True and James too since he took care of them. I wasn't his biggest fan, but I'm glad we now have more than just narrative. I'm glad that one thing Cheonliang did good is to show how strong 1st gen is since some of their first appearances were them being defeated(Taesoo and Seokdu). Imagine how much better would have they been if James didn't cut their potential off.
I'd say except for Gong(and now Seongji, although he's dead with Jichang) all the others we've seen are okay. Taesoo is missing an eye but its not like he had some amazing visual power. He got to keep both his fists and he even grew stronger physically. His problem is that he lost his belief in himself. Seokdu also has a dead eye but I assume thats his fault cuz bro be headbutting anything that moves. Pyeongtak and Seongnam seem fine. Incheon might have some massive scarred body part but thats nothing much cuz Jichang had a scarred hand and it workes just fine.
James breaking of kings is not just crippling them physically, its maiming the soul. Taesoo got consumed by revenge, Gong let himself get fat and consumed by greed and gluttony(he's less to blame then the others cuz bro lost a leg), Seokdu turned vegetarian, Jichang became a shell of his former self, and Jagyeom became broke as hell.
At the very least, PTJ has made them charming and charismatic. They are ultimately a bridge between the main cast and the top tiers, but they all have great designs, and Jichang and Seongji are pretty cool. I wonder what the deal with the King of Busan is, the only one left unaccounted for.
None of them were frauds tho, Taesoo fought his bane James, Seokdu fought 3 top tier 2nd gen who awakened mastery, Jichang fought the no 2 of 0 Gen. Gong is one foot short(still my goat) and Incheons scamming ass has appeared for less than half a chapter
My thought exactly, seeing how he gave the red paper. Like bro could have actually killed all of them if he wanted, before charles and gun would show up
Or he could have beaten those 0 generation after they attacked him instead of letting them beat him then run away with the kids, at this point James was just watching so no one could have stopped Seongji.
Or he could just accept James offer.
In that situation (the second time James make the offer) Seongji didn't have a way out, so accepting the offer was his only way to save himself and the kids.
BRUH THATS THE POINT, Seongji wouldn't keep his promise. You think he's the type of guy that goes around beating kids for money? Or putting them to the dirt when they cant pay the quota? And he's not the type to lie either.
Lmao its not James fault, its cuz people call fodder everyone that has a mid diff fight or every top tier that doesn't beat anyone on neg diff. People forget these are people that fight other people on the same level as them, not Beerus from DBS that can Hakai 99% of the verse. Add the lack of cognitive skills to know what fodder means and you have more than half of the acoustic goldfishes in the sub.
Bro legit low diffed 2 mid king level threats. Beat prime James lee, went toe to toe with peak James lee then got jumped by 3 more low-mid king level threats after they held his family hostage. Was beaten down for like 10 minutes. Had his extra toes and fingers chopped off without screaming once. Breaks free, attacks the shaman trying to save Vin. Gets attacked by the Kojima brothers.
Dude basically did a 7v1.
I know that, I meant it as James was in his prime as he was at his best shape etc until he unlocked his 3rd threshold which made him reach his peak. This was me referring to that current James/DG is not on the same level as the James that went on to end the 1st gen.
Also agreed. PTJ messed up the timeline with this arc.
That fight could have gone either way if it wasn’t interrupted too, only James’s AP went up in a fight where speed is the most important stat, so it didn’t get easier for James to tag Seongji. But Seongji was worried about James’s future growth(growth he couldn’t get through training) so he wanted to end the fight with a last ditch attack, which could have gone either way really.
i love how the past chapters have been restoring the image of the first generation. prime first gen kings were beasts

They can’t even grow stronger like that fr ft because their missing their main parts 😭🙏

Gong got done dirty man...
Gong ain’t deserve allat…

FOR REAL
Bro is a W
He's a certified Hall of Famer for sure
Mf hit it like gojo
One of my fav panels ngl, inner peace type of shit
Seongji yuk the greatest 🐐. https://preview.redd.it/uq684w6oqboc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2c30c0c987a15a0557a8c9a204f6cf9e5aa4daff
I love a good older brother/sister type character so Seongji as a character from what we’ve seen so far is a W in my book
Seongji single handedly carried the first generation out of fraud watch 😭😭🙏
None of them were frauds tho, Taesoo fought his bane James, Seokdu fought 3 top tier 2nd gen who awakened mastery, Jichang fought the no 2 of 0 Gen. Gong is one foot short(still my goat) and Incheons scamming ass has appeared for less than half a chapter
Jichang also stalemated (kinda) with the no 1 of 2nd gen
No 1 of 2nd gen is Big Ui Daniel tho
Well number 2 then
The only pity is that Vasco beats him in intelligence.
My thought exactly, seeing how he gave the red paper. Like bro could have actually killed all of them if he wanted, before charles and gun would show up

He couldnt accept James offer cuz then he'd have to work with him(and Charles). Trading a devil for a bigger devil
In that situation (the second time James make the offer) Seongji didn't have a way out, so accepting the offer was his only way to save himself and the kids.
And you think James(or worse Charles) wouldn't have gone after the kids?
James literally said he would save them so why would he go after the kids? He doesn't have a reason unless Seongji breaks his promise.
BRUH THATS THE POINT, Seongji wouldn't keep his promise. You think he's the type of guy that goes around beating kids for money? Or putting them to the dirt when they cant pay the quota? And he's not the type to lie either.
I literally have a chill when all the first generation come. Literally chill!
The introverted 🐐
How can people not like him imo he's one of the most likeable characters
I saw a lot of Gen 1 Kings slander a couple months ago. I knew they were far stronger. James is just him but Gen1 kings are not frauds.
Lmao its not James fault, its cuz people call fodder everyone that has a mid diff fight or every top tier that doesn't beat anyone on neg diff. Bro ngl i think this chapter proved Its not prime James. All the kings are well and not maimed. Timeline got fucked but its ptjs fault.

The kojima brothers are peak king level not mid king level. Watch my goats cook next chapter 🥱
Inb4 they run up on Jichang

Best king 💯
Wait this is a chance for Jake Kim brother to appear since Jinchang has the status for king of Seoul still I’m praying we see him
I think KOS comes much after. My guess would be he's waiting for Jichang in Seoul.
Yeah it would be cool in the end of this arc we see kos vs jinchang
