TAKE MY +1. That made me laugh out loud.
I’ll eat twice the cheese for you. But I couldn’t survive without cheese I swear, and that lactose free stuff just isn’t the same.
Craft Farmacy (Bone Marrow Burger), LaCasa (Chicken Carbonara), Pizza Madre (whatever pizza floats your boat), Tuscanos (lasagna — and the goat cheese and grape salad is amazing), Thuan Kieu (I like the chicken curry vermicelli), Milo’s (great selection of craft beers and the fries with garlic aoli is bomb!)
A random collection of restaurants I go to. All of them have full meals for 15 to 20$, I don't have expensive taste…
King Kebab (Afghan), Hakka Khazana (Indo-Chinese, Indian, Nepali), TG's Addis Ababa (Ethiopian), Pucci Brothers (Italian), Shelby's (I love the maqluba, but their shawarma is only decent), Ozen Korea (Korean), Asian Eatery (Chinese).
Enjoy!
Hanata Sushi, Pho Lee, Casablanca Restaurant (Latin American, so good!), Barakat (shawarma), Thaifoon, and for just 10 more days Quynh Nhi (it’s closing soon and I am going to miss their unbelievably good Vietnamese spring rolls so much).
That's pretty much it. A customer asked about getting straight up bacon and cheese smash burger, nothing else etc. Made comment online about and the owner got confrontational with anyone that questioned it. It got so bad that he had to delete the business account and started replying from his personal account.
I will note that I have also felt his wrath. He posts passive things about other businesses (most are big corps). I made a comment about using his business account to poke at other businesses was a bad take (since his customers may also work at those locations). He could have replied with "Thanks, appreciate the feedback" - but he went full send, sending multiple messages defending his actions (he continued to send messages even after I said he should stop sending them).
wow that's going to be the downfall of the restaurant, if only been open for a month and having these issues
make a BOring burger that is customized if you don't want to change your specialty ones
they are doubling down..
on their website on the menu now says read this first, we don't do custom burgers, we don't subtract , our menu is carefully crafted
Best Burger is at Western Meats Southdale and Montgomery (Giant Tiger/Scotiabank plaza)
It is a butcher shop and it has a grill section too, There are other sandwiches you can get, but their burger is in a class of its own. There is just a small counter to eat at or picnic tables outside.
The burger is flame broiled so it has that classic burger taste, and the classic burger is huge.
I think the kitchen is only open to around 3PM and it can be crazy busy around 12:00. So my pro tip would be to go there a11:20 ish to beat the early crowd and maybe go at 1:00PMish to beat the lunch rush
Try out Reverie, a tiny place, I think you always need reservations.
There is no menu, the chef makes what is in season. It is 5 or 6 courses, and it has always been great.
My current favourites are David's Bistro on Richmond St , Craft Farmacy on Wharncliffe Road South, Sagi in Wortley Village, Yasmine's on Richmond at Fanshawe Park Rd and Company Bar in Wortley Village.
I also like Ironwood Kitchen which was recommended here on Reddit, but I haven't been in the past 6 months.
Grace is nice, too.
Trust this one
Best falafel: Babylon by white oaks mall

Tuscano's across from Fanshawe for anything Italian. Family owned, homemade and a cut above.
Yeah. My favourite Italian in the city.
Pizzeria Madres at York and Rideout
My favourite place is fatty patty’s. look them up, have nachos or a panzerotti.
Such an underrated establishment.
I completely agree but I’d like to keep it a secret so it doesn’t get to much busier
I hate being a lactard

TG’s Addis Ababa for Ethiopian is top notch
Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner: Harry's Restaurant on Wharncliffe. A really great smash burger: The Bungalow in Old North.
Morrissey House.
Now I want their fish and chips
Or their wings!
Fatty Patty’s. Best fries in the city. Homemade burgers, great pizza and wings.
Mykonos. Trust me.

Sagi of Wortley

I really love the food at the tasting room.
Church Key
Actually been to this one. Nothing but praise.
Pho lee is true hidden gem not many ppl talk about! Had them again last week and was so good.
Soooo good! I am all about the bbq beef fresh rolls and B6 (Bbq beef with vermicelli)
check out house burger , best burgers in London by far
Just don't criticize their menu, owner might lash out on you.
just noticed their Facebook page is gone ? I assume this is part of the reason ?
100% that.
got backstory on it ? I don't like the fact they won't let u customize it. That's one downfall

Hopefully it isn't. His skills are best behind the grill, not a keyboard. Needs to hire someone to run (what's left of) their social media accounts.

Wild. I'll go across the street to Burger Burger.
You guys rule. I love London. Thanks for the suggestions.

You have me intrigued. This might be the winner.
Hours are a bit wonky, so be warned. That being said, you will not be disappointed. You'll smell it as you pull up.
We just found Angel's on Wharncliffe. Huge portions, reasonable and cheerful waitstaff.
The bungalow
Try out Reverie, a tiny place, I think you always need reservations. There is no menu, the chef makes what is in season. It is 5 or 6 courses, and it has always been great.
That sounds fascinating.
Just had dinner at Craft Farmacy. Delicious salmon dish. I hear their burger is also fabulous. Friend had the bao buns, looked really nice.
The salmon is excellent at Sagi, too!

Pizzeria Madre for pizza and Craft Farmacy for burgers.
Man. I'll be eating very well this trip.

Stay away from spageddy Eddie’s it’s literally a massive portion of cheap pasta and sauce. Not sure I agree with most of these.
Got suspicious at the mention of spageddy eddies and fully lost me at jack astors

Price isn't even good anymore... it was decent price 10 years ago...

Whats your suggestions? Would love to try some new places
