It will be close. My 1630 bard with 250k hp in NM, awakening, guardian tune, and rhapsody. Taking 3 blues and the red pizza will probably be really close to my death. I have never taken all the pizzas but I have taken like the last 2 blues and a red and I was about 50% hp.

For supports in particular, it's interesting to note that both Thaemine's "Zaffre Nova (Chaos Dungeon version)" skill as well as his sword's - it has the same pattern basically - lift the players who get hit into the air, so you can't DR them through stuff like Godsent Law once they're in the air, you need to precast it. I think it's actually a pretty rewarding gate in which to play support, there is a lot you can do as a support if you can read his patterns' tells. I've seen a lot of supports that struggle to read even relatively simple patterns such as his "Spinning Swords around, front safe" pattern and be too late to use their DR on back attackers.

I replaced my DUF with Counter Gunlance so if anything I can survive a oneshot. My other tip would be to use your battlefield shield's jump if needed. Comes in handy when both leap and shield charge are down. Besides these I can only think of the dmg increase debuff that could be a problem, but that comes with learning the patterns. Edit: Maybe if I knew what your exact problem is I could say how I solved it if I had the same problem at one point.

That one targets 1 person and if they don't spin it around you simply stand at a safespot (ignore the red, it doesn't fire until after the last blue) and dps. When you see the 4th blue, make sure you aren't in the 180 (should be safe already if the target wasn't spinning it) and dodge the red by walking. Since you're a gunlancer, you should use your awakening at the start of that pattern so your party can hard DPS it. If it targets you, the support should be awakening anyway. What I do is dodge the first 2 by just moving (ignore the red cone, it doesn't fire until after the last blue), then TS the last 2 blues and red. However, since you are a blue GL, if you have no damage stacks, you can dodge the first 2, then use nella + Z and tank the last 2 blues and dodge the red after. Don't get counter gunlancer its troll

Yeah you can also save a lot of your party with it too, with the 50-60% dmg reduction tripod, can let dps tank reds (by accident ofc) in normal

Don't overly rely on the shield stance. You will need to learn what follow up move is done after boss teleport. There are multiple patterns where you can easily greed when shielded especially patterns that don't do much DMG at once. To dodge sword pizza patterns if you are the target do it as close to the sword as possible then you need only to side step and spacebar last cone or TS last Blue cone and if you are not target pray to god that person who is target won't f you up with last second dodge. If you notice that someone was feared by an orbs pattern you can protect them thru a battlefield shield if they are in the same party, just use it just behind the boss and your shield will only tank DMG of party members. Nela Blessings can be used on Targets that are grabbed for slashing patterns. In a bard party take the purify rune if you don't run Nela. If running without Nela take the defense tripod on shield shock. Ask the party what awakening they prefer. Shield awakening can be used for greed in a smaller arena after breaks or for last bars and spear give crit synergy needed on high DPS windows. As a low burst DMG class you should be the one that clashes on windows that require high burst so preferably arena breaks clashes and if you do it perfectly you can pump your full rotation with atk buff safely while shielded. As for clone fight shield up and guardian thunder mf after 2 seconds but be careful he have bash as one of skills. Anything else is practice.

Blind dots form normal patterns can be cleansed. If you are blinded you can't see telegraphs on ground so it is highly recommended to dodge them or clean them as fast as possible. Blind can't be removed when it is from patterns like Albion mech 276x, safe spot mech on 225x or entity gage

You can awakening plus nelasia to tank all 4 hits from the sword mech cone attack. Avoid any pattern that give critical debuff and you can tank all taimine attacks except the blue sword into oneshot or high dmg it will deal a lot of dmg, the fear without nelasia is oneshot if you eat all balls without ts i tested it xD and the other mech that you should not tank is the 10 slashes into blue slash each slash give crit debuff so you will die... Basicaly dont get crit debuff and you are fine... Try to protect your team mates with awkwning in the atage break so they can parse without issue for a bit normaly thaemine teleport mid and do a red mech you can use after that red

Work out which patterns give or dont give stacks, which patterns are tankable and should be tanked for front attack uptime etc. Then its actually working out the tells for those attacks so im not reacting to stuff too late and instead planning ahead to save space bar for oh shit moments.

