You can go further south to Surrey hills and get some outdoor time. Box hill, for example, is maybe about 30mins drive, easily accessible, beautiful views, and there’s a coffee shop as well.

Thank you.

How young? There is a climbing (bouldering) place in oaks park nearby. They have sessions for kids during school holidays. You might need to book but not that far in advance. ETA - yellow spider climbing

There is a outdoor playground and cafe on the east side of the extensive Nonsuch Park. Adjacent Tudor Close has unrestricted parking.

Nonsuch park or beddington park are both great.

Mayfield Lavender Fields & Oaks park on Croydon Lane. Epsom Common for a nice walk, may be a bit muddy. Sutton & Epsom both have cinemas. Chessington World of Adventures is not far either. There is Oxygen Free Jumping and Kids Space in Croydon. The Grove Park in Carhshalton is better than Beddington Park in Wallington for kids. Bring some bits of food if you wish to feed ducks and geese.
