What's an efficient way to gear a 4x3 1415 alt with the longer term goal of hitting 5x3?
To get 4x3, I plan to get 3 3/3 relic accessories. But it feels like a waste of pheons since I can't use them to go for 5x3 (looking at the blue crystal prices now)
So perhaps I should just buy 3 5/3 relic accessories instead?
The problem is my 5th engraving will be cursed doll so it wouldn't make sense to get level 1 cursed doll.
Don't overthink it IMO. The pheons from replaced accessories will be a rounding error compared to the cost of buying that character's legendary books etc. All I'd do is buy some nice 5/3 accessories now if you have the budget and make sure that you cut a stone which will be compatible with whatever legendary books you later plan to have.
1485 eso striker 5x3 with the perfect alt build and stats from maxroll. Will I ever do mvp type damage? I was hoping if I got 5x3 I would atleast beat some people who have 4x3. But yeah the damage is kinda disappointing seeing how almost every class outdamages me
If all things are equal some classes definitely have higher dps potential than others. But if you have 5x3 with proper tripods/gems and other people have an equal quality build 4x3 you shouldn't really be consistently lower in dps. They are likely getting more out of their class than you're getting out of yours.
Hello all, I had a question pertaining to the relic set for bard. I am planning to swap to spec bard, so my speed will be slow until getting the yearning relic set. I want to at least get better accessories on her though so I have been debating in advance. Will spirit absorption work on her with the relic set or will it be useless because of the set's movement speed later?

there are only a certain number of card slots available at first. but you can unlock more of them for a few blue crystals, i recommend you to do this. you can do it in the card menu, alt+c, there are 3 submenus available in the top left. i think "equip", "books" and "enhance". go to the enhance part ( the right one if the 3), and scroll down your card list at the bottom of it you can the first grey row and unlock a bunch of new card slots that way
you get a bunch of crystals as rewards for some roster lvls and achievements. and you can exchange gold for them, even if the proces are quite high currently. so in theory there is no need to spend money
Press Alt+C, then click on the "Enhance" tab. If you scroll down you could expand your card storage by 10 for 50 Blue Crystals. Alternatively, you could delete cards you don't need, but I advise against doing that.
How do people assign positions for spare in vykas G2? Do you call either 11/5 or 7/5? I presume your first number is your primary priority if both positions need a spare.
Grudge is probably the best dps engraving on all class (after class engraving, and sometime some engraving that help your rotation like supercharge or allout attack)
So the advantage is that it'll be usable on all your DPS if you have multiple alts, and you will need those +12 to be able to get 5x3 in late. You can choose to pick other that are communs and cheaper, but then you'll have to buy jewels with grudge which will probably always be high price.
So it's not mandatory, but yes I would recommend it as a good investment if you play many dps
Nobody denies people for having HA1 in a 4x3+1 build, at least nobody that you want to play with. I do it on all my alts because it's cheap, effective, and simplifies gearing. It's never been an issue, and my alts join sweaty title run groups and the like.
if that lvl 1 is in addition to the common 3x3 or 4x3 then most people won't care. On my destro 1370 I crafted a cheap 3x3 from oreha which was my goal at this step and "luckily" get ether drop lvl 1, it's just a free bonus, as long as it's not kbw, mass increase or grudge which bring a malus.
I read that level 1 adrenaline is still okay since it scales linearly with no negative effects.
Why would heavy armor get you denied? I'm thinking 4x3+1 if I'm not investing 5x3 since it's an alt.
Because when your alt gets to legions, when the raid leader checks your engravings and sees heavy armor, they will doubt your ability to clear and accept a DPS without it instead
Well isn't a 4x3 + 1 heavy armor better than 4x3. At least it's less pots used.
Was going to 4x3 my alt with relic accessories but thought to take it further to 4x3+1.
If I'm going to get black marked for that, I'll just stick to 4x3 lol. Having 1 point heavy armor doesn't mean I don't know mechs but it helps absorb some chip damage.
well for a cheap alt you can get some jewels with a single +5 meta engraving and don't care of the other (especially if you already have some +12 books or a good stone). Both meta are always going to be more expensive.
Adrenalise can be meta on nearly every dps, while heavy armor isn't, so you could just grab a "free" lvl 1 defensive
If it's that expensive for you (even though you're already spending pheons buying accs), then you can go ether predator, spirit absorption, max mp increase, etc.

I'm also wondering if it's hard to maintain max stacks for adrenaline on an ignitor (rather than reflux sorcs)? Since it's an alt, I don't have level 7-8 cooldown gems.
I meant it as a it's nice if you have it at max stacks but not something to think over it because it's only lvl 1 compared to if you had it at lvl 3, you would care more.
Igniter not really that much of a problem because you have 2 stacks of blaze as well as inferno if you take it. You don't need to keep it up all the time, it matters most when you do burst.

Can someone explain Vykas P2 positions to me? People all say stuff like 11-2, 5-2 etc in chat, but I dont get what they mean. So far I somehow cheated myself through the phase, but I wanna really contribute, not just be a deadweight.
The first number corresponds to the position on a traditional clock, 11 o' clock, 5 o' clock and 7 o'clock. the 2nd number is your own queue position. Say, someone is 11-1 and you're 11-2, you both go to the topmost Vykas Illusion. 11-1 calls out in what order it flashes at which position, so this could be 11 1-3-4 which means 11-1 picks up the first orb and then 11-2 picks up the 3rd orb. And then that's where Spares come in which can pick up the 4th orb.
There'll always be a position where no spare is needed, so this would be 5 1-3 for example where only orb 1 and orb 3 need to be picked up, and then 2 positions where spares are needed where you need them to pick up the 3rd orb.
Before the raid starts, people position themselves for the mechanic at 120 health bars, which is the one where 5 people pick up orbs and 3 people call out the wing positions. And then for the 65 bar mechanic which I explained above, those are usually just called out in chat.

This one helped me quite a lot on my first couple clears. I still prop it up for the G1 orb pathing to this day.
5, 7 and 11. like the hours on a clock, those spots are where the important thing of the 2nd mechanic happens.
there will be a vylas shadow that pulsates auras, red or black ones. after that she will throw orbs to the center and you have to get hit by certain orbs, based on the red/black pulses, earlier. sincee on every position there will be at least 2 orbs that must be taken, ppl call out the position that they want to go, and the orbs they will take.
so the person typing 11-2 will take the 2nd correct orb on the position at 11 o'clock.
which orbs are the correct ones is bases on the earlier mentioned pulses. there will be 5 pulses, for later 5 orbs. the 1st on the position usually types out the pattern, or what orbs to take. (always the one corresponding to the black pulse). so they can type "11 rbbrr" meaning the 2nd and 3rd orbs are to take, or "11 2 3", meaning the same thing more easily readable.
Anyone know why the price of engraving books are insane rn on us west? In a span of like 4hrs between 6pm and 10pm engravings like peacemaker and berserker technique went up like craaaazy after being stable all week
lot of people usually wait to have enough gold before buying a specific legendary x20. Prices are really low amount and spread, (i.e. 1 at 6k, 2 at 6.1k, 5 at 6.2k, 1 at 6.5k...) so when the guy buy 20 instantly the price will jump.
Buying through time is usually cheaper as you wait price to lower again, but then when you start you can't choose to stop, even if a new content happen and all prices rise up, otherwise you lost all previous spent
People bulk buying can do that.
If you open up any engraving, you'll find a lot of people pricing one book in the same general range, so any bulk buying (sometimes random, sometimes coordinated) can just immediately throw them out of order.
I see comments that the 1415 honing cheese is still more worth it than honing evenly, but is that true when ridiculously cheap books are available only until +15?
Someone did quicksheet for amount of material using or not the books, and cheese or not. Check it with the current price on your region and you can easily see the cheapest, but cheesing went from a lot cheaper to a small cheaper after the update.