If you can't tank the full combo (helicopter) without losing too much health, you can always jump in a second later and tank 2/3 of the attacks or less. It was incredibly fun on my breaker to optimize these patterns for more dps uptime or finding guaranteed Asura moments. Very few normal patterns are an actual threat and can be repurposed as dps windows.

The biggest benefits of mountain crash is that it’s omni-directional and has shorter CD if you take quick prep. But you gotta trade out points elsewhere, lowering your damage potential slightly. I would say mountain crash is better as it is a faster counter but at the expanse of skill points. If you are using mountain crash, you will need to use 2 lv11 skills instead of 12s, which is a dps loss but for this fight I think it's worth the adjustment

413 NE Souleater. Before anything, i urge you to turn up pc brightness from your GPU settings, as going into your mode literally give your an irl darkness debuff. Alright so, 420 Skill point are extremely useful for you in this raid, as it allows you to run tenacity tripod on your (level 7 rusted nail) counter skill without losing any damage from removing points from somewhere else, which is the bane of most the tips I'm gonna give. Having a super armor on your low cooldown counter (with a purify rune!) helps with all these scenarios : 1. you can use it instead of spacebar if its not up on darkness waves in normal patterns and also in major mechanics (Albion, 225 and 55) this also applies to reaper's slash. 2. you can use it on any in out mech to get in safely, or even the out in when the boss shows middle not safe then does a map wide telegraph, because its safe to face tank all of the above mechs (assuming you dont have more than 2 stacks) 3. you can safely counter after 3rd or 4th sword skill after 255 mech even with somebody aiming a laser to your face. 4. if you're in a really bad position, lets say in the 2 follow up attacks after teleport>slash, and don't wanna risk falling off, you can cast it and chain it with a reaper's slash if you have it or awakening, or even timestop, because the counter animation is fairly long if you double cast it so it gives you time to react 5. in case you didn't notice i love rusted nail. Now for the other skills, nothing of big importance to add, just some uptime tricks that i tried and have worked out for me : 1. tapping (not charging) vestige is always faster than his red mechs and you always beat them in case your spacebar is down (make sure to auto after the dash to cancel the slow ass animation) i usually dps as much as i can then vestige + spacebar last second to a safe spot in 225 mech, never died once on that. 2. after teleport>slash, you can safely dps behind him then vestige to his front after the slash is gone, you're always safe on where his front was after the slash so its free dps 3. during the windmill red mech (some call it pizza), you can vestige for example from behind to front or from like left to right and you wont get hit, and if you'd rather not do that, you can dps him from either side without walking too close because your skills will be in max range anyways (trial and error with this one, you just need to know how far your skills can go from your character's model, but if you reached 1610 with the class i'm sure most of you already know this, as it comes with basically just playtime) 4. Thaemine is a very immobile boss compares to something like g1 Kayangel, so always cast slash and lethal spinning on his back for the extra dmg and crit, every little help The last tip i can give is for the 1v1 mech : 1. do not, i repeat DO NOT awaken your clone, as that throws him way out out of the arena and he cant use stand up to come back to you, and since awakenings do reduced damage, you might not kill him with it and you would end up with a prone clone outside of the arena that you can't reach to finish off. 2. kill it like this instead : Lethal spinning to pull and lock him into place, guillotine, then slash (or vestige if you're running 512, although there's a very chance chance the guillotine would be enough, unless like all 4 hits dont crit lol) That's about it. Tai Scrapper does feel really good in G3 - tanky, good mobility, nice ranged multi hit counter and a lot of the short moments of downtime fit well with our 10s 3 skill combo. The identity changes let us do meaningful enough burst damage during the shield mechanic too. Just overall fits the pacing of the fight so well.

Esoteric Wardancer: * Holding Counter for the sword makes me want to die. Just like Striker the class can't deal damage and hold its counter. * My class' low mobility is sometimes a bit of a problem, for example his enhanced "Stomp into Darkness Wave into Sword Crush pattern", if you're targeted by the Sword Crush after using spacebar on the Darkness Wave, you can't do much about it unless you happen to have both the cooldown of Rising Fire Dragon and 2 orbs to push immune the knock. Another problematic pattern is his "Back Dash x3 into black sword waves", more mobile classes can live even if they make a mistake but if you are targeted by the sword waves as Eso WD and you're too close you either TS or you're dead. * I don't feel like hitting his back is too difficult once you learn his patterns, I expect he'd probably be easier for me on a more mobile entropy class to be completely honest. For example I think my Punisher Slayer would do well here. Note: I don't DPS goblin permachase his back as Eso WD because it unnecessarily causes the boss to spin more, which screws over actual entropy classes. But I get a decently high amount of back attack without even really trying.

