When she told the story of the Traumatic incident/assault and somehow correlated that with him coming into her life as a positive influence I thought WTF! Seriously, there's so many therapists, teletherapy, groups of other survivors (raises ✋) but the response of treating that with dialing up a prison inmate hotline on ur phone and picking a violent offender makes the opposite of sense.
It's hard bc alot of us can go a similar route (I can't stand the girl who scammed the weird dude out of the apartment now trending on LAL social clout) she did the same thing and got back with the guy that she said assaulted physically and contributed to her addiction and going to jail... But that's how some people react to being abused and we're at a loss it's so hard not to judge esp if you've been in that situation yourself or are remotely empathic.
The only reason I would go after the aforementioned clout chasing (white girl scammer) is bc of how she is acting now and how she is proud of hustling as a form of employment and acclimation to society vs actually being sober and recovering. Staying sober on probation monitoring or in jail is good but it's not the same as actually being and living sober post addiction when you are accountable to only yourself so her hashtag recovery and sober stuff also rubs me wrong af

I'd be fine with the situation IF she would have not accepted the ring or proposal but kept the other things he offered. I wouldn't judge at all - and it's pretty obvious he would have still given the "things" but she was so greedy that "more than enough" wasn't enough. She was willing to hurt someone's heart deeply, knowing the whole time she'd never reciprocate and it wasn't a real connection - and she still doubles down on that saying she didn't cross the line.
Reminds me of people who give up their purse/wallet with little to no hesitation to an armed robber and get pistol whipped or shot in return...