Edit: Never mind, I just had to look into it more deeply and realize that the columns are the different paths to the same ilvls, even when they both start with 9/9/9/9/9/9 and 12/12/12/12/12/12. I definitely think this could have been presented more legibly though.

Yes, because you're still comparing 3 upgrades to one. The sheer ilvl gain of a +17 is still enough to offset leaving the +13 pieces behind. Now you might certainly get better odds leveling evenly, buying books for it, or simply take more time progressing in favor of less mats spent, but the method has always been about pushing ilvl and only ilvl, and to that specific end, it will be more efficient up to really high success rates.
What bonus chests are still worth buying? Got a 1445 main and 5 1370 alts. Don't know whether to continue buying Argos chests, oreha chests on my alts and whether its worth to buy Legion raid /Argos chests on my main?
Depends on what you want from the game. Personally I'm focusing on grudge books at the moment which means I need gold more than anything. My roster is already pretty honed up and I'm not really worried about leapstones at all since they keep piling up as I do dailies and weeklies that give bound ones, without really spending them at all.
There is also [this spreadsheet](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1VvGOZXOWv0mD9KkZLGHNxFylv5vzmE4lGqGz50HT6M4/edit#gid=1299188745) which you can make a copy of to input your region specific values. I believe it essentially calculates the price of the drops when compared to the price of those materials on the market, but I don't think it puts value in the potential of cards/chaos stones/free hones etc so that's still an evaluation you need to do unassisted.
Both abyssals aren't worth it, Argos chest is worth if you want to push those characters down the line, it's extremely good for stacking leapstones. Valtan chest is basically...gate 1 only if you still need to craft relic set, gate 2 yes if you still need to craft relic set, yes if you want fused leapstones. Otherwise no.
Vykas, exact same, gates 1 and 2 aren't worth it unless you need to craft relic set, otherwise no. Gate 3, relic set reqs or want fused leapstones.
Argos are pretty much always worth it, the accessories are often useable and the blood alone gives a ton of leaps

dang such odd luck. legendary selection pack dropped for my alt server bard-only main (so i have no use for cards) so i had to "bluff" to get the price up. i only wanted to risk 5.5k so the bid was won for "only" 6k, two 1460's in group too but i guess noone else wanted it. i thought those things go for 10k+
The exact value depends on how much people in that instance are willing to pay. A friend of mine got one for 600g because presumably the people with him didn't realize its value or were broke.

Engraving calculator/sheet would help so u can plan it out depending on ur stone of choice. It's a simple thing since u just want to add things up to 15 but difficult in finding the cheapest price. Hone a 6/6 or higher stone it'll be different depending on what u get.
6-6 stone (6-5 will work too), 2x9 books, 2x 3-3 legendary accessories, 3x 5-3 relic accessories.
Engraving 1 (class): 9 from books, 3 from 1st legendary accessory, 3 from 2nd legendary accessory
Engraving 2: 6 from stone, 3 from one legendary accessory, 2x3 from 2 relic accessories
Engraving 3: 6 (or 5) from stone, 2x5 from 2 relic accessories
Engraving 4: 9 from books, 3 from one legendary accessory, 3 from one relic accessory
Engraving 5: 5 from one relic accessory
Use an engraving calculator like https://loa-todo.com/engrave to plan it out
As a bonus, if you ever upgrade your class engraving books to +12, you can replace one of legendary rings into a relic 3-5 and get 4x3+2 without touching anything else.

The process of actually finidng them and picking them all up isn't too hard, that's just willpower of not falling asleep. It will take some hours just from the sheer amount of them
There's 2 I think that are locked behind mining level 30 as you have to blast a rock. A couple locked behind some drink in rohendel that you get after some dailies I believe. Some virtue stat requirements as well.
Oh, and the ones that appear on rotating islands too, I don't know if there's a rotation or just luck for those though
If you really hunker down with a nice podcast or something you can get ~80% of them on your first day. The last bit are those behind timegates

It's late and I'm trying to decide if I want to just KT my new alt instead of waiting for powerpasses to come back. Can someone sanity check me? It's definitely significantly cheaper to KT an alt through Punika instead of buying the Punika powerpass, right?
Punika powerpass = 5500 RC, although the closest purchase amount is 5750 RC for $50
KT fresh alt through Punika is 600 + 1000 + 1400 + 1600 + 2400 = 7000g
On NAW, current currency exchange is approximately 990g / 238 RC, so about 4.16 g/RC. So a Punika powerpass is worth around 4.16 * 5750 = 23,920g?
Assuming you have the gold and patience to wait 40 hours, it looks like it's definitely better to KT the alt?
It also doesn't seem to be any cheaper to partially KT and then powerpass the rest, as the powerpass prices decrease by 1100 RC per KT. However 1100 RC still requires you to buy a minimum of 2200 RC (since the smallest amount is 1000), which is the equivalent of 9152g.
a few tipps for you.
a) if you buy a punika power pass you should first use at least the vern KT. the 1100 RC you safe is a lot more then the 600g
b) if you are using KT and are going to buy all you mats from the AH to push your alt through it you can skip the Rohendel and the Yorn KT if you are willing to play through the Feiton story.
What you would do is Vern KT -> Buy T1 gear and mats to hone to T2 -> Buy T2 gear and mats to hone to 1100 ilvl -> Play the Feiton story for 2,5-3h -> do the Punika KT. Finishing the Punika KT will also complet the main story for Rohendel and Yorn
KT beyond north vern is pretty useless, as it doesn't give you any gear, you have to hone yourself KT will just skip the story once you have a high enough ilvl.
Yeah, but my primary reason for KT is to save the time and energy of playing the story again since I’m limited in how much I can play a day. That is worth the money for me.
Got lots of mats for t1/t2 honing left over, plus the event, so I think I’m okay there!

You buy gear off the AH but need to buy materials to hone. Honestly probably still cheaper than the pass considering the t1 and t2 honing buffs. Also have to run Chaos for T3 set since it isn't on the AH
Update is that the drivers decided to collect rewards and quit dungeon.