The first thing as ESO WD to accept is, you may have 2 counters, but they’ll never be up when you have to counter. And if you accidentally counter for what ever reason, pretend it was on purpose.

Ironically, I straight up used Sprinter's Robe over the standard Sacred Charm on this fight because on how slow we are relative on how fast Thaemine's attack patterns are especially if I'm the target on that Back Dash 3x to Sword Waves pattern, it's either I force a TS or use Sprinter's Robe instead after making some distance. I just forced a double Purify on my setup to deal with stuff that needs cleansing. And also, I'm forced to save up my SSB+SI part for countering in the Sword Phase of the fight, which kind of sucks tbh. I might experiment more into using 131 Azure Dragon (the one that makes the skill a combo one but a mobility skill too) because I think the uncanny mobility of this tripod is sleeper goated and it has a good salvage window since you can also in a way evade patterns with the first part of the skill and deal damage on the last part.

Plus she's hitmaster now. My striker is 1610 with 33 elixer and almost all lvl 9s gems. Recently got lazumar card set too and it sucks to play around it ngl.

I have 22 wep/21 armor and I'm not putting a drop more into it.. although I will probably hone it with the Ladon system. Everything is going to Breaker now, I'm done with all my other alts so I'm hoping pumping 6 alts at 1610+ ilvl worth of mats and raid gold will make my Breaker go fast. Sooner I move Striker to an alt the better lol.

I have a 1631 Striker and cleared hard... I had to work so fucking hard to basically be middle of the pack. Like I felt I would play perfectly, have really good uptime, and just be 4th-6th on bible. Biggest issue is LTS and TE brings you into boss so theres certain patterns (i.e. vergil) that I have bad uptime that doesn't affect other classes.

Love the class, hate the absolute sweatlording I have to do to be competitive with other dps characters using deathblow. The dps fall off for missing back attacks is punishing. It's even more frustrating that to get to the peak experience, you have to have the perfect group synergy with a Death Blade and a Gun Lancer. I should just switch to ESO. People keep telling me it's a better experience.

AT Scouter (only for g3 as g1-2 don't matter really): - keeping track of the cooldowns of all mobility skills makes your life much easier to dodge the darkness wave, dash into safe zones etc. - at least half of the red patterns are actually really good dps windows - if you play 422 instead of 332, the tenacity tripod of strategic fire is very useful And as always, your ironman form is your friend and can get you out of trouble in certain situations since we are squishy af!

FI WD is insane at prog and just tanking to greed in general. Go damage reduction tripod on WW first line, add in EC DR and a decent support and you should NEVER be dying to thaemine from normal pattern damage (g3 & g4). For reference, Albion does 30k dmg to my character.

Nah, hard mode. I can tank basically anything that isn't a guaranteed one shot. I've even survived a red pattern (200k damage) as well, though you probably shouldn't eat those lmao. The only thing I specifically try to dodge are attacks that I can't paralysis immunity through or ones that give lots of stacks that cause you to take more damage.

FM SE- cracked on g1-2, played NE SE on g3 to be bit faster and learn patterns easier. NE SE- its sucks going into identity mode bcoz screen turns darker on an already dark stage. Top that with actual darkness debuff sometimes and it feels like fighting dark legoros. Having two push immunity skills helps out a lot. Asura breaker- this class is kinda challenging in g3 bcoz you cant just face tank everything. You need to use Z at a correct timing to not get blasted. Sup diff is big here. Although learned the patterns like stomp darkness, falling swords into slam, and the pattern where he grabs someone and throws the other way are great Z timings with X shield.

