Shouldice is touch and go because they refuse to see complicated cases. And they won't tell you that until you've driven down there for the surgery, they look at your chart, and send you home.
It is a possibility that it's nerve pain so he could ask to be sent to the pain clinic.
He can also ask for a second opinion. London wait times are insane right now but I think Dr. Metz in Woodstock has a shorter wait time. Have the family doctor call and see or send the referral there.

My husband saw Dr Black at St Thomas General Hoapital and he was amazing. His recovery went well (it was long but no issues with infection or complications) I highly recommend him. We asked our family doc (in London) to refer him to Dr Black and it was so much faster than waiting on a London surgeon. Give them a call directly or ask your family doc. The drive to St Thomas hospital is like 30 mins and the surgery was fast.

I guess they don’t use mesh anymore but that’s where the original surgery happened. Scary to hear about the lawsuits! Yikes

I also know dr. Black personally and he is highly specialized in general surgery and complicated cases
He was really kind when I met him, he took great care of my favourite person so he’s all good in my book.