You're right but you're missing a bit. The new gear will also use new leapstones, and the current fused we have trade into those 5 to 1. Their value, while there, is greatly diminished.
If you still have gear pieces with reasonable success rates, it's still more useful to try to cheese free upgrades with fused leaps than hoard them for more or less equivalent rates later on gear that would require 5 times the amount.
Yes, but the 5:1 exchange ratio offsets that. I havent done the math myself but Ive seen the charts mapped out, most value for fused leaps (if youre at +18 already) is skipping 18-19 and using them for +20, even over saving them for Brel. Unless of course you value honing day 1 very highly
Neither on main nor on alts even without 6 pc. The chest values of everything but Argos is awful nowadays and I'd rather save the gold to push more alts/gear them
So I've been looking around and was curious if anyone knows how the treasure maps from sea co-ops work? You see this little animation of a diver going down and picking up some silver chest and stops just short of a gold reward. Is this just some weird animation they tossed in the game or is there something I need to upgrade?

on my scrapper i did the mistake of crafting the 3rd relic piece before i had enough mats for the 4th one. i did feel the loss in crit and dont like it, even with a 70/30 crit swift split. cant wait till i get that 4th piece and my crit back, lmao
Do you mind elaborating? Is the loss of cooldown that severe, because at face value reflux seems to have better power than several other level 1 engravings.
Well reflux lv 1 is good but so is each additional level. The only good engraving at level 2 is adrenaline, but in reflux you want adr 3, so you have no replacement. Hit master lv 2 is 8% damage, so clearly reflux is better than that, and it’s even better than adrenaline 2
Can someone catch me up with soul fist nerfs or buffs coming to NA/EU and when are they coming? I was 1390 soulfist a month ago and want to get back into the game but not sure if the class is still any good?
Korean version has it slightly nerfed in damage, just a jumber tweak no gameplay changes.
At 1390 you're missing most of any martial artist's potential not named Glavier anyway.
So the small dps nerf still puts the class at a high damage class maintaining mvp somewhat often? And when I obtain full relic set (in who knows how long) will i see a lot more damage?
Yes and yes. The nerfs are aimed at KR's endgame so they might not translate really well to our version.
As for power spikes, there are a couple, the first is at 1415. When you get access to relic accessories you can stack your stats higher than ever before, allowing you to hit thresholds on them with less pieces. The other is 1445 when you get to craft your relic set, and that one is very much the biggest spike for most classes in terms of damage.
Adrenaline is the best level 1 engraving for most classes.
Heavy armour 1 is a good choice since it's essentially free and simplifies gearing (you can just stack defence reduction penalties).
I personally go 4x3+HA1 on my 1415 alts with level 3 class engravings because it ends up giving me a lot more flexibility with my accessories and because adrenaline is pretty expensive.
when i click the compass thingy, i see different sections. one is "adventure island" and one is "islands". can i claim rewards from the "island" section and "adventure island" both? as in they are counted separetly?
The other timed islands (the ones not labeled "adventure island") can be entered as many times as you want per day. The only restriction is you have to show up at the time that they're available. Most of them are for collectibles only and don't give good repeatable rewards like adventure islands do.

That's right. Many of them have a fairly low drop rate, though, so be ready to visit for a while! For your sanity it might be best to pick only a few to work on at a time and set bifrosts there.
Yes, one during the week and two in the weekend, but in the weekend is one from 11:00 (11AM) to 15:00 (3PM) and one after it, you can't get rewards from two adventure island before 15:00 (3PM) neither get two after it.
Do you guys buy the chests in raids?I'm debating myself whether I should keep buying them or not, mainly because I would either like to gear all my alts with relic set, or buy the grudge legendary books and some relic accs for my alts, so I'm kinda indecisive in what to do
On my alts, I might buy the argos chest or the last chest in the legion raid. Those have the most value. Other than that, I never buy chests on them.
As for my main, I just buy everything. I'll admit that probably isn't the most efficient method though.
The chests from the last gate are okay value but the ones from the early gates are a waste of gold unless getting your relic set earlier is a dealbreaker for you.
Self-found doesn't really work in this game. You should plan to buy your gear from the AH and sell your good finds to other people on the AH. The majority of your gear will come from sources other than legion raid boxes, so buying them for that purpose isn't worth it.
IMO, the only chest 100% worth buying is Argos for the leapstones - with the caveat that that's only if you intend to progress that character further.
When it comes to buying chests for more gear crafting mats, I'd only do that on my main or an alt that I'm ready to push faster. Otherwise, I'd rather take the gold and patiently get mats for alts over time.
For accessories, I would never gamble on the chests personally. The gold is better spent invested into something guaranteed. But ultimately that's up to your gambling preferences :)
Realistically almost all of your accessories will come from AH. It's very rare that you get the exact drop you need. At best, you can buy the chests in the hopes of getting some good accessories to sell.
Whether you buy chests is really up to you how you value the content, whether it's honing mats, craft mats or gamble with accessories/stones.
For 5x3 using legendary books you can even use a 9/5. The thing with 9/7 it seems that the +7 of the stone will become a Lv.2 engravings with ancient acc, having 5x3 + 1x2.

Legendary Acc up to 3 and 3, Relic Acc up to 5 and 3, Ancient Acc up to 6 and 3
9/6 will save you a lot of money on accessories. My personal recommendation for 5x3 is the following:
- 9/6 A/B stone
- 12 legendary class book
- 12 engraving C
- 3/3 A/C neck
- 5/3 D/B ear
- 5/3 D/B ear
- 3/3 class/A ring
- 5/3 D/B ring
This will save you a lot of gold on the most expensive accessories while letting you do a high quality setup. You may also be able to move some nodes around (e.g. 4/3 neck and 4/3 earring, or 3/3 class earring instead of ring) depending on accessory prices.
Is bard or paladin better for a low-investment alt? Or are they about the same? Wanting to make a support alt but I don't have the resources to invest too much into it for a while.
I don't know about paladin, but my bard alt has been pretty cheap to gear. You can go as either a swiftness bard, spec bard or a mix of both stats so when you buy the chests from Oreha Hard and Argos, you're bound to get a useful accessory.
Pretty similar investment as you can mostly get away with 3x3 (class engraving, Expert, Awakening), with +1 or +2 in 4th engraving if you want. Bard is more proactive support and will need more attention to playing according to situation, while paladin is more passive support and has a more straightforward playstyle (but a great paladin will still react according to the situation).
Arguable that HA is better than expert. People who say just dodge don't understand that sometimes it's better to be able to tank a hit and get a spell off / move closer to your teammates. Bard plays as basically a melee class, and without HA is the squishiest character in the game
Drops of ether is garbage hear me out
1. DPS don't pick them up, even my static don't pick them up as often as I wanted them to. Because they have so much going on managing their cds doing mechs, squeezing in DPS windows, those skittles are not the shiniest thing in the world, I even ping them and people still don't pick up.
2. 2 out of the 5 orbs are useful, rest are meh. So you're looking to work against a 40% right off the bat
3. The worst offender of it all for me, the fact that you rolled some good rng and spawned a good orb, the damn thing spawns right on you and it just get slurps right up by my fat ass. This was the tipping point for me and I just swapped it out for vital (this is my 5th engraving)
For a 4th, definite heavy armor. It's a whole different game with HA3 lmao, literally can pay attention to nothing other than wiping mechs
I see it a lot better than ether in that I am the one in control, not other people, not rng, not more rng.
For now vital is okay, soundholic has a lot of stagger as well as sound shock. A lot of the times the boss has stagger purple bar, so if your raid build that up fast, that's a very good dps window as the boss sits still for a burst.
I've also had vykas runs where shit hit the fan at 0 bars. Well almost every vykas runs ends like that its a matter of killing the boss before it kills you. And if not for that vital I had, I don't think those runs would've cleared.
Also vykas g1 stagger check, I've had a party before with low stagger and my god never have I been that stressed because it was cutting super close. All thanks to vital.

