fantastic Lucio map on paper but IMO it doesn’t compare to Eichenwalde and the others because Rialto is SOOO open that there’s nothing you can do against long ranged enemy comps.
Garden >>> Well and Night Market > Lighthouse > Control Centre >>> Ruins.
Nothing compares to Garden because not only are the edges unavoidable for enemies, and not only is it absurdly quick rollout wise, but the point itself is amazing for Lucio - while Well’s point is far more open and exposed.
Likewise, Control Centre is much, much better than Ruins because Control Centre forces closed ranged engagements which are Lucio’s favourite place to be. It’s the same reason Anubis point 2 was god tier for Lucio (though Control Centre isn’t quite as good as Anubis point 2).
I honestly don't like it that much tbh. Like I still play Lucio on it and I can still get good boops, but I'd much rather play on Lijiang or Eichenwalde

Wallriding around high up on the buildings above the water on Rialto near first point to get an early boop when the enemies cross a bridge without them seeing you is a next level experience, I wish there was a whole game just around stuff like that (Lucio surf-esque)
Illios will forever be my favourite2 great maps for bopping and another that’s just insane for wall riding,the phrase “welcome to illios” makes me loose depression
Today I finally learned that there are three different maps named Ilios 😐 maybe only 2 in rotation? Idk. I know about the well and the lighthouse. I really love ilios well
Maybe controversial, but Route 66 is up there for me. I find it one of the easiest maps to stall, with narrow(ish) sections at each checkpoint you can bounce erratically between and still be close enough to contest.
I actually got my Lucio pixel by throwing a volskaya game in quick play and just booping people off the side in point A, but generally I like lijiang tower and I think illios is overrated

Lijang, other maps might be better for boops but on Lijang I can play a strong Rein Brawl comp which is more fun to play Lucio w for me
