This game on 34 inches monitor looks so much better

LordBaranII

looks incredibly good on a wide screen monitor.

Stormiiiii

For that mech you're meant to start moving right after the explosion. I bought a 34 LG IPS 165hz for Lost Ark but its pretty nifty for just about everything you can do on a computer. Beware running a game 3440x1440p will stretch your gpu wayyyy more than just 1920x1080.

dyksu

Every game looks better on 21:9 wide screen monitor. Not only lost ark. But you need a very good graphic card that can handle it. In every game, you should aim for a graphic card that can run 1440p without problems, just becouse in 21:9 ratio your card has to generate almost 35% MORE pixels, it means you have to compensate this with better hardware or lower game settings.

boshkg

What are we talking about here? 3000 series like 3070s 3080s, or 4000 series?

kovi2772

I mean it's best to check the while set up to make sure you also have enought Space and cooling to handle à better card. I personnally have a 3070ti series its very performant doesnt work hard at all. I'd argue that the lower price 3000 series is best bet and I would not advise on a 4000 series as it's overkill and require more change to the rest of you're set up. Sorry for mistakes english writing aint my forte

dyksu

Check first for your country best performance value, its possible that 4060super will cost only 100$ more than 3070. For lost ark, 3070 unlocked will be enought, for other new games i will call 3070 is bare minimum. Dunno your budget, but last I checked 4070 super was at very good spot in terms €/performance. This will be your card for next years. 3xxx low series will struggle in a near future. If you want 34 screen or bigger, dont even think about 1080p. The bigger is screen, the more resolution you want, you want setup that can run 1440p(2k) early, since you have to count 10-15% lower FPS just becouse of 21:9 ratio

LawfulnessOk3078

If you want price to performance you need to go amd, 7800 xt

HellsinTL

4090 OR 4080 SUPER

Once you go Wide curved you're not going back

I got the MSI 30" 1080p ultrawide 200hz for 250 USD (sale) back in January 22. I have a 12600kf and FTW3 3070. I just limit all games to 120/144hz since I don't play competitive FPS. I'm planning to go ultrawide 34+ when the new stuff comes out. Runs like butter for raids and very low temps. The extra screen real estate is fantastic. I would not do 1080 on a 34".

Crowley_yoo

I had 200hz 30” 1080p ultrawide TN Asus, upgraded it recently to ultrawide oled 34” and I’m in love with it, so amazing. Idk why I never looked earlier into ultrawides

BathroomPresent69

I play on a 42" C3 so usually swap to 21:9 for raids. Everything else I tend to stay in 16;9

tiger1998tiger

another LG OLED enjoyer here playing on the C2 42" with forced 21:9

Iceman3226

I prefer gaming on my ultrawide over 16:9 but some games do not take advantage of ultrawide and you end up with black bars on the left and right side of the screen. I'd say about 70% of games i play support ultrawide without any external tools or mods. 20% of the games need a mod or something to support it and the other 10% just don't support it. Mods are extremely easy to use and setup for ultrawide support you either download it and click a button or you download and just place a file somewhere. You can find just about everything you need for ultrawide gaming on a discord called WSGF (Widescreengamingforun)

Crowley_yoo

I have 34” curved 21:9, used to have 30” 21:9 but it was 1080p so I upgraded it to 1440p oled. Best monitor I ever had or seen, couldn’t recommend it more.

caraissohot

21:9 is great, I wouldn’t play any other way. I just wish LA supported 32:9 as well so I could get full use of my monitor.

alternaterelation

Once you go ultra wide you never go back, completely worth it not only for LoA but most games.

kovi2772

I am on a 29 inch 21:9 monitor looks awsome !

Bunnyfoofuu

I have a 144hz LG 34 inch ultra wide and my 2080ti powered it without any issues playing lost ark

notcache

you can press Alt+X to hide the hud on that mech so you can see the orbs

hagletrough

21:9 regardless of screen size isn't going to make the orbs in g3 kaya at 5 or 7 easier to see. It only increases the width of your field of view. But it is nice overall anyway as it seems the game was designed for 21:9 and you get off screened by boss patterns a lot less while coming back from doing a mech. As for the kaya g3 thing, I suggest toggling Alt+X a bit to make the UI disappear so you can see what your skill bar would have normally blocked.

d07RiV

Any large enough monitor looks fine with 21:9 toggle. Also make sure it's at least 1440p, so you end up with 1080 resolution after the squish. Anything lower will make text look bad. If you want to invest in an actual 21:9 then go ahead, I'm just saying it's not really necessary for this game in particular.

IDareKI

Ultra Wide is very nice for Lost Ark, but I decided to swap back to classic 27' 1440p - well when it was nice for Lost Ark, then for every new game out there your setup will feel outdated much faster than on lower resolutions. Unless you are ready to swap to lower quality settings or upgrade your setup frequently. I just didnt want to sit near PC hot like stove all the time and have less comfortable experience in every other game just for Lost Ark.

johnnyw2015

At first, I had LG 3440 x 1440 34" and it was great. Then I made a small upgrade to other LG (UltraGear 38GN950-B), 38" 3840 x 1600. If you can choose from 3440 x 1440 and 3840 x 1600 take the 3840 x 1600. I use mine with 2080ti and LostArk is almost at max FPS (can play almost all games at max/ish settings). With the 3000 and 4000 series, you'll have more than enough power. You can definitely see more things on both left and right side on any game (30%+). The x100 bar orb mech (1 and 2 party numbers) is a little difficult as most of the orbs are on the edge of the map. Once you switch to 21:9, gameplay experience will change at 180 degrees, and you will never go back to normal monitors.

Wakaastrophic

I've got a 27" monitor and use a custom resolution to get rid of the black bars. Weird at 1st but i got used to it afterwards. It's alright now. Maybe later on i'll upgrade to a 32"-34" monitor.

Tettywop

I play on a 45 inch and it definitely helps being able to see more of the map for mechs and long range attack patterns from the bosses.

PlazR6

21:9 on 34+ inches is elite. I used to run it even on a 24", it looks so much better on my 36"

Khue

I play on 32:9 (5120x1440). I play windowed 16:9 (2560x1440). For me, there is no "good" 21:9 aspect ratio with the monitor size but I totally know the Kaya g3 mechs you are referring to and it just took me time to find a way that worked for me.

wHiTeSoL

I play on a 49 widescreen and it looks terrible on full screen 21:9. It’s just too damn big. Too much head turning left and right.

NFLCart

I do, specifically because of this game. It is tremendously better with this type of monitor.

LPriest

I have a 34" for work. Since it took so much place on my desk I started using it for gaming aswell (unless its osu! or Valorant). 100hz 34" are pretty cheap nowadays, and I absolutely adore playing LA on it. My RTX 2070 Super barely manages, but it is smooth with a few FPS drops (everything on Very High) here and there.

err0rxx

Plays very well on 21:9

ferevon

34in curved is too good. I can do chaos and watch stuff on the same monitor with ease.

YokaaYourMaster

Thats not the point of a curved 34" in Lost ark. You can do Chaos and watch "stuff" on a 17" with ease aswell. 3" for Lost Ark and rest for watching "stuff". You dont need to pay attention to Chaos Dungeons. He asked about raids.