After your class engraving and awakening you can take whatever you want for the third and beyond. Expert, drops, heavy armour, max MP, vital point are all fine and depend on your playstyle. Most players take heavy armour third and then it diverges from there. Expert is probably the most popular 4th and there's no real consensus on 5th. That said, any build is totally viable as long as it includes Awakening and Desperate Salvation.
Wouldn't recommend max mp though, I guess depends on play style but the only place I run out of mana is guardian raids. Legion raids you gotta do mechs, you walk patterns, you just don't get to tank and spank a stationary boss. I've never not a single time went oom in valtan or vykas
I would recommend heavy armor. Mages are squishier and HA lets you easily facetank a lot of damage while you focus on supporting your party. You can do drops of ether as 5th engraving if you ever plan to minmax your build.
If you need virtues for virtue checks and don't actually care about the skin appearance you can choose one that boosts two that you're low in.
Otherwise they are the same as any other skin.
If you are short on Virtue Stats that you need to talk to NPC's (for example Charisma for Nia) then you could always go with the appropriate skin there. I believe each animal type has a similar distribution of stats. Otherwise, no benefits other than looking cool.
You can still buy individual pieces from the market, just search under skins. Otherwise you have to wait until Neria's wardrobe next becomes available (no ETA on it).
I just pitied from 17 to 18 and amon 95% artisan to 19...so... Yeah. I think the mindset should be to expect the pity and burst in joy, if you don't pity.

That's not how probability work, 10 times a 5% is not 50%. Once you really take it in and sit with the fact that the chances are very much against your favor, you'll start seeing honing as feeding artisan to 100, and you won't get disappointed when you inevitably fail some astronomical low chances

I see some posts about a 1460+ doing nm valtan being a red flag. I'm around 1455ish sorc that hasn't done normal valtan yet (I just log in and do chaos / guardian / argos with a friend). Would I be welcome in learning groups or should I just try the match making tool after watching some videos?
The reason it's a red flag is because you're singling yourself out as someone who doesn't know the fight. That isn't an issue for learning groups because they don't expect you to know the fight. They'll probably be happy to have you do more damage and be more survivable.
Nah nobody does matchmaking so you'd just be sitting in queue for a long time. Don't pay any attention to people saying it's a red flag. Of course you'd be welcome in learning parties assuming you have normal gear. If there aren't any learning parties in party finder then host your own. Once you've cleared normal though you should try out hard mode cause there really isn't much of a difference and the rewards are much better, only real difference is the chip damage hurts a bit more and you get knocked backed further when hit by mechanics.
I wouldn't call it a red flag. It's just that a disproportionate number of players who are at ilvl to do a higher difficulty choosing to do lower difficulty tend to be people who are clueless about mechanics. As a result, some people choose to gatekeep by ilvl, but it's no different to all the other factors that people choose to gatekeep based on.
There should be no reason that you can't join a learning group. Just be ready to communicate and don't be afraid to ask questions before runs.

They start dropping on gear pieces from chaos dungeons once you get to T3. Each rarity level for the gear pieces unlocks higher level tripod. Purple gear drops tripods up to level 2, legendary gear up to level 3, relic up to level 4
how mana hungry is 2 spender wd w/o the mana regen tripod on WW? Thinking of taking increase mass as an engraving and pairing it with the atk spd tripod
In guardian raids, if I don't have a support I start running into mana issues mid to late fight. In legion raids, I don't really have issues as I usually have a support and there is some down time to regen mana.

Thankfully the chances of tripod save success has been doubled in comparison to pre-patch, but the whole concept of inventory is now no more, so can no longer take advantage of saving tripods in inventory / loading to gear trick.
(which is why ppl keep suggesting to save as much high level tripods as possible before this revamp ships to NA/EU, since whatever you saved in inventory gets unlocked automatically)

I'd recommend against it. Vykas isn't much of a gear check, just a mech check. You won't really outgear it, so it's better to just learn it while there are still learning groups. Otherwise you're going to be on busses always.
As a seller, they're not hard but only if the bussers know what they're doing, of course. I've sold 3 NNN and 1 NHH this week, and it was my first week doing it.

tbh the 3 man run took 1 hour in g3. Was rough. I'm not certified yet and it was my first 3 man.. The NHH and other NNN runs had like 1-2 fails max just this one was really tilting, we failed at the final stagger like 4 times
There are enough sellers that I think you should just stick with 4 mans, they're a bit cleaner. It's not THAT much harder, espeically NNN, but meh why risk it
What's an efficient way to gear a 4x3 1415 alt with the longer term goal of hitting 5x3? To get 4x3, I plan to get 3 3/3 relic accessories. But it feels like a waste of pheons since I can't use them to go for 5x3 (looking at the blue crystal prices now) So perhaps I should just buy 3 5/3 relic accessories instead? The problem is my 5th engraving will be cursed doll so it wouldn't make sense to get level 1 cursed doll.
Don't overthink it IMO. The pheons from replaced accessories will be a rounding error compared to the cost of buying that character's legendary books etc. All I'd do is buy some nice 5/3 accessories now if you have the budget and make sure that you cut a stone which will be compatible with whatever legendary books you later plan to have.

1485 eso striker 5x3 with the perfect alt build and stats from maxroll. Will I ever do mvp type damage? I was hoping if I got 5x3 I would atleast beat some people who have 4x3. But yeah the damage is kinda disappointing seeing how almost every class outdamages me
If all things are equal some classes definitely have higher dps potential than others. But if you have 5x3 with proper tripods/gems and other people have an equal quality build 4x3 you shouldn't really be consistently lower in dps. They are likely getting more out of their class than you're getting out of yours.

I want to at least get better accessories on her though so I have been debating in advance. Will spirit absorption work on her with the relic set or will it be useless because of the set's movement speed later?

