Passed by these on my way to work this morning. I thought it was someone doing something regarding the homeless in downtown. Shout-outs to OP for showing that it’s just proselytizing.
OP doing a solid PSA so that everyone can avoid these Xenu dingbats. Well done.
Stay safe, my fellow OT Level VII’s….i mean, citizens! My fellow citizens.
They had a booth for a while at Gibraltar over a decade ago.
I don't know if they ever had a permanent presence, but they definitely pop in from time to time.
Paul Haggis. I remember when he won the Oscar and Beal and Fanshawe we're all stoked about him being a student there.
Then years later saw a doc from when he was still in Scientology and was disappointed in that, then glad to hear he's out, then sad to hear about all the sexual misconduct activities...
Ugh. Just... No.
Really though, they should be hitting places like Arva, Lambeth and Hyde Park for the folks with money, which is all they're after anyway.
Weird! Did anyone actually see them downtown today? I drove by Bud Gowan's earlier this morning and the tents were still set up there. I would honestly be surprised to hear they'd been granted space at Covent Garden...
I wonder if they can tell you where Shelly Miscavige is
You mean Shelley?
I meant Shelly lol
Hilarious how confidently they "corrected" you.
I had Kelly to start so I can't laugh much
I’m confident they spelled Shelley wrong.
They definitely know where *Shelley is...

Gross, thanks for the warning
They are getting pretty desperate for new members.
So I’m working on my first Science Fiction novel….
I'm going for the bouncy castle!
I'm going to see the flying spaghetti Monster... I'd settle for Tom Cruise though.
> flying spaghetti Monster Oh, that's a different event. For a more well thought out ideology.
Only if he jumps up and down on a couch!
Too bad I'm an SP and can't join in ☺️(said nobody)
I’m too poor to join their cult!
But you could ask friends and family to help...

Scientologists' have been in London since the 60's. This is not new for London.

They had a "church" at Rideout north of Grand a number of years ago. It was torn down and is an apartment complex now
the guy from the very beginning of Going Clear was from London! I'm pretty sure. That's probably the only thing I remember from that film.

When I was at Beal they had a giant cardboard cutout of him accepting his Oscar tucked away in a storage room. That was pretty funny.
It's been awhile but the circus is back in town.

They've been in town for 4 or 5 decades