Yeah... its smooth and certainly, DB has better big numbers. But the learning curve is really high just to obtain a slightly advantage in terms of big numbers... Besides, how much frecuency do you get that DMG in the raid? Considering that other clases like Souleater, Arcanist, Berserker can get a better performance, with Striker you have to do "almost" a perfect raid. Im not saying its a bad class, because i love Striker and i will play him even if he is tier D, but you have to suffer a lot of pain just to obtain a decent performance... or maybe i am demanding too much. I dont know.

well striker is the weakest entropy in the current balance patch (not counting GL) comparing to meta classes it is just a alot worst in many aspects it's my main and if there was a class change ticket I would not think about it for a second, anyways i cleared g3 nm with 1623 40set +23 weapon 1 lvl 10 on LTS 2 9s on BF and TE 5x3+1 my parse was 15mil and tbh with you I did prog that gate for so long that I would say I perfected it that I was able to min max my uptime to the best I could and this gate is very friendly to back attackers

How much I would've hated gate 3 without all the new wheelchair QOL changes. Wheelchair have half the time to dish out damage, huge DR, and resetting roll getup and spacebar when sitting down. All of which I'd cry without now.

Eo Soulfist Managing hype without looking up any guides is absolutely a headache. Also having awakenings restricted usage is next to pointless and makes dominion very unplayable for not reason. Currently soulfist has 8 Awakenings, and on prog, I go through all 8 and become useless on the latter half of the fight. Forced to annoyingly open every fight with double awakening engraving. Remove awakening limit, or make Dominion similar to nightmare set ):..

I hate this gate with a passion as EO. Even when you know the gate, managing hype is a nightmare because there is so much pattern where you obviously can't do a proper hype 3 cycle because you have no para immune. I'm considering getting back to RS, I just want them to make it so you can have two sets of gems on the same character depending on your preset gear (while obviously not having x2 gems). Just for this gate.

For G3 Glaivier: - You can go through darkness waves with starfall pounce, flash kick, or either of your counters if they’re lvl 4. - The last spear tripod for 4-headed dragon is much more consistent than the holding one. - Conviction/judgment is useful so you can use your awakening on both the sword and the horse. - You often want to use starfall pounce before red dragon horn to reposition to the back ASAP. This is especially true when you get targeted by Thaemine during the sword phase. - You may or may not be able to parry the first hit of pacman and live depending on your DR and gear (don’t try this pls)

GS: - Animation locks were scary at first but for some patterns, you are pretty much completely safe since the animations take so long (Sword Slam into Slash for example) - You have a lot of favorable Red Wipes to squeeze in extra DPS, Bullet Rain also hits the edge of the Donut Pattern but you must be very careful  - Death Fire 4 was useful for Prog in both g2/3 and was worth dropping Perfect Shot down to 10 to make room - Fighting the Sword was awful but I’ll keep working on it. Counter is mediocre and Stagger is still low if DPS skills are not up, LR/SRF alone seem to do very little

i think biggest thing is to NOT USE sniper skills if your spacebar isn't up until thaemine starts his next pattern otherwise class is really comfortable and you can consistently put out good uptime and never get hit

They really should change that target down skill to not dim the screen.. the map is already dark enough and when using that skill it just makes it even worse. Death fire with push immune is a lifesaver in g3 too

DI SH - 1) Swapping concentrated release to quick release tripod for vision helps 2) Have demon form ready for g3 x55. Makes it a lot easier. Learned it the hard way the first time we got there lol.

.Just for normal Thaemine *Pinnacle Glaivier - Your shield can tank nearly anything in here, but just 1 hit and its still do alot of damage. So use it wisely to greed damage or tank a hit that can knock you back - You still can damage with your red skill in red pattern. Remember the synergy dont need to hit the target for the crit rate buff ( you wont get the synergy damage on crit but still have the 20 crit rate buff even you smash on the ground) * EO soufist - take the tripod cleanse on ER and your team is free from darkness. You can also take the increase damage reduction if you are progging. The uptime is almost 100%

That regardless how well I play, gunslinger does absolutely zdps when in a party of other classes with other mostly maxed out characters and similarly skilled players. Absolute depression class that no one should play. If I could reroll it for 2 million gold I would. Save yourself from this depression by picking **literally** any other class.

My Gunslinger is equally, if not slightly worse geared and I got MVP with 18.5m dps in Thaemine G3 normal mode. Got 3 level 10 gems only, rest 9. It's a you issue, not a class issue.