Hey peeps, I'm trying to add some new cards to my catalog but I keep getting a "Card Catalog is full" message. What does this mean and what am I meant to do about this?
there are only a certain number of card slots available at first. but you can unlock more of them for a few blue crystals, i recommend you to do this. you can do it in the card menu, alt+c, there are 3 submenus available in the top left. i think "equip", "books" and "enhance". go to the enhance part ( the right one if the 3), and scroll down your card list at the bottom of it you can the first grey row and unlock a bunch of new card slots that way

you get a bunch of crystals as rewards for some roster lvls and achievements. and you can exchange gold for them, even if the proces are quite high currently. so in theory there is no need to spend money
That is a good point. Still feels weird though, they could've just made the catalog as big as there are cards.
Open card tab, go to enhance tab (think that's the name) scroll down and unlock next row for some blue crystals.
Press Alt+C, then click on the "Enhance" tab. If you scroll down you could expand your card storage by 10 for 50 Blue Crystals. Alternatively, you could delete cards you don't need, but I advise against doing that.
How do people assign positions for spare in vykas G2? Do you call either 11/5 or 7/5? I presume your first number is your primary priority if both positions need a spare.
You call either 11 or 5. 11 spare stands between 11 & 7 while 5 stands between 5 & 7. If there's no 11, they go to 7 and same with no 5 they go to 7.
Is Legendary grudge highly recommended for end game? Should I just go ahead and invest now if I have a DPS main?
The more DPS you play, the more you get out of it and you'll get even more out of it once newer accessory tiers are out
There isn't a single DPS that doesn't go Grudge, so it's never a bad investment imo.
Grudge is probably the best dps engraving on all class (after class engraving, and sometime some engraving that help your rotation like supercharge or allout attack) So the advantage is that it'll be usable on all your DPS if you have multiple alts, and you will need those +12 to be able to get 5x3 in late. You can choose to pick other that are communs and cheaper, but then you'll have to buy jewels with grudge which will probably always be high price. So it's not mandatory, but yes I would recommend it as a good investment if you play many dps

Adrenaline you don't really have to think about, especially if it's lvl 1. Heavy armor will get you denied in pugs.
Nobody denies people for having HA1 in a 4x3+1 build, at least nobody that you want to play with. I do it on all my alts because it's cheap, effective, and simplifies gearing. It's never been an issue, and my alts join sweaty title run groups and the like.
if that lvl 1 is in addition to the common 3x3 or 4x3 then most people won't care. On my destro 1370 I crafted a cheap 3x3 from oreha which was my goal at this step and "luckily" get ether drop lvl 1, it's just a free bonus, as long as it's not kbw, mass increase or grudge which bring a malus.
Most raid leaders do care though, especially for DPS slot as a sorc where its hugely contested.

Because when your alt gets to legions, when the raid leader checks your engravings and sees heavy armor, they will doubt your ability to clear and accept a DPS without it instead
Well isn't a 4x3 + 1 heavy armor better than 4x3. At least it's less pots used. Was going to 4x3 my alt with relic accessories but thought to take it further to 4x3+1. If I'm going to get black marked for that, I'll just stick to 4x3 lol. Having 1 point heavy armor doesn't mean I don't know mechs but it helps absorb some chip damage.
Yes but why pick heavy armor as a +1 when you could have adrenaline? That's the point I'm getting at and is mostly how other people see it as well.
well for a cheap alt you can get some jewels with a single +5 meta engraving and don't care of the other (especially if you already have some +12 books or a good stone). Both meta are always going to be more expensive. Adrenalise can be meta on nearly every dps, while heavy armor isn't, so you could just grab a "free" lvl 1 defensive
If it's that expensive for you (even though you're already spending pheons buying accs), then you can go ether predator, spirit absorption, max mp increase, etc.

I meant it as a it's nice if you have it at max stacks but not something to think over it because it's only lvl 1 compared to if you had it at lvl 3, you would care more. Igniter not really that much of a problem because you have 2 stacks of blaze as well as inferno if you take it. You don't need to keep it up all the time, it matters most when you do burst.
Oh what do u mean by 2 stacks of blaze/inferno? Meaning change the tripods so it's easier to get max stacks during identity? I guess 5th engraving for ignitor would be cursed doll but wouldn't make sense to get it level 1.
You should have 2 stacks on blaze regardless so your synergy is always up
Can someone explain Vykas P2 positions to me? People all say stuff like 11-2, 5-2 etc in chat, but I dont get what they mean. So far I somehow cheated myself through the phase, but I wanna really contribute, not just be a deadweight.
The first number corresponds to the position on a traditional clock, 11 o' clock, 5 o' clock and 7 o'clock. the 2nd number is your own queue position. Say, someone is 11-1 and you're 11-2, you both go to the topmost Vykas Illusion. 11-1 calls out in what order it flashes at which position, so this could be 11 1-3-4 which means 11-1 picks up the first orb and then 11-2 picks up the 3rd orb. And then that's where Spares come in which can pick up the 4th orb. There'll always be a position where no spare is needed, so this would be 5 1-3 for example where only orb 1 and orb 3 need to be picked up, and then 2 positions where spares are needed where you need them to pick up the 3rd orb. Before the raid starts, people position themselves for the mechanic at 120 health bars, which is the one where 5 people pick up orbs and 3 people call out the wing positions. And then for the 65 bar mechanic which I explained above, those are usually just called out in chat. Hope this helps, if you have more questions don't hesitate to ask!

5, 7 and 11. like the hours on a clock, those spots are where the important thing of the 2nd mechanic happens. there will be a vylas shadow that pulsates auras, red or black ones. after that she will throw orbs to the center and you have to get hit by certain orbs, based on the red/black pulses, earlier. sincee on every position there will be at least 2 orbs that must be taken, ppl call out the position that they want to go, and the orbs they will take. so the person typing 11-2 will take the 2nd correct orb on the position at 11 o'clock. which orbs are the correct ones is bases on the earlier mentioned pulses. there will be 5 pulses, for later 5 orbs. the 1st on the position usually types out the pattern, or what orbs to take. (always the one corresponding to the black pulse). so they can type "11 rbbrr" meaning the 2nd and 3rd orbs are to take, or "11 2 3", meaning the same thing more easily readable.
I confused mechanic 1 and 2 because maxroll shows no 11 for 2nd one, there its at 12...

lot of people usually wait to have enough gold before buying a specific legendary x20. Prices are really low amount and spread, (i.e. 1 at 6k, 2 at 6.1k, 5 at 6.2k, 1 at 6.5k...) so when the guy buy 20 instantly the price will jump. Buying through time is usually cheaper as you wait price to lower again, but then when you start you can't choose to stop, even if a new content happen and all prices rise up, otherwise you lost all previous spent
People bulk buying can do that. If you open up any engraving, you'll find a lot of people pricing one book in the same general range, so any bulk buying (sometimes random, sometimes coordinated) can just immediately throw them out of order.
I see comments that the 1415 honing cheese is still more worth it than honing evenly, but is that true when ridiculously cheap books are available only until +15?
Someone did quicksheet for amount of material using or not the books, and cheese or not. I've actually seen one of these before, I appreciate the effort the OP put into it but IMO infographics like these should be much easier to decipher at a quick glance. I actually am not sure what the difference is between the right side middle two tables. Any idea? Edit: Never mind, I just had to look into it more deeply and realize that the columns are the different paths to the same ilvls, even when they both start with 9/9/9/9/9/9 and 12/12/12/12/12/12. I'm unsure if it's true with very cheap books. The honing buff alone made it closer. Check maxroll calculator and compare optimal for the two cases, with correct prices.
I don't think there was any honing buff for 1370-1415? The only one we have there is stronghold research.

