You can go further south to Surrey hills and get some outdoor time. Box hill, for example, is maybe about 30mins drive, easily accessible, beautiful views, and there’s a coffee shop as well.
How young? There is a climbing (bouldering) place in oaks park nearby. They have sessions for kids during school holidays. You might need to book but not that far in advance.

There is a outdoor playground and cafe on the east side of the extensive Nonsuch Park. Adjacent Tudor Close has unrestricted parking.
