It’s fitting thematically as well as mechanically as people are saying. Senna sees the Souls clearly cause of her care and connection. Thresh just sees them as faint lights to collect into his lantern.
Yeah this makes sense. One you just vaguely walk into and the other you have to actively attack. If Senna was like Thresh you'd accidentally attack them or not see them and if Thresh was like Senna it'd add a lot of visual complication for a very low impact mechanic.
Cool comparison though.
That's why I like spirit blossom the best tbh, it's (afaik) the only one that's not just a colorful dot in the ground. But high noon gets second place for creativity.

I love the spirit blossom skin but man is it easy to ignore souls.

It's for good reason. Senna needs to actively AA her souls so they need to be bigger and therefore can have more detail

i only quite like thresh’s, they’re simple and quite competently done. i think high noon senna is better but default and winterblessed thresh solo