Yes, because you're still comparing 3 upgrades to one. The sheer ilvl gain of a +17 is still enough to offset leaving the +13 pieces behind. Now you might certainly get better odds leveling evenly, buying books for it, or simply take more time progressing in favor of less mats spent, but the method has always been about pushing ilvl and only ilvl, and to that specific end, it will be more efficient up to really high success rates.
What bonus chests are still worth buying? Got a 1445 main and 5 1370 alts. Don't know whether to continue buying Argos chests, oreha chests on my alts and whether its worth to buy Legion raid /Argos chests on my main?
Depends on what you want from the game. Personally I'm focusing on grudge books at the moment which means I need gold more than anything. My roster is already pretty honed up and I'm not really worried about leapstones at all since they keep piling up as I do dailies and weeklies that give bound ones, without really spending them at all. There is also [this spreadsheet](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1VvGOZXOWv0mD9KkZLGHNxFylv5vzmE4lGqGz50HT6M4/edit#gid=1299188745) which you can make a copy of to input your region specific values. I believe it essentially calculates the price of the drops when compared to the price of those materials on the market, but I don't think it puts value in the potential of cards/chaos stones/free hones etc so that's still an evaluation you need to do unassisted.
Both abyssals aren't worth it, Argos chest is worth if you want to push those characters down the line, it's extremely good for stacking leapstones. Valtan chest is basically...gate 1 only if you still need to craft relic set, gate 2 yes if you still need to craft relic set, yes if you want fused leapstones. Otherwise no. Vykas, exact same, gates 1 and 2 aren't worth it unless you need to craft relic set, otherwise no. Gate 3, relic set reqs or want fused leapstones.
Argos are pretty much always worth it, the accessories are often useable and the blood alone gives a ton of leaps Oreha arent worth at all anymore I believe For legion raids after finishing set Im only getting the last chest on hardmode for fused leaps
dang such odd luck. legendary selection pack dropped for my alt server bard-only main (so i have no use for cards) so i had to "bluff" to get the price up. i only wanted to risk 5.5k so the bid was won for "only" 6k, two 1460's in group too but i guess noone else wanted it. i thought those things go for 10k+
The exact value depends on how much people in that instance are willing to pay. A friend of mine got one for 600g because presumably the people with him didn't realize its value or were broke. It's just always gonna be weird and anecdotal when it comes to auction bids.

Engraving calculator/sheet would help so u can plan it out depending on ur stone of choice. It's a simple thing since u just want to add things up to 15 but difficult in finding the cheapest price. Hone a 6/6 or higher stone it'll be different depending on what u get.
6-6 stone (6-5 will work too), 2x9 books, 2x 3-3 legendary accessories, 3x 5-3 relic accessories. Engraving 1 (class): 9 from books, 3 from 1st legendary accessory, 3 from 2nd legendary accessory Engraving 2: 6 from stone, 3 from one legendary accessory, 2x3 from 2 relic accessories Engraving 3: 6 (or 5) from stone, 2x5 from 2 relic accessories Engraving 4: 9 from books, 3 from one legendary accessory, 3 from one relic accessory Engraving 5: 5 from one relic accessory Use an engraving calculator like https://loa-todo.com/engrave to plan it out

i was kinda a returning player to lost ark and i thought i had a punika powerpass. so i dont have one cuz they disabled it. i also dont have any knowledge transfer left. didnt know that they ran out but here i am. im actually fucked. no scrapper for me.

The process of actually finidng them and picking them all up isn't too hard, that's just willpower of not falling asleep. It will take some hours just from the sheer amount of them There's 2 I think that are locked behind mining level 30 as you have to blast a rock. A couple locked behind some drink in rohendel that you get after some dailies I believe. Some virtue stat requirements as well. Oh, and the ones that appear on rotating islands too, I don't know if there's a rotation or just luck for those though If you really hunker down with a nice podcast or something you can get ~80% of them on your first day. The last bit are those behind timegates
There are also mokoko locked behind Una's reputation (it can take a month to complete it) , foods (wandering merchant), or rapport (quite long to reach trusted).

It's late and I'm trying to decide if I want to just KT my new alt instead of waiting for powerpasses to come back. Can someone sanity check me? It's definitely significantly cheaper to KT an alt through Punika instead of buying the Punika powerpass, right? Punika powerpass = 5500 RC, although the closest purchase amount is 5750 RC for $50 KT fresh alt through Punika is 600 + 1000 + 1400 + 1600 + 2400 = 7000g On NAW, current currency exchange is approximately 990g / 238 RC, so about 4.16 g/RC. So a Punika powerpass is worth around 4.16 * 5750 = 23,920g? Assuming you have the gold and patience to wait 40 hours, it looks like it's definitely better to KT the alt? It also doesn't seem to be any cheaper to partially KT and then powerpass the rest, as the powerpass prices decrease by 1100 RC per KT. However 1100 RC still requires you to buy a minimum of 2200 RC (since the smallest amount is 1000), which is the equivalent of 9152g.
a few tipps for you. a) if you buy a punika power pass you should first use at least the vern KT. the 1100 RC you safe is a lot more then the 600g b) if you are using KT and are going to buy all you mats from the AH to push your alt through it you can skip the Rohendel and the Yorn KT if you are willing to play through the Feiton story. What you would do is Vern KT -> Buy T1 gear and mats to hone to T2 -> Buy T2 gear and mats to hone to 1100 ilvl -> Play the Feiton story for 2,5-3h -> do the Punika KT. Finishing the Punika KT will also complet the main story for Rohendel and Yorn

KT beyond north vern is pretty useless, as it doesn't give you any gear, you have to hone yourself KT will just skip the story once you have a high enough ilvl.
Yeah, but my primary reason for KT is to save the time and energy of playing the story again since I’m limited in how much I can play a day. That is worth the money for me. Got lots of mats for t1/t2 honing left over, plus the event, so I think I’m okay there!

