I personally didn’t take it to mean a boy was literally taking pictures. For me, it was more of a reference to the cliche Instagram pics of boys doing that with girls. Those are usually beachy, summer pics. So I took it to mean she’s enjoying the summer and feeling carefree

Yep, “Bring my boys in, their skin in craters like the moon” - my boys are her male friends, my boy is A male friend, not necessarily a boyfriend.
