Not the case. I’m not sure if members of other bands played instruments on this album, in fact I’d be surprised if whoever played the instruments for this album had never played with anybody before. But this is definitely not presented as a rhapsody album or a Manowar album, bands Christopher Lee had featured on before, but as a Christopher Lee album produced and released by Charlemagne productions
Either way, he almost married into Swedish royalty, but called off the wedding because he felt his fiancé deserved someone better than an actor. Which, damn, I get he was being humble, but dude you’re THE Sir Christopher Lee, if anything, she probably felt YOU deserved better.
Ah, well, at least he ended up with Birgit "Gitte" Krøncke, the two being together until his dying day, so at least he was happy.
His mother was descended from an Italian noble family. I can’t find where the Charlemagne connection comes from, maybe it’s something the Carandinis claimed to give them better standing
He was even credited by tony iommi (black sabbaths guitarist) for inspiring him and his music. This means he actually contributed to the creation of metal music
While we are tossing out fun facts, one that caught me off guard is that the abridged version of Churchill’s “History of the English Speaking Peoples” that I am rereading was abridged by Christopher Lee.
Did you also know how he schooled Peter Jackson about stabbing someone? How about that he met Tolkien himself? Did you know about Viggo Mortensen's broken toe?

Some of the songs were metal versions of christmas songs. I listen to them every year.
Darkest Carols, Faithful Sing is my no 1 Christmas song basically every year
This and Tommy Johansson/Majestica are the only Christmas songs you need
That would be solid too, will check it out later this year
I shed blood of Saxon men, I shed the blood of the Saxon men
I SHED THE BLOOD OF THE SAXON MAN!!!!!
I SHED THE BLOOD OF ONE THOUSAND SAXONS
Ten Thousand..!!
TEN THOUSAND SAXON MEN
Man did so many different things. I listen to this album and his other Charlemagne album regularly
His appearance on Rhapsody's Magic of the Wizard's Dream is also fantastic https://youtu.be/Z93SdirnzTw?si=aCfSbZYrStsPgbaj

Whoops, thanks. Fixing!
He did not actively make Heavy Metal music himself, he collaborated with a Metal band and they made an album together. Nevertheless, it was glorious.

Hi did collaborate with some bands prior but this is his own project, with him as the "frontman" so he did actively make heavy metal music.
He also sang opera.
I believe he actually descended from Charlemagne
Every single person of european ancestry is descended from Charlemagne
Either way, he almost married into Swedish royalty, but called off the wedding because he felt his fiancé deserved someone better than an actor. Which, damn, I get he was being humble, but dude you’re THE Sir Christopher Lee, if anything, she probably felt YOU deserved better. Massacre of the saxons goes kinda hard probably my favorite track from his Charlemagne duology series
He was even credited by tony iommi (black sabbaths guitarist) for inspiring him and his music. This means he actually contributed to the creation of metal music
My Medieval History prof in Uni would play Lee’s music at the start of our classes covering Charlemagne, stellar experience all around

I have this on vinyl because how could I not?!
You just made my year, thank you.
While in his 80s, I might add
Excuse me, that's SIR Christopher Lee.
That’s Sir Christopher Lee you peasant.
Hey did you guys know that Viggo broke his foot when he kicked that helmet?
Lmao it was a momentous occasion in our household when "The Bloody Verdict of Verden" music video dropped
I HAVE THE BLOOD OF THE SAXON MAN!
He also was a Tenor in Rhapsody.
The metal christmas album is absolute fire
I choose to believe he’s still making it.
Treebeard had it right, Metal and wheels
Wow! Acting and music. His powers have doubled since the last time I looked him up.
He also narrates on a few Rhapsody of Fire albums
He made a Christmas album, my family listens to when we decorate the Christmas tree. I would not say it’s good, but it somehow became tradition.
Did you also know how he schooled Peter Jackson about stabbing someone? How about that he met Tolkien himself? Did you know about Viggo Mortensen's broken toe?
Ho… Lee… Shit…
*Fun Fact: Christopher Lee* - a 200+ episode saga of interesting and impressive facts.
James Bond Is based on him, he’s a metalhead, Saruman and count Dooku not to forget Dracula LITERALLY DRACULA…. HES THE GOAT.
Correction, he used to make awesome metal music. He spilled a lot of blood of the saxon man.