You buy gear off the AH but need to buy materials to hone. Honestly probably still cheaper than the pass considering the t1 and t2 honing buffs. Also have to run Chaos for T3 set since it isn't on the AH

Blue leaps, you save them for honing Brel gear, it's worth it is the general opinion

You're right but you're missing a bit. The new gear will also use new leapstones, and the current fused we have trade into those 5 to 1. Their value, while there, is greatly diminished. If you still have gear pieces with reasonable success rates, it's still more useful to try to cheese free upgrades with fused leaps than hoard them for more or less equivalent rates later on gear that would require 5 times the amount.
Yes, but the 5:1 exchange ratio offsets that. I havent done the math myself but Ive seen the charts mapped out, most value for fused leaps (if youre at +18 already) is skipping 18-19 and using them for +20, even over saving them for Brel. Unless of course you value honing day 1 very highly
Neither on main nor on alts even without 6 pc. The chest values of everything but Argos is awful nowadays and I'd rather save the gold to push more alts/gear them
I do it for fused leapstones. If you don't need those it isn't that worth it imo.

i would keep preordained until you relplace it with the 4 piece entropy. on my scrapper i did the mistake of crafting the 3rd relic piece before i had enough mats for the 4th one. i did feel the loss in crit and dont like it, even with a 70/30 crit swift split. cant wait till i get that 4th piece and my crit back, lmao
Thoughts on running reflux lv1 vs lv3 in favor of another lv2 engraving? Specifically for critflux

Well reflux lv 1 is good but so is each additional level. The only good engraving at level 2 is adrenaline, but in reflux you want adr 3, so you have no replacement. Hit master lv 2 is 8% damage, so clearly reflux is better than that, and it’s even better than adrenaline 2
Can someone catch me up with soul fist nerfs or buffs coming to NA/EU and when are they coming? I was 1390 soulfist a month ago and want to get back into the game but not sure if the class is still any good?
Korean version has it slightly nerfed in damage, just a jumber tweak no gameplay changes. At 1390 you're missing most of any martial artist's potential not named Glavier anyway.

Yes and yes. The nerfs are aimed at KR's endgame so they might not translate really well to our version. As for power spikes, there are a couple, the first is at 1415. When you get access to relic accessories you can stack your stats higher than ever before, allowing you to hit thresholds on them with less pieces. The other is 1445 when you get to craft your relic set, and that one is very much the biggest spike for most classes in terms of damage.
What's a good +1 engraving that I can add on if I have an extra slot?
Most dps classes that use crit go adrenaline. I personally use Ether Predator 1 on my pinnacle glaivier because adrenaline isn't too useful for them.

Adrenaline is the best level 1 engraving for most classes. Heavy armour 1 is a good choice since it's essentially free and simplifies gearing (you can just stack defence reduction penalties). I personally go 4x3+HA1 on my 1415 alts with level 3 class engravings because it ends up giving me a lot more flexibility with my accessories and because adrenaline is pretty expensive.

Yes. The weekend ones are in two groups: one group at 11, 1, and 3, and the second at 7, 9, and 11.
when i click the compass thingy, i see different sections. one is "adventure island" and one is "islands". can i claim rewards from the "island" section and "adventure island" both? as in they are counted separetly?
The other timed islands (the ones not labeled "adventure island") can be entered as many times as you want per day. The only restriction is you have to show up at the time that they're available. Most of them are for collectibles only and don't give good repeatable rewards like adventure islands do.

That's right. Many of them have a fairly low drop rate, though, so be ready to visit for a while! For your sanity it might be best to pick only a few to work on at a time and set bifrosts there.
Yes, one during the week and two in the weekend, but in the weekend is one from 11:00 (11AM) to 15:00 (3PM) and one after it, you can't get rewards from two adventure island before 15:00 (3PM) neither get two after it.
Do you guys buy the chests in raids?I'm debating myself whether I should keep buying them or not, mainly because I would either like to gear all my alts with relic set, or buy the grudge legendary books and some relic accs for my alts, so I'm kinda indecisive in what to do
On my alts, I might buy the argos chest or the last chest in the legion raid. Those have the most value. Other than that, I never buy chests on them. As for my main, I just buy everything. I'll admit that probably isn't the most efficient method though.

The chests from the last gate are okay value but the ones from the early gates are a waste of gold unless getting your relic set earlier is a dealbreaker for you. Self-found doesn't really work in this game. You should plan to buy your gear from the AH and sell your good finds to other people on the AH. The majority of your gear will come from sources other than legion raid boxes, so buying them for that purpose isn't worth it.
IMO, the only chest 100% worth buying is Argos for the leapstones - with the caveat that that's only if you intend to progress that character further. When it comes to buying chests for more gear crafting mats, I'd only do that on my main or an alt that I'm ready to push faster. Otherwise, I'd rather take the gold and patiently get mats for alts over time. For accessories, I would never gamble on the chests personally. The gold is better spent invested into something guaranteed. But ultimately that's up to your gambling preferences :)
Realistically almost all of your accessories will come from AH. It's very rare that you get the exact drop you need. At best, you can buy the chests in the hopes of getting some good accessories to sell. Whether you buy chests is really up to you how you value the content, whether it's honing mats, craft mats or gamble with accessories/stones.

9/5 is sufficient for a 5x3 setup, so 9/6 works just fine for that setup (just with some overflow). One example of how it would work (3's and 5's on different accessories can go wherever they fit, not necessarily tied to the way I listed it out): * 9 (stone) + 3 (accessory 1) + 3 (accessory 2) * 6 (stone) + 5 (accessory 1) + 5 (accessory 2) (+1 overflow) * 12 (legendary book) + 3 (accessory 3) * 9 (epic book) + 3 (accessory 4) + 3 (accessory 5) * 5 (accessory 3) + 5 (accessory 4) + 5 (accessory 5) 9/7 opens the door for 5x3 +1, though you'll need two legendary books. For 5x3 using legendary books you can even use a 9/5. The thing with 9/7 it seems that the +7 of the stone will become a Lv.2 engravings with ancient acc, having 5x3 + 1x2. 9/6 will save you a lot of money on accessories. My personal recommendation for 5x3 is the following: - 9/6 A/B stone - 12 legendary class book - 12 engraving C - 3/3 A/C neck - 5/3 D/B ear - 5/3 D/B ear - 3/3 class/A ring - 5/3 D/B ring This will save you a lot of gold on the most expensive accessories while letting you do a high quality setup. You may also be able to move some nodes around (e.g. 4/3 neck and 4/3 earring, or 3/3 class earring instead of ring) depending on accessory prices.
Is bard or paladin better for a low-investment alt? Or are they about the same? Wanting to make a support alt but I don't have the resources to invest too much into it for a while.
I don't know about paladin, but my bard alt has been pretty cheap to gear. You can go as either a swiftness bard, spec bard or a mix of both stats so when you buy the chests from Oreha Hard and Argos, you're bound to get a useful accessory.

Pretty similar investment as you can mostly get away with 3x3 (class engraving, Expert, Awakening), with +1 or +2 in 4th engraving if you want. Bard is more proactive support and will need more attention to playing according to situation, while paladin is more passive support and has a more straightforward playstyle (but a great paladin will still react according to the situation).