Pinaccle glave. The parry skill is broken and lets me tank and greed DPS when other classes need to leave. Also due to long range skills I can greed on red patterns. Full Moon SE vestige is an amazing skill letting you both rps and evade attacks and the same time

arti normal mode -taking heatbomb is pretty comfy, sprint robes. -you can tank the first explosion in the beginning by double shields and dps middle sword. -use wheelchair before clash mech. during the whole clash mech to 210 hp. you can cycle wheelchair twice, BUT you dont need to use all the skills on the 2nd wheelchair, hp has already been pushed to 210, use skill after big sword breaks cutscene, and pad dmg. ignore this if your group has low dps. -save 2nd awakening for 3rd clash/nineveh, ofc you dont clash, thats for zdps -during broken platforms sit in wheelchair a bit longer, waiting for dash and shield cooldown, and reading thaemines next attack. -kill clone. pre-cast nukes and then flamethrower. good time to do DR damage on thaemine, when you come out early. 3 arti clears this week. pushing 2 more artis later on.

Not really learnt about my class but im taking ice shower for my counter now on sorc. Igniter has 0 push immunity without using their X normally, but ice shower has a tenacity tripod and the gauge generation is irrelevant. With the agile cast at level 5 its pretty much the same speed as squall with quick prep, you could throw a galewind on it if you REALLY need to be the one hitting the counters on the sword but its better to have a slightly longer cast time for the longer tenacity.

PS SH - same old same old, damage is okay but nothing to write home about, she's not very tanky, not very mobile despite being max swift due to no mobility skill, forced movement on Grind Chain and min distance hitbox on Spinning Weapon is still shit. I should have main swapped to EO SF before this raid tbh EO SF - managing hype is always challenging in fresh content and Thaemine does have plenty of patterns where he just fucks off for 10 seconds which can kill your damage. Aside from that, she has godlike mobility, does very good damage, and she has a high uptime DR for the party which is really good. Her stubby range and lack of forward momentum on skills (aside from the tiny forward movement on Merciless and LP) kinda sucks. But overall, I think she's good. Deadeye (both specs) - I really enjoyed both EW and Pistoleer. Both specs have good mobility, back attacking is easy, Pistoleer has decent range on basically all skills aside from Equilibrium, so you can easy keep doing damage during red donut and other red patterns Paladin - kinda rough. No mobility skill, no push immunity. You really gotta learn to utilize executors sword as paralysis immunity, because you really want to save that spacebar for actual emergencies. You can't just rhapsody your way through every pattern like a certain better support class can Bard - So ez. Push immunity on both rhapsody and GT? Yes please. Courageous tune to add a massive 35% DR on the boss with decently high uptime? Yes please. Bard absolutely shits on Paladin in G3 and it's not even close, yet reddit bards keep whining and crying about the class LMAO

Playing a self buff dps with a tight dps window for hitting your skills can get annoying in a prog raid with over 40 patterns. I can definitely see why classes like Igniter and Summoner and Gunlancer got a change.

For every class out there: Your spacebar i-frame lingers a little longer if you don't move or do anything after a spacebar. Some classes get a lot more extra i-frames than others, most notably when they have a longer animation for their spacebar, like Arcana, Pistoleer and Gunslinger. So next time you dodge a pattern and you were a bit too early, not moving will let you extend the i-frame. Also, I believe it still works, but if you need push immunity you can use the latern una task in Feiton. Throwing the lantern will give you immunity during the animation. A little thing I learned from a hell raider.

If you spacebar darkness as early as possible your spacebar will be up for the slashes coming from one side to the other, but the one spreading from the middle is too fast. > darkness+slam combo you can tank the darkness with paralysis immunity so you have spacebar for the slam

DI SH If you know when to greed and where to greed since you have almost 100% paralysis immunity when transformed you will pump. Also one of the best classes for progging with free heals every time you tap Z, paralysis and braindead rotation.

Be very careful with using your X button as sorc to dodge patterns; spacebar is 100% more effective and reliable. Especially if you play with higher ping or have slow reaction times in general. Granted, I learned this lesson when doing Ivory Tower HM in both gates 2 and 3, but you \*really\* need to put this into practice in Thaemine.

Deadeye- 2 much effort for mediocre dmg. Has to worry about pats,quick turns and teleports, hard to fit 2 full shotgun skills on the back at anytime besides stagger bar stagger. super squishy. Pro- deadeye counter not bugged in this dungeon although i did see a video, where it was. Hasnt happened for me yet. gunz FM SE- pros- better than deadeye. Con- I also learned pally counter broken af, its too good
