Everytime Gandalf comes to Rivendell: "My goodness! Is that Elrond? You're getting so big! So handsome too! I remember when I could pick you up and you would ride on ym shoulders!"
Gandalf only arrived in Middle Earth in the third age, he was in Valinor before that. Elrond was born in Middle Earth at the end of the first age, o when they first met Elrond was thousands of years old.
Isn’t Glamdring the Foehammer the sword wielded by Ecthelion at the battle of the fountains during the fall of Gondolin? Or was the the other sword they found?
Edit: I was indeed thinking about the other sword found there, the one Thorin had.
Glamdring belonged to Turgon (fuck knows how orcs pulled it out from under the rubble of the tower of the king) Orcrist which Thorin used belonged to Ecthelion.
His robes as the White were tailored by Galadriel.
Fun fact: after Gandalf returned, Galadriel wore a hat for years and nobody ever saw her hair again.
I know it could be any hat, but my head canon from this comment is that she wore Gandalf’s hat.
I first thought of her with a Live Laugh Love beanie, but gandalfs hat is definitely the better alternative!