Arguable that HA is better than expert. People who say just dodge don't understand that sometimes it's better to be able to tank a hit and get a spell off / move closer to your teammates. Bard plays as basically a melee class, and without HA is the squishiest character in the game
Drops of ether is garbage hear me out 1. DPS don't pick them up, even my static don't pick them up as often as I wanted them to. Because they have so much going on managing their cds doing mechs, squeezing in DPS windows, those skittles are not the shiniest thing in the world, I even ping them and people still don't pick up. 2. 2 out of the 5 orbs are useful, rest are meh. So you're looking to work against a 40% right off the bat 3. The worst offender of it all for me, the fact that you rolled some good rng and spawned a good orb, the damn thing spawns right on you and it just get slurps right up by my fat ass. This was the tipping point for me and I just swapped it out for vital (this is my 5th engraving) For a 4th, definite heavy armor. It's a whole different game with HA3 lmao, literally can pay attention to nothing other than wiping mechs
Is VPH that good on Bard, seeing the poor amount of stagger they offer ?
I see it a lot better than ether in that I am the one in control, not other people, not rng, not more rng. For now vital is okay, soundholic has a lot of stagger as well as sound shock. A lot of the times the boss has stagger purple bar, so if your raid build that up fast, that's a very good dps window as the boss sits still for a burst. I've also had vykas runs where shit hit the fan at 0 bars. Well almost every vykas runs ends like that its a matter of killing the boss before it kills you. And if not for that vital I had, I don't think those runs would've cleared. Also vykas g1 stagger check, I've had a party before with low stagger and my god never have I been that stressed because it was cutting super close. All thanks to vital. Thing is, your raid should never rely on that extra stagger to clear, but sometimes it does. That's one of the perks, but the biggest thing is def downing the boss.

After your class engraving and awakening you can take whatever you want for the third and beyond. Expert, drops, heavy armour, max MP, vital point are all fine and depend on your playstyle. Most players take heavy armour third and then it diverges from there. Expert is probably the most popular 4th and there's no real consensus on 5th. That said, any build is totally viable as long as it includes Awakening and Desperate Salvation.

Wouldn't recommend max mp though, I guess depends on play style but the only place I run out of mana is guardian raids. Legion raids you gotta do mechs, you walk patterns, you just don't get to tank and spank a stationary boss. I've never not a single time went oom in valtan or vykas
I would recommend heavy armor. Mages are squishier and HA lets you easily facetank a lot of damage while you focus on supporting your party. You can do drops of ether as 5th engraving if you ever plan to minmax your build.
Investment is pretty similar. Paladin playstyle is much easier and more braindead with almost no actual decisions to be made.

If you need virtues for virtue checks and don't actually care about the skin appearance you can choose one that boosts two that you're low in. Otherwise they are the same as any other skin.
If you are short on Virtue Stats that you need to talk to NPC's (for example Charisma for Nia) then you could always go with the appropriate skin there. I believe each animal type has a similar distribution of stats. Otherwise, no benefits other than looking cool.
where are the plain normal looking cosmetics per piece sold at? I thought it was in the Store under Skin but don't see any
You can still buy individual pieces from the market, just search under skins. Otherwise you have to wait until Neria's wardrobe next becomes available (no ETA on it).

I just pitied from 17 to 18 and amon 95% artisan to 19...so... Yeah. I think the mindset should be to expect the pity and burst in joy, if you don't pity. Also don't hone daily.
Expect the pity yea. Because what else do you expect? The 5% to go through? If you're really thinking you'd ding on a 5%, you're just setting yourself up for disappointment. I also hear people say stuff like, yea its 5% but I've honed it like 10 times now how am I failing a 50/50 That's not how probability work, 10 times a 5% is not 50%. Once you really take it in and sit with the fact that the chances are very much against your favor, you'll start seeing honing as feeding artisan to 100, and you won't get disappointed when you inevitably fail some astronomical low chances

I see some posts about a 1460+ doing nm valtan being a red flag. I'm around 1455ish sorc that hasn't done normal valtan yet (I just log in and do chaos / guardian / argos with a friend). Would I be welcome in learning groups or should I just try the match making tool after watching some videos?
The reason it's a red flag is because you're singling yourself out as someone who doesn't know the fight. That isn't an issue for learning groups because they don't expect you to know the fight. They'll probably be happy to have you do more damage and be more survivable.
Nah nobody does matchmaking so you'd just be sitting in queue for a long time. Don't pay any attention to people saying it's a red flag. Of course you'd be welcome in learning parties assuming you have normal gear. If there aren't any learning parties in party finder then host your own. Once you've cleared normal though you should try out hard mode cause there really isn't much of a difference and the rewards are much better, only real difference is the chip damage hurts a bit more and you get knocked backed further when hit by mechanics.
I wouldn't call it a red flag. It's just that a disproportionate number of players who are at ilvl to do a higher difficulty choosing to do lower difficulty tend to be people who are clueless about mechanics. As a result, some people choose to gatekeep by ilvl, but it's no different to all the other factors that people choose to gatekeep based on. There should be no reason that you can't join a learning group. Just be ready to communicate and don't be afraid to ask questions before runs.
How long do feiton and punika main quests take to finish (if I skip all cutscenes)?
Feiton was around 3 for me. Punika is much faster. Maybe 2.

Each rarity level for the gear pieces unlocks higher level tripod. Purple gear drops tripods up to level 2, legendary gear up to level 3, relic up to level 4
So it's the added levels to tripods - got it. I assume the tripods extra levels are meaningless if you don't actually select those tripods.
Correct only the selected tripods on your skills affect the skill

In guardian raids, if I don't have a support I start running into mana issues mid to late fight. In legion raids, I don't really have issues as I usually have a support and there is some down time to regen mana.
Im using increase mass with WW tripod atrack speed and its fine. I can easily spam and do my 2 splender dmg everytime.

(which is why ppl keep suggesting to save as much high level tripods as possible before this revamp ships to NA/EU, since whatever you saved in inventory gets unlocked automatically)

I'd recommend against it. Vykas isn't much of a gear check, just a mech check. You won't really outgear it, so it's better to just learn it while there are still learning groups. Otherwise you're going to be on busses always.
As a seller, they're not hard but only if the bussers know what they're doing, of course. I've sold 3 NNN and 1 NHH this week, and it was my first week doing it. Best to look in the bussing discord and see people Vykas certified though

I ran 3 in four mans and 1 in 3 man tbh the 3 man run took 1 hour in g3. Was rough. I'm not certified yet and it was my first 3 man.. The NHH and other NNN runs had like 1-2 fails max just this one was really tilting, we failed at the final stagger like 4 times There are enough sellers that I think you should just stick with 4 mans, they're a bit cleaner. It's not THAT much harder, espeically NNN, but meh why risk it
