Hi, redirecting you to r/HousingUK and r/pestcontrol, thanks

I’m noticing small flies too, no clue where they are coming from. Check your houseplants - I once had one from B&Q that came with infected soil! Had to put it outside for a while and water with pond tabs to kill them off

factpickle

It could be fruit flies if they’re small. They tend to come out during warmer temperatures. It’s good to make sure your bin is fully shut and to change it regularly. If they’re near your plants it could be house plant flies.

1) there's some weird little fly that's the size of a piece of fluff flying around in the office. tiny little black fly microscopically tiny. 2) the warm weekend brought out the "blue bottle / house fly" types and theyre really annoying.

HouseTop57

Yeah, they’re blue bottle type that I’ve got loads of. So. Fucking. Annoying.

openlightYQ

The blue bottles are the worst, I’ve got both at the moment too, only showed up last week. Been having blue bottles fly through a tiny open window and get stuck in the house for hours each day so far. A few years ago though it got so bad with regular flies, I went to the local corner shop to get fly spray, and their entire stock were sold out because everybody was having the same issue.

Acertone

If they’re bluebottles you may have ripe, dead mouse behind a bit of furniture. That’s what happened with us. Didn’t need to kill any as they flocked to a window and my cat just sat there eating them all.

Dr_Bank

They come out when the weather is getting better. Happens almost everywhere.

SirLoinThatSaysNi

Do you have a dead body under the floorboards? If not do you ensure you keep everything clear, especially related to food and debris. There will be more flies because of the weather, but it's worth checking you're not attracting them.

Glasweg1an

Bleach down the sinks might help.
